Working with Kat Green Media was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Their communication style is thorough, relaxed, and they were always available to answer our questions. The quality of their work is excellent - they captured thoughtful, personal moments throughout our wedding day, including many candid photos of our friends and family. Kat had planned the timing for our couples photos in advance, and it all went very smoothly. The engagement shoot was also fun and helped us get more comfortable in front of the camera, which was great since we had never done professional couples photos before. We are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Kat Green Media to any couple planning their wedding.

Sound Originals Photo & Video

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

Sound Originals Photo & Video is a team of EMMY award winning storytellers. Our photography and videography packages are tailored to you, customizable and perfect for every wedding. We offer engagement photography, wedding photos, highlight films, wedding coverage and more.

Awarded Best of Zola
We initially went with Sound Originals out of cost consideration and ease of booking because their combined photo/video package seemed so much more cost effective than many of the quotes we were getting from individual photographers and videographers. We assumed therefore that the quality might be a bit diminished by comparison, but were quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case! We are beyond pleased with the coverage they provided of our wedding and reception, and would certainly recommend Sound Originals to anyone seeking photo/video of their big day. Our team on the day of the wedding were absolute rock stars. Kate, Trung, and Travis all were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond in ensuring we had excellent photos and video--both candids and plandids. We're so grateful to each of them for their excellent work! If you're considering booking Sound Originals, there is one practical consideration we might offer, however: Their business model seems streamlined to provide a standardized product and level of quality to many clients at once by contracting with local photographers and videographers--this is great for ensuring that clients know what to expect visually and that the company has backup photographers ready in case any members of the assigned team can't make it, but this also seems to come at the cost of personal touch when communicating with the company and the photo/video team. Our communications with them were always through a portal on their website and often felt rather impersonal. This was a trade off we were perfectly fine with, given the very affordable price we paid for our package and the piece of mind in knowing that even if our lead photographer got sick or something, someone else would be there to fill in. If you, however, require a high level of customization or personal touch and want to cultivate a close relationship with your photographer, then you may want to hire a photographer/team directly.

My husband and I LOVED working with Ali for our wedding at the Picnic House in Prospect Park! She was responsive to all of our questions and quick to answer calls and emails. Hiring Carly and Casey was one of our best wedding decisions. I could rave about their photos and videos, but their work speaks for itself. They managed to capture every detail of our wedding—location, small details, and most importantly the emotions of the day. Nothing was missed. BUT, when you hire Drzazga Photo, you’re hiring them for a lot more than just their amazing photos and videos-- Something I didn't realize was so important until the day of our wedding. Carly and Casey come prepared, organized, and with years of experience. They scoped out the venue prior to our arrival and knew exactly where we should go for family photos and bridal portraits based on the lighting and given timeline. This cut down on SO MUCH potential chaos. We decided to follow their advice on photo location, and definitely did not regret it. They know what they are doing. They are efficient and knew exactly what shots they wanted for both photos and video. There was minimal time spent on “posing” photos which allowed for so many more photos in our gallery and more time for us to enjoy our families. So, hire them, fully trust them, and you will NOT be disappointed.

We cannot say enough good things about Heather and her team. I discovered Heather in a bride group and knew that I just had to have her as my photographer. I expected beautiful photos, but we got so much more. Heather and her team made our wedding era so wonderful. She treats you like a best friend she’s known her whole life. Venture Ever After

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Holly Castillo Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,695
  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

I'm a CA based and travel wedding photographer. I've photographed almost 200 weddings, and every single one goes by so quickly. I love my job because even though the day goes by fast, I get to find and capture those small moments, sometimes just a fraction of a second long, so they can be relived over and over in photographs. I have a photojournalistic and documentary style, plus 9 years of wedding experience under my belt, so trust me that I've got it while you are able to fully enjoy your day and be present.

Awarded Best of Zola
This has taken me a little while to get to writing as after wedding day life has been a little chaotic but wanted to express praise where it was well deserved. Holly exceeded my husband and I's expectations as our photographer on our wedding day. Not only was she extremely professional, but she was kind, personable and very helpful. The photos ended up coming out GORGEOUS! We just could not be happier with her and are definitely going to be recommending her to anyone seeking a photographer.

Emma Lee Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style

  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

Hey there! I’m Emma. I’m a sassy, sarcastic redhead and also a complete sap. To keep it short, I value relationships and experiences above nothing else (although some would say I have a serious West Elm and pizza addiction as well). I love reminiscing and think some of the best nights involve sharing a bottle of wine with old friends and laughing about all of our past adventures (while planning new ones too!). When I think about it, I know I was meant to be a wedding photographer - because I admire your relationship, understand how important this journey to marriage is for you two and understand the importance of documenting it.

Emma was was absolutely awesome to work with! She made my now husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera and loved how natural the photos look! Emma was so organized and had great communication throughout so I never had to worry about anything along the way. I cannot wait for Emma to capture our life events going forward!

Just here to show off Myrtle Creative Co. Photography with Ann Marie! We recently got our sneak peaks back from our wedding July 2024. We had a multi-day event in and near North Cascades. (both elopement and wedding, so we have best of both of what Ann offers) We were looking for a down to earth photographer (to make us comfy) and one who traveled, but ended up with that and more! We had met up virtually with many other photographers before picking her! She was very helpful throughout the planning process, helped with advice on my indecisiveness and helped think of things no one else did day of and during the planning. Not to mention her talent (see attached!!) I have 0 complaints and only raves about our experience. (this is coming from a very type A person who doesn't usually write reviews) She was amazing and would recommend 10/10. Thanks Ann!

Jonathan Tung Photography

4.9

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

No matter who you are or where you came from, everyone has a story, and stories were meant to be told. I tell stories through photography. Weddings are incredibly meaningful and intimate. I’m not just someone with a camera who shows up and takes pictures. I believe in truly connecting and engaging with my clients so I can best understand how I can tell their story. With a bright, clean, and vibrant photography style, I help bring my client’s vision to life through beautiful photos that can be cherished forever.

Jonathan did an amazing job with our photos. The whole experience from a meeting before to consult about how we wanted the day to go, to easy to follow direction and advice on how to get the best possible pictures on the day. Jonathan is competent and quick but also laid back and helped us take the stress off what is already a very stressful day. And then the photos turned out truly special. Even on an overcast day he was able to create some beautiful photos that will last a lifetime for us. He had ideas for poses and framing but also gave us space to do what felt natural. We would LOVE to work with him again. Cannot recommend him enough

Lindsey Paradiso Photography

  • Serves Trout Lake, WA

Like many kids in the late '90s and early 2000s, I grew up with a camera in hand—Polaroids, video cameras, disposables, film—you name it. I was captivated by the magic of preserving moments and telling stories. Now, as a wedding photographer, I bring that same passion to capturing your day. I’m known for making people feel warm and at ease, whether it’s connecting with your family, hyping up the wedding party, or quietly documenting the in-between moments. My goal is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, celebrated, and truly themselves while preserving memories you’ll treasure forever.

I was lucky enough to have moved into a neighborhood where Lindsay became my neighbor. I needed a photographer and asked the neighborhood Facebook. Lindsay came highly recommended, I reached out and within hours I had an appointment lined up. Communication was amazing, her personality was wonderful and the quality of her work was outstanding. I was overjoyed with the pictures she produced for my family and having digital access was an added bonus! Lindsay, now, comes recommended by me!

They were so amazing, making sure to keep us on track all day (even though that wasn't their job) and they went above and beyond getting pictures of everything and everyone we asked of. She even helped me take my shoes off when my feet were hurting too bad - they were hands down the best photographers we could have asked for. They were absolutely amazing, sweet, so professional, had amazing photo ideas, and got all of our photos to us plus more on time. They even sent us a beautiful momentous box with all of our pictures printed, a beautiful USB drive with all our photos, a discount on another shoot, and a few other things. Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

Shooting with them literally feels like hanging with your best friends. They were an absolute joy from start to finish, but it was Sharayah’s attention to detail and artistic eye that impressed me above all else. It was inspiring to feel like we were all creating art together, and the photos don’t lie! Our engagement shoot went viral on Instagram, and we got hundreds of comments saying, “these are literally the best engagement photos I’ve ever seen.” I too, agree with that sentiment, but I have to give credit to Hereafter’s vision and execution because they NAILED it. As a team, they’re both extremely communicative and organized, professional yet relaxed in the way they interacted with us and our guests. No one has ever made me feel so comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, their digital color grading is meticulously adjusted to match 35mm film with incredibly accuracy. They perfectly captured the magic of our special day. We booked them for the whole package - engagement shoot, wedding photos, and wedding video with super 8 film. Their understanding of my vision was remarkable…Hereafter managed to romanticize every single detail in a profound way. The photos are so special to us because each one feels like a standalone piece of art. They went above and beyond for us in every capacity, even going so far as to drive me to the venue on my wedding day when things ran late! We cannot recommend Hereafter Films highly enough. Book them immediately! I promise you, they are worth every single penny and more.

Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that’s what we’re all about.

From the moment we reached out to Birchfields, their communication was quick, thorough, and sincere. Their attention to detail and ability to make us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera resulted in exceptional photographs that captured every special moment of our wedding day. Birchfields truly went above and beyond, taking unique angles and perspectives that allowed us to relive the entire day through their stunning imagery. When it’s hard to figure out which photo you want to print out and hang on the wall, you know you picked the right photographer! We could not be happier with the final product and would highly recommend Steve to any couple looking for a talented, professional, and personable wedding photographer.

We are absolutely obsessed with our wedding photos and videos! This team seriously brought their A-game and made our special day even more magical. From the start, they were super chill and easy to work with. On the big day, they were like ninjas, capturing every awesome moment without being in the way. They have such a knack for finding those perfect, candid shots that totally show the real us. Plus, the way they set up the posed photos. When we got our photos and the video, we couldn't stop smiling and laughing. They caught all the love, laughter, and even the crazy dance moves (hello, epic dance party!). The highlight reel was like a mini movie of the best day ever—we’ve already watched it a million times! The whole experience was just fun and stress-free, thanks to their good vibes and clear communication. They really listened to what we wanted and made sure we felt comfortable and relaxed. Thank you guys !

We started off as a duo of quirky plastic artists who wanted to try something new - capturing weddings in a unique way that combined truthfulness and creativity. Fast forward 15 years and many, many amazing weddings later, and we're still just as nervous and excited before each event as we were on day one. I guess it means we still care! We believe your wedding photos should be a true reflection of your special day - capturing all the laughter, tears, love and joy in a way that takes you back to that exact moment. Making you relive the excitement, nervousness, happiness and warm fuzzy feelings of your wedding day.

Eduardo was AMAZING!! From the moment we booked him till receiving our photos. The communication was direct and to the point which is what we loved. During our wedding he was extremely personable and made us feel comfortable and reminded us to just be in the moment. He really went above and beyond during wedding day. In receiving our pictures, we were even more impressed and so happy with how they turned out. We feel it’s important to have someone you can build trust and connect quickly in such an important day and that’s Eduardo. We are fortunate that we went with blackhatstudio for our wedding photos. We are so excited to now print them and share with our loved ones! Thank you Eduardo for capturing our day!!!
