Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. The Ruins at Sassafras Museum is the home of the former Shaker Second Family settlement, one of five Shaker settlements in The Mount Lebanon Shaker Village in New Lebanon, New York. We provide access to the Barn for the reception, the garden for the ceremony, the birch grove for the cocktail hour and dressing areas in the Pruyn House and the Verdoy Schoolhouse. Tables and chairs are included. All else must be provided through rental services and catering. We have one security person who will be on site throughout your event. All else provided by caterer or rental service.

Built in the late 1800’s as a shirt factory, the building still maintains much of it’s industrial vibe with original masonry walls and lofty ceilings complemented by elegant touches in the ballroom, floor to ceiling windows and a rooftop space that provides one-of-a-kind skyline views of the Hudson River, the perfect backdrop for your event!
