Virginia wedding photographer with a serious obsession with Netflix, true crime podcasts and YA fantasy novels. Telling the stories of two best friends in love with laughter, joy, and some really awesome dance parties.
I've been told I'm a personal hype squad - always keeping things light and joyful while creating a fun, calm, and carefree environment for any event or session. I'm a big believer that you should spend as much time enjoying the moments of your day and interacting with your friends and family as much as possible. I aim to work quickly and get you to the party as fast as I can, while still capturing the true feeling of your wedding day from start to finish!

Joyful and professional!
We love Sara and we will shout her praises from the rooftops/any other tall structure we happen to come across. For a wedding/engagement photographer, you will find no better choice. She will capture every moment of your event with a careful eye and a caring heart (I cried when we received our final photo set, both the formal photos and the candid shots were perfect!). Her shot composition is immaculate and her professionalism is impeccable; you can trust her implicitly. She also kept everything running smoothly (including gracefully accommodating some of our family members who had some last minute photography requests). Most importantly, she is an absolute joy to work with. She also will go above and beyond for her couples to capture their dreams in photograph-form. What she did for our engagement shoot is particularly emblematic of this/how amazing she is. My now-husband and I had been hoping to incorporate cherry blossoms into our engagement photos (given we had gotten engaged in Japan during their cherry blossom season and currently live in Washington DC, also known for its cherry blossoms), but given the myriads of logistical challenges this posed, we had been ready to accept that it wasn’t in the cards. Sara came through for us and, through considerable effort on her part, found us a perfect cherry blossom spot in full bloom tucked away in Virginia. We had it all to ourselves and our engagement photoshoot was an experience we will treasure always (Sara made it feel so special yet so relaxed and we cannot thank her enough for that amazing day). She brought that same care and joy to our wedding day and her pictures captured it all beautifully. In summary, we cannot recommend Sara highly enough. She will capture every shot of your wedding/engagement perfectly and she will capture your heart as well.
Amazing Photographer!
My business was in need of professional headshots and Sara did an amazing job! Her pricing is fair, she communicates in a timely manner, and she has a nice studio perfect for the photos I wanted. Not only did she take individual headshots, but she also took group shots of my team. Despite some of my employees being camera shy, Sara knew just how to get them out of their shell and direct them into taking the photos. I am very impressed by how Sara conducts her business and recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer!

My husband and I loved working with Sara! She has the best vibe and personality and is so creative and talented. She worked so hard to deliver us phenomenal photos and capture the essence of who we are as a couple. There were so many pictures that we loved and now have hanging in our home, and all of our friends and guests have been so impressed with her work. We are so lucky that our wedding planner recommended her to us; she was such an integral member of our vendor team and one that we hope to continue to use in the future as well. If I could give Sara ten stars, I would, she is that amazing! She was so flexible and easy to work with, I couldn’t be happier with how everything worked out!

Sara photographed our October 2023 wedding, as well as our engagement photos in fall of 2022. She came highly recommended to us by our wedding planner, and did not disappoint! She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with! She delivered our photos for both engagement and wedding far faster than her contract dictated she needed to. She was a big help on our wedding day wrangling our families, ensuring all our requested photos were taken in time, and going above and beyond in doing things like bustling my wedding dress. More than anything, she is FUN! We had never been professionally photographed before and she made being in front of the camera easy. We love our photos and will cherish them for years to come. Run, don't walk, to work with Sara!
