It’s about real moments, laughter, happy tears, and the quiet in between times that make the day truly yours. I take a documentary style approach to capture those moments as they happen, so you don’t feel like your day is just a checklist. I step in when needed, like for family formals, but mostly focus on letting you enjoy your day while those candid moments unfold naturally.
Your wedding is unique, so I make sure your photos reflect who you are and what matters most, not just a checklist to be completed. I work closely with you before and during the day to understand your vision, priorities, and personality. This way, your photos become a timeless, heartfelt collection that feels genuine and honest, capturing the spirit of your wedding day for you to relive again and again.

I. AM. SPEECHLESS!!!
I don’t even know where to start, Emie is unreal. From the moment she showed up, she brought the calmest, happiest energy and somehow made the entire day feel effortless. She captured every single emotion; the joy, the tears, the belly laughs and turned it all into pure art. Our photos are beyond anything we could’ve imagined. They feel alive, like we’re right back in those moments every time we look at them. I’ve been obsessing over them nonstop, they’re that good. Emie, you’re a magician. We love you and can’t thank you enough for giving us the most beautiful memories to hold onto forever.

Incredible team!
Emie and Michael were a true blessing and a blast to work with. Their attention to detail is impeccable. Their attitudes are personalities are phenomenal. I loved working with both of them for my wedding. I would 100% recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for professional photos. We spent 8 hours with them but the time flew by and they made the night so much more memorable. And to top it off, they had sneak peek photos ready for us before 24 hours! Incredible! We couldn't have done the day without either of them and many of my guests complimented how Incredible they were!

Authentic photos animal/nature captured
Emie such a joy to work with and I am so incredibly grateful to her for capturing our wedding authentically and with our goals and priorities in mind. We had a really specific vision of what we wanted our wedding to feel to like and she did a beautiful job capturing that. I was blown away by some of the images she captured. Not only were they stunning, it was evident she understood our vision and emphasized it. I really appreciated that she was so willing to traipse thru the forest on a hike with us mid day and that she made sure photograph everything we wanted but also things I didn’t even think to request. I also really appreciated that she captured true colors/ hues and really listened to what I liked/didn’t like stylistically. I also want to note that she has a lot of experience with animal photography and capturing images of my dogs was very important to me. Since my wedding, one of my dogs has passed away and I am so grateful to have such beautiful high quality images of him from our wedding . she was flexible with adjusting the contract to suit our specific needs and desires, and was really flexible day of with various last minute changes

We used Emie for our engagement and wedding photos. She did an amazing job with organizing photos for our huge family as well as making sure our photos turned out amazing even though it rained on our wedding day. Emie rocks!!
Emie and her assistant Michael were fantastic! From our first meeting with Emie, she made sure that our wishes were heard and made sure that it was something she could capture. Through the planning process, she reassured us and continuously instilled confidence in us. On the day of our wedding, her and Michael were early and comforting. They did getting ready photos, our first look, bridal party photos, and family photos per our shot list. They were so knowledgable and paid great attention to the lighting and backdrop, having us change angles a few times to account for it. She coached us through poses and, most importantly, what to do with our hands. During the ceremony and reception, they both were able to capture shots that we had no idea they were even in position for! They also brought disposable cameras to the event for our guests to take candids throughout the night and we’re super excited to see how those turn out! Additionally, they were very professional in handling relatives who wanted to take pictures on their own equipment throughout the day. They were so fun to work with, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer in the Albemarle area!
