Our historic 19th-century barn has been meticulously renovated and restored to its original glory… with a few added bells and whistles. We offer air-conditioning, heating, and a 4-foot disco ball, among other modern amenities. The property is a hidden gem set amidst 34 acres of breathtaking grounds with open meadows, forests, winding nature trails, and gardens, offering an idyllic backdrop for events of up to 200 guests. We specialize in creating unforgettable celebrations filled with heart. Work with our catering team or bring in your own-- we allow you to customize every detail of your day! Overnight accommodations for 8-10 are included in our premium long-weekend packages, along with a suite of amenities for a resort-style feel.

The Barn

An Authentic 1891 Barn, Restored with Modern Amenities.

The barn offers an intimate environment, accommodating dinner seating for 80 (with multiple options on the grounds to place tents for larger group dinners), and standing room for up to 175 guests for dancing and cocktails. The mezzanine-level hayloft has been converted to a cozy lounge with a vintage cigar-bar vibe: leather club seating, Persian rugs, a gallery wall and photo booth make this hidden speakeasy-style nook a fun surprise for your event!

    Having our wedding at Black Walnut Farm with Sarah & Jim was the best decision we made. We wanted our event to feel like we were having it in our own backyard - if our backyard had sprawling fields and a gorgeous, 19-century barn! It ended up being just that, guests felt so comfortable and at-home at the space. Not to mention how magical the back woods are for the ceremony! The venue was so rich in history and you could feel it being there. Sarah & Jim personalize the experience so much so you really know that your day is yours - and yours alone! They made our wedding and the experience planning it so meaningful to us, and we couldn't thank them enough.

    Black Walnut Farm is an unbelievable venue that far exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Beyond the incredible property, the owners are excellent to work with from your first tour to even after your event. To start, the barn and the surrounding grounds look incredible and are so beautifully manicured. So many of our guests complimented the venue. The staff also blended very seamlessly with our caterer. We used Bridge Creek Catering, who were unbelievably on top of it, and between the venue and the caterers there wasn’t a single hiccup. Sarah’s day-of coordination definitely tied everything together and gave us a ton of confidence that event would run smoothly. We rented a tent for our reception and had it placed on the main lawn. The scene behind us, wild grass and a line of trees, is absolutely stunning in our photos. And the ceremony space in the woods is honestly magical. The farmhouse on the property, where the wedding party can stay for the duration of their weekend, is so comfortable and classic. The MASSIVE fireplace in the parlor is so amazing. And who doesn’t love a hot tub? We can’t say enough good things about Black Walnut.

    We had our wedding at Black Walnut Farm and it was the perfect venue for us. There are so many distinct beautiful spaces that you can really make it your own. The team is communicative and went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly. We had an amazing time and our guests commented on how beautiful and unique the space was. Would highly recommend!!

    We recently held our welcome party and wedding day at the Black Walnut Farm and I can honestly say it was the most perfect weekend. From the offset, Sarah and her team helped us deliver what we envisioned and make us feel so relaxed about our event. The venue is beautiful and my wife and I & all our guests will remember our time there forever. We stayed in the wonderful airbnb on site which added to the enjoyment of the weekend. We love the black walnut farm and highly recommend hosting your wedding here.
