Sayen House & Gardens, located in historic Hamilton Square, NJ, was established in 1912 by Frederick Sayen, a passionate world traveler and gardener. He built a charming bungalow and surrounded it with exotic plants from China, Japan, and England—many of which still thrive today. The gardens boast over 1,000 azaleas, nearly 500 rhododendrons, and more than 250,000 spring bulbs that create a stunning seasonal display. Historic Poole Forge is a 26-acre site with a preserved historic Ironmaster’s mansion, children’s playground, picnic pavilion, ball field, Nature Trail, Riparian Buffers, wildflower meadows, many beautiful gardens and a covered bridge along the Conestoga River in Eastern Lancaster County. We currently host a wide range of free public events, recreational and educational experiences. We restored our 1770’s Ironmaster’s mansion that serves as a heritage/community center and also a venue for private and public celebrations. Bell Gate Farm is the perfect backdrop for any kind of event. I have one rule, however, there will never be more than one event per day. I firmly believe that you cannot concentrate and give supreme customer service when there are multiple activities going on the same day. When you rent Bell Gate, you are getting every nook and cranny, and that allows us to play a little bit. We can have a cocktail hour at the pool, but move dinner to the barn, and it feels like you’ve changed venue’s completely.
