Our historic 19th-century barn has been meticulously renovated and restored to its original glory… with a few added bells and whistles. We offer air-conditioning, heating, and a 4-foot disco ball, among other modern amenities. The property is a hidden gem set amidst 34 acres of breathtaking grounds with open meadows, forests, winding nature trails, and gardens, offering an idyllic backdrop for events of up to 200 guests. We specialize in creating unforgettable celebrations filled with heart. Work with our catering team or bring in your own-- we allow you to customize every detail of your day! Overnight accommodations for 8-10 are included in our premium long-weekend packages, along with a suite of amenities for a resort-style feel.

Best Weekend of our Lives!
When our original venue cancelled on us 4 months before our big day, we did not ever think we would find a new venue -let alone one we loved. But fate worked its magic and led us to Black Walnut Farm, where Sarah & Jim made all of our dreams come true. Their commitment to each couple paired with the incredible venue and all of its perks made this venue the perfect place for my wife and I to tie the knot. I feel so incredibly grateful to have found BWF, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful barn wedding. I can't say thank you enough!
AMAZING Space!!!
Black Walnut Farm saved our wedding! Our previous venue cancelled on us with very little notice so we took a chance on a new venue and we did NOT regret it. Black Walnut is such a gorgeous and unique space. We used the woods for our ceremony site and got endless complements about the stunning greenery. The barn is such a beautiful and eclectic space which perfectly matched our vibe. The house had lovely and homey accommodations for the wedding party, complete with a hot tub! Many people we spoke to told us that ours was one of the coolest weddings they’ve ever been to, and I believe that to be largely due to Black Walnut. Sarah and Jim were there for us during the whole process and had excellent communication about everything. We never felt like “just another client” to them. This is the perfect venue for people looking for a fun, outdoors, unique and beautiful weekend.

Sarah and Jim were a dream to work with. Communication leading up to the wedding was open, clear, and prompt. Coordination among vendors was also very easy. On the day of our wedding, things just got done behind the scenes that we weren't even aware of, freeing us up to relax and enjoy. The venue was also stunning. Guests were in awe. A Fairytale Wedding Beyond Our Wildest Dreams!
Our wedding at Black Walnut Farm was nothing short of magical and truly felt like it was built to host our special day. From the moment we set foot on the grounds, we were enchanted by the charming vintage touches, luxurious feel, and unique rustic beauty that surrounded us. The beautifully restored barn, set amidst the woods, provided the perfect backdrop for our rustic chic fairytale wedding. Sarah, Jim, and the team at Black Walnut Farm went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our day was perfect. From the initial meeting where we discussed our vision for the wedding, to the day of the event itself, they truly exceeded our expectations. The venue's unique offerings, such as the green retro Ford truck and cool photo lounge, added an extra touch of charm and personality to our day. They even included lawn games, an amazing bonfire/firepit (and smore's!), fresh popcorn, and an audio guestbook housed in a vintage phone booth. One of my favorite touches was a beautiful oversized mirror also which doubled as our welcome sign! The farm house, where we got ready, was the perfect spot for us to prepare for the day ahead, with its quaint and unique beauty. Further, as grand as the venue was, there was something so personal and special about this setting for this meetings of our lives and families. Sarah's warmth and care were evident throughout the entire planning process, and Jim's creativity and hard work made the magic happen. Through all the stresses of wedding planning, we felt that we had real partner in this venue and its stewards. We are forever grateful that they decided to start this venue together. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the venue, and our photographer even remarked on how it was "not just another ballroom venue." We said our I do's at the meadow ceremony site with a beautiful line of trees in the background, and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Sarah and Jim, for making our wedding day beyond our wildest dreams. Your passion, dedication, and creativity made our day unforgettable. We are forever grateful for the memories we created at Black Walnut Farm.
