Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Field of Flowers is an event venue located on a 27-acre farm in New Waverly, Texas. The original home was built in 1887 and was moved from Willis, Texas. As you walk into the Little Chapel in-the-Woods you are entering into a tradition. Located on the edge of Texas Woman’s University, the chapel is a secluded sanctuary that has held weddings since September 1939, a few months before its dedication by Eleanor Roosevelt. We have two beautiful ballrooms to host the wedding reception of your dreams! The Chapel attendant is present to set up the chapel for the wedding, set up the sound system and instruct your vendors on usage, and to oversee the facility. They will be happy to provide limited guidance and answer any questions you may have about the rehearsal or processional. If you desire full-scale coordination you are welcome to provide a planner or even a friend with experience to manage the flow of your wedding ceremony.
