If you're thinking "is this worth it?" or "do I really need a planner?" or even, "I can do this all myself." ...you maaaybe can, but if you want your day to be utterly spectacular - hire Allie. I can't stress enough the importance of hiring someone like her. Our entire day was magic because of her and her CityLux team. We started out our journey with a clear goal, but it all felt a bit daunting. Allie was with us from start to finish (top to bottom planning and day-of!) and made every step along the way incredible. She was prompt, professional, honest, and kind. It's hard to find vendors that are as "on their game." There were times that we were completely at a loss for what was next and she always communicated with clarity so we felt comfortable and prepared to make decisions. There were sooooo many details only she could have thought of. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are 3 more things Allie was thinking of. I constantly said, "oh wow.. I didnt even think of that." Like coordinating bus routes and timing that out... no thank you! We felt like it was all under control because of her meticulous documentation, flawless communication with our other vendors, and emergency plans she put in motion behind the scenes. MOST importantly, she makes sure you can focus on your day and nothing else. From the napkins, to the placecards, to our grass wall, to our place settings, to the drink signs, and everything else in between, it was all so complete and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Not to mention, she professionally vetoed some of our ideas, and finding someone who knows what's realistic and what's not is hard to find. I've recommended her to ALL my friends and every time I get rave reviews. Don't go it alone throughout this process. Go with Allie and go with CityLux! “How can I even put into words how absolutely incredible Kay and her team are?! My wife and I booked a power planning session with Kay in December 2020, shortly after getting engaged. From just that two hour meeting, we learned more about our budget, priorities, and expectations than we had from years of dreaming of our wedding. “My husband and I hired Madison as our day of coordinator. We did not hire a florist and ended up doing a lot of DIY projects for our wedding decor. We really wanted a professional to help us with setup and take-down of decor on the wedding day, so as not to burden our family/friends and take them away from the event to help. Madison was so friendly in the months leading up to the wedding and offered us lots of helpful advice on things we didn't even think to prepare for, like arranging seating charts and timing of processional songs. Our original venue coordinator ended up having to move away just a couple weeks before our wedding day, and Madison took the lead in syncing with the new venue coordinator on all the things we'd talked about. This really helped us out and took a load off our plate in those last few weeks before the wedding! The day of, she came early to the venue and, like a fairy godmother, had incorporated all of our decorations beautifully before we even arrived, so we were able to take lots of photos beforehand! Throughout the event, she cleverly found ways to repurpose some of our decor items to give them a second life, like setting reception flower arrangements along the room's bookshelves to dress them up for the ceremony, making a beautiful display with our ceremony roses and boutonnieres on our memory table, and using me and my bridesmaids' bouquets to create a beautiful sweetheart table arrangement! We were so incredibly thrilled with how well Madison and her team were able to follow our vision and exceed our expectations. A final sweet memory I have from near the end of the night - my hair was getting very tangled with my dress buttons on my back from dancing, and I was overheating and sweaty. Madison and her team arranged my hair into a beautiful low bun style so I could go back and have fun dancing again without worrying about it tangling further or looking bad. :) I'm so thankful we hired Madison as our day of coordinator, and we can't recommend her enough!!”

“My friends and family know that I am a perfectionist and can't relax unless things are running smoothly. From our initial phone call with Sarah, I knew that she was the perfect person to bring our dream wedding weekend to life. Her goal was to know our vision, understand our style, and execute so that we could enjoy the night and not have to think about anything the day of. It's safe to say that was a success - I was the most "chill bride" all weekend long and that was entirely because of the care and detail that Sarah put into every second of our weekend. We brought Sarah on towards the end of our planning process (3 months before the wedding), and although everything was perfect, I wish we started working together sooner. Sarah is calm, organized, SO easy to talk to, and allowed us to be ourselves throughout the planning process. Her expertise guided us the whole way while still ensuring that every detail was unique to us. She worked to build a package around what we needed the most support with to ensure that we had no gaps in our prep/day of planning and coordination. Being that we found most of our own vendors before hiring Sarah, she was the perfect person to pull them all together with her collaborative personality, stress-free nature and smile! Sarah attended floral meetings, tastings, final prep calls with each vendor and answered every email, text and phone call filled with countless questions. We had a master timeline and checklist to make sure we stayed on top of everything from final vendor payments to "purchase hangers for bridesmaid pajamas." Fast forward to the wedding weekend... Sarah coordinated all of our venue / rehearsal dinner / hotel item drop offs and made sure that all of the buses ran smoothly. She planned every minute of the wedding day, and the schedule ran like clockwork, while Sarah and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes. They were exactly where they needed to be at EVERY twist and turn - it was so impressive and all due to Sarah's organizational skills and incredible communication with her team. Sarah even did a full item by item inventory check at my parents house for the pre-wedding pick up (and post-wedding drop off). Anything that did not go according to plan, Sarah confidently took charge, found a solution, and then let me know about it (just for awareness - not for us to take any action). For example, there was a miscommunication with the florals in my bouquet - Sarah knew immediately that this was not what I wanted and before I could even get out the words, she calmly said "I know this is not what you asked for, but don't worry at all. This is an easy fix and I will work with the florist to make it right!" Because of Sarah I was truly a stress free bride and we had the BEST TIME at our own wedding. No wedding is too big or too small and no idea is too unrealistic for Sarah to bring to life. We miss the planning process mostly because we don't have an excuse to talk to Sarah multiple times each week. Sarah truly became like family to us and we can't recommend her enough!!”

“My only regret was having Steph as my “day of” coordinator - we should have hired her to help plan our whole wedding. Even though we hired her for our wedding day only, she started having calls with us around a month prior and began organizing day-of logistics with all of our vendors. We had planned a weekend at camp for 200 people, and Steph stayed the whole weekend to make sure everything went smoothly. She even carried over 100 pints of cider to a freezer in a cellar with me when I realized that they couldn’t sit in guests’ cabins at room temperature! Beyond her coordination help, Steph is a super kind and fun person to have at your wedding. We had a bonfire until around 2am on our wedding night and Steph was out there with us, celebrating and making sure we were having fun. “Booking Cassie to be my wedding coordinator three months out to my wedding day was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! I really thought I did not want or need a planner/coordinator, but having Cassie there really allowed me to enjoy my wedding. Cassie was diligent, organized, responsive, and patient. Cassie was so on top of every detail and knew all my vendors’ contracts inside and out! I had done lots of research online to make sure I knew every detail going into the wedding planning process, but there were some things I would not have known and Cassie was able to guide me through. For example, one of my vendors insisted an additional hour of rental time needed to be added to the wedding day (that would have cost me hundreds of dollars) and Cassie advocated for me, citing their contract, that it was not necessary. Cassie was also available to help make decisions regarding decor, helping me decide on pieces that best suited and enhanced the venue. I explained my vision of romantic candles everywhere throughout the event. Cassie and I worked together to shape where everything would go to create the seamless look. Cassie (and her assistant Cammie) made everything look stunning on the wedding day - and expertly packed up everything at the end of the night for us. I thought I could have my sister or family friend be in charge of so many of these tasks, but it was *so nice* delegating this out to a professional so that everyone could enjoy the day. We spoke with a number of different planners who's services included providing access to some general software and template checklists. Unlike other options, Kelly Elizabeth Events look the time to understand how you envisioned your day, what support you wanted vs. needed, and identified & swiftly actioned areas that needed to be addressed. We received a personalized, detailed checklist and agenda every time we met with Ashley. Ashley was an all-star, planning angel. During the planning sessions, she was understanding of my husband and my tight working schedules. Ashley navigated the challenges of us living and planning from another state. She pushed progress in areas that we couldn't, while finding ways for our decisions and preferences to be layered in. One example of the efficiency and thoughtfulness of Ashley - since my husband and I don't live in Boston, we needed to leverage holiday weekends or even work trips nearby to fit in a stop in Boston. We needed to fit a venue walkthrough, cake tasting, and rental appointment in one week. Recognizing three separate appointments would be near impossible for us, Ashley picked up rental samples for us to view during our venue walkthrough, went out of her way to drop off the samples, and facilitated a thorough venue walkthrough with our catering team and venue director. On top of all that, Ashley managed to bring us our cake tasting samples so we could have a remote cake tasting. Without Ashley, we would've needed to take work days off or come back another weekend. “It is hard to put into words the tremendous gratitude I feel for Christina and her team with Lovelace Designs. We had our wedding at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA – a non-conventional space that very rarely holds weddings. As time went on, I developed a profound appreciation for both her fabulous taste and her special ability to help me take simple ideas and create a seamless theme and elegant design. She was so wonderful to work with, my grandmother hired her to assist with my bridal shower and my mother-in-law also hired her to coordinate the 170-person rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding! “Carin saved my sanity during my wedding with 150 guests of all ages at Connecticut College in summer 2023. I was a DIY bride with a ton of vendors to wrangle the weekend of at a relatively hands-off venue that was quite spread out, and Carin was on top of all of it. Even my comical amount of DIY'd florals that had to be placed right before the reception! She handled all the deliveries, set-up, break-down, and details so that I could focus on just celebrating the day! My vendors loved her too and everyone commented on her professionalism and 'can do' manner which allowed her to tackle obstacles with ease. Our venue's elevator was broken day-of without warning, and Carin dealt with it without involving us at all! Her partner, Jacob, was also our DJ and he kept the party jumping, while still catering to our extended family from all over. I cannot recommend Carin's services highly enough and am SO FREAKING GLAD that she was there to make my whole wedding weekend feel like a dream. She also always made me and my spouse feel like the most important people and consistently lowered our stress and anxiety about throwing such a big party. She even handled tipping our vendors with cash night-of which went above and beyond! No task was too small or too big for Carin, and while I hope to never get married again, I'd definitely hire her for any future events!”

“As someone who had an unfortunate experience with a wedding planner scamming me (aka I paid her a deposit and she ghosted me), believe me when I say Breanna is the real deal. I signed her for partial planning services and she did not disappoint. For context, I had no idea what I was doing. I had never attended a wedding and my parents are immigrants who didn’t have the whole American wedding experience, so they had even less of a clue of how it works. I knew I’d miss crucial details and needed someone along the way as I was planning all by myself. Breanna came up with timelines, emailed vendors for me, checked in frequently, and gave me solid guidance whenever I needed advice. I think where she really shined was the day of. So if you’re considering it, at the very least sign her to be your day-of coordinator. I’m an extremely organized person, but on the wedding day I didn’t want to be running around. She was extremely professional and responsible throughout the whole day. Breanna was always one step ahead. I arrived at the church, she was already there waiting having organized the wedding party to walk down the aisle. Bus pulled up at the venue, Breanna was already there clipboard in hand. Reception started, Breanna was already next to me asking about my thoughts on the food and how things were going. Another thing — before I said it, she already did it. For example, I was worried my welcome sign didn’t get set up so I asked her. She pointed at the sign. She had already set it up. I was worried about vendors knowing about a change of location. Breanna had already updated every single one of them via email days ago. I was worried about whether I signed the right vendors. Breanna vetted every single one. And they all nailed it on the day of. Like I cried tears of joy for over my photographer and florist and how phenomenal they were. Hear me out. I’ll be the first to admit I have trust issues and I am the person who is very much like “I’d rather do it myself because I know it will get done and get done well. So I’ll just do it.” But girly pop, you can’t do it all. And you shouldn’t have to. Enjoy this moment. Breanna is the planner you can trust. Believe her when she says she’ll do it. Know she will do well. For the first time, I could close my eyes, take a deep breath, and know I had nothing to worry about.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Amy Melody, our wedding month-of-coordinator! From the moment we met her, Amy impressed us with her professionalism and enthusiastic demeanor. During our virtual calls, Amy took the time to listen to all of our preferences, needs, and concerns during the planning process. When an unexpected torrential downpour began, Amy and her assistant remained remarkably calm and upbeat. Although we were in an open-air pavilion, Amy and her assistant handled the situation with grace and helped all of our vendors stay on schedule and remain dry. Amy had a bag of supplies a la Mary Poppins with zip ties, table weights, towels, umbrellas, and all of the other items that we could never have thought to bring, but made an incredible difference in the outcome of the day. During the night, Amy made sure the event ran smoothly. She seamlessly organized a buffet line, coordinated with our MC to make sure the speeches were on time, and ensured that the gifts and cards were secured before the end of the night. Amy was also accommodating to our families, ensuring that they were comfortable and had everything they needed. Thanks to Amy's dedication and expertise, our wedding day was absolutely magical. We are so grateful for her hard work and would highly recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking to hire a wedding coordinator!”

We got married in October 2023 and were completely in over our heads with the planning process with no idea what to do after selecting a venue.
