I was raised in small-town Virginia, but I’ve always had a love for the city life. I’m known for my spunk, wild curls and my endless obsession with all things nostalgic and iconic. The Space Downtown was created in late 2010 by owners of chefs Tim Burgess and Vincent Derquenne. The two have been partners since 1991, creating their first restaurant Metropolitain which operated in the same location as Space. It closed in 2003 and the chef pair sold the restaurant but remained owners of the building. In early 2010, the location became vacant and the two decided to open for private parties only. In addition to the Space Downtown, the pair operate Bizou and Bang restaurants, all three close in vicinity to one another.

I have founded 3 non-profit arts organizations: Live Arts Theater, Light House Studio, and LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph.

As soon as the music began playing and the bride walked through the doors to come down the aisle, the groom immediately was hit with tears (the type that every bride hopes for). I saw from the corner of my eye that his mom turned around and instead of watching the bride walk down the aisle like everyone else, she watched her son’s reaction in tears. This is why I fell in love with being a wedding photographer.
