Where are you located?

100 miles north of New York City, near Woodstock New York and in the middle of the Catskill State Park. The property is surrounded by 200 acres of protected forest.

How long is the Onteora wedding season?

Onteora hosts weddings throughout the year. Our most popular months are April through October, with the majority of weddings on Saturdays and Sundays.

What size weddings can Onteora accommodate?

We can comfortably fit up to 180 guests. Larger events can be accommodated under certain parameters. Please inquire for details.

Where do the rest of our guests to stay?

There are a variety of lodges, motels, and bed and breakfasts available within a 30 minute drive.

What kind of packages do you offer?

Our trademark offering is the "weekend wedding." The couple has the Onteora exclusively from Friday afternoon until Sunday at 11am. This includes a Friday rehearsal and two breakfasts for house guests. The wedding event lasts six hours on Saturday. We offer a range of add-ons throughout your stay. Our second offering is a single day event that includes the six hour wedding and one breakfast the next day.

What is included?

Food: appetizers, a served salad course, buffet or waiter served dinner, coffee and teas, and the wedding cake.It is possible to add on additional appetizers, extra desserts, etc. Open Bar: Service from the end of the wedding until the end of the party. 4 house wines, a variety of beers, top shelf liquor, and a champagne toast. Equipment: tables, chairs, tableware, 40 colors of linen, golf cart service.

Is it possible to host other meals during the weekend?

There are two popular add-ons: an expanded rehearsal dinner on Friday night, and/or brunch the morning after the wedding.

Do you offer special menus?

We are open to discussing any culinary wants or needs. While there may be some limitations, we have worked with other culturally specific caterers in the past. Unfortunately we do not have kosher facilities.

How many guests can stay at Onteora?

There are seven guest rooms, accommodating seven couples, with space for a few children on convertible couches. The maximum count is 18.

Are we required to take the guest rooms?

Accepted Answer

For the best wedding experience we feel it's important that you wake up here Saturday morning and Sunday morning. We don't do "Hit and Run" weddings.

Do you accept dogs/cats/parrots?
