The Wagner House, located in the historic Wagner Print Building, is a three-story industrial warehouse in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The building was built in 1903 and was one of the first buildings that had electricity in Freeport. Established in 1853 and incorporated on March 9, 1912, the Wagner Building was home to the German-born Wagner Family who, like Freeport, has a long and interesting history. The Wagner House also served as an industrial manufacturing spot for textiles and fashion. For four generations, the business did not change hands, and the present Wagner company pledged to continue their record of quality printing and letterpress and are still in business today. In 2013, The Wagner building was sold to Bill Green to redevelop and re-imagine it, creating a wine bar, business incubator, and beautiful event space.

We got married at the Wagner House in September of 2021. We had a short window, only 3 months to plan, but everything went off without a hitch. The best part was their accommodation of live music instead of a dj. The venue has house sound and lights so that saved us a ton of money. We had six musicians throughout the night and a full band. It was a blast!

The wedding coordinator, Amanda, went above & beyond to make sure every detail was accounted for! ️️️️️

I aboslotely loved working the Pavilion! Everyone there including Lexie, Stacie, Jill, and Nikki (and every staff member who worked our wedding) was amazing to work with. They're always very quick to respond to any questions I had and were a great support during the planning process. The food was amazing, our guests have continued to talk about the food and how good it was (and it is SO good). There are so many areas to on-site to take pictures, the opportunities are endless. We had an indoor ceremony and the transition from ceremony to reception was so smooth, you don't even realize what's going on. It is truly a beautiful venue from the floor to ceiling fireplace, the floor to ceiling windows, the property itself, and the all the staff - you can't go wrong here!!

We had an amazing experience with Mercantile Hall and are so happy we decided to have our wedding here! The venue itself is stunning and has so much character. We loved that it was indoor/outdoor and the new upstairs bridal suite was perfect for getting ready. The price-point is very fair and we loved the a la carte nature of the pricing and add-ons because you can really build out the wedding that makes the most sense for you. The staff was caring, thoughtful, attentive, and helpful at every step of the planning process. We decided to take advantage of their Coordinator package, which made everything so easy. Racheal did an amazing job helping us to bring our vision to life and answered every little question and email quickly and thoroughly. The Merc Team did all of the set up and tear down for us, so we got to just show up and enjoy the entirety of our day. They gave us super helpful tools to plan on what needed to be done and when. They sent reminders throughout the process. We also took advantage of their assigned in-house DJ, which felt like a gamble at first, but they took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel comfortable with the process. Finally, we loved that all of our vendors knew each other and were able to refer each other making us trust our team wholeheartedly. We had our dream wedding and would 100% recommend booking your wedding at the Mercantile Hall!

We loved our beautiful fall wedding at iron works. We lived out of state (but I'm originally from the area) and the team worked with us long distance via email and phone to get the details together for the event. After shopping around I soon realized this was the BEST spot to have a wedding in the stateline area that is connected to a hotel. There's nothing classy in Rockford, it's all run down and gross but Iron works was classy and had the right vibe and price wasn't over the top (It was still expensive but palatable). I will menton we had our actual ceremony at Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford which was amazing but Iron Works was thee place for the reception. The place is industrial but has sexy vibes with the leather and strong iron beams with a nod to the city's past. The event space was beautiful and still looks new and clean and great shape. Love the details in the decor, It was a great canvas to work with. The view from the river was lovely and loved having the outdoor space to hang out in too, especially for those who smoked. The food was wonderful. Was a little worried about the steak, the first initial tasting was decent but thinking about serving steak for such a big crowd we were skeptical it would turn out but everyone's steak was edible and warm, just cooked perfectly, it is a steak house after all. We were glad we upgraded to the filet too. We were super happy with the appetizers and main course and everything was yummy. The servers were on it. Maybe too on it, I would set my drink down and it would disappear. But overall very pleased with our experience. Everyone we worked with was polite and nice from the servers to the managers in charge, we were treated with kindness and respect. I did fly out to come view it in person just to see how they would treat me and they passed the test.. Would have been nice to know about The booking situation with blocking off rooms that another wedding venue reserved rooms so then some of our party had to go to an air Bnb instead of everyone staying there, which was the whole point of doing it there so people didn't have to drive after the reception. Also wish we could have danced later than midnight but it was in our contract to end the night at midnight. Other than that very happy our experience. It was a beautiful wedding, it went by so fast but it was an unforgettable evening. Thanks for everything.

When my husband & I first walked into the Brix over two years, we were immediately taken aback by its beauty. We met with the owners, Rob & Tone and they were so kind and easy to talk to. We loved everything we heard from them about their venue and their approach (“your life, your style). We loved that this venue would allowed us to personalize everything from the food, drinks, music & decor. They gave amazing vendor recommendations (True Cusine, DJuJ, 11th hour bartending, prestige liquors and Mortar Designs). The whole staff was incredible (including Robbie, Erin & Ji Hee). If anything did go wrong that day, we didn’t know about it. We could not be more happy with our decision to get married at The Brix (Industria)! Thank you for your help in making our day so special!

Arrowhead has been fabulous start to finish. We were supposed to hold our original wedding on 7/4/20 on site with the reception to follow. When quarantine didn’t lift, Alexa did a great job with helping us come up with a “plan b” in advance so that we could let our vendors know. When we had to postpone our original plans, Alexa made it so stress free and was incredibly kind with picking it all up and moving to Summer 2021. We still wanted to legally marry and Alexa graciously helped us have a little micro ceremony with just immediate family. She was so thoughtful about helping us make it work and even came up with a backup plan in case the weather was bad. We could not be more appreciative of her work to make our marriage special this year and are looking forward to the best 1st anniversary party next year! Arrowhead’s staff pays such attention to detail and prides itself on customer service. You would not be disappointed in celebrating any occasion with them.

From the moment we walked into the venue, we fell in love with everything they had to offer. The venue itself is beautiful!!!! It’s exactly the type of place I was looking for, plus so much more. We didn’t need to decorate much because the place itself is stunning. It’s brand new with a lot of beautiful art and stable decor. We had a smaller wedding, incorporating a lot of Mexican traditions for our reception and Millburn Stables was the perfect place for us to do so. Our guests loved it! We had so many compliments about the venue, the food and just the whole vibes. Terry and Robin were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. Terry assisted us with catering and transportation recommendations. The venue has different catering and beverage packages - which we loved! We asked for a few upgrades and changes the week of and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were so easy to work with. We always recommend this venue to all of the couples that we know! We want to attend as wedding guests because the experience here is just beautiful - from cocktail hour all the way to the end of the night. A lot of our guests traveled from South Chicago and they were able to get to this location easily! There’s ample parking on site which was another issue we were running into while searching for a venue. In terms of pricing: we looked at over 20 venues. Millburn includes almost everything for a very fair price. The only thing we had to worry about was the photographer and DJ. We went with Maravelas catering and the food was AMAZING. Everything about our entire wedding (the planning and day of) was amazing. Thank you Millburn stables, Terry and Robin!

The professionalism was like non other! They made sure my wedding was absolutely perfect! I got married on the hottest day of the year with a heat index of 119 F and the tent kept all of my guests cool! Emma did an outstanding job and her communication was stellar! Pete offered rides for guests on his golf cart throughout the wedding to make sure people did not have to walk far! I knew from the moment I took a tour here that I just had to have my wedding here! They offer many decorations that you can add to with your own hint of color to make your night beautiful! I needed to change my date unexpectedly and they were able to accommodate without any issues! I heard they were planning on making more improvements on years to come with an addition of a new barn and that is just so exciting for all the future brides! How can you make improvements on something that was already so perfect! All brides should save their time and visit this venue first because I know you will just fall in love with it! I think I am one of the very few brides that can say nothing went wrong on my special day and it was all due to the help of Emma, Pete, and the Northfork staff! P.s. I was looking over from previous reviews and brides have full capability of choosing their own DJ and food vendor, but Northfork offers a nice list of PREFERRED vendors that work well to help with the search! I chose all my vendors (Uncle Bubs and DJUj) from their list and my night could not have been more perfect!

The barn, which holds 200 people, provides thoughtfully designed spaces that can be customized to suit your needs. The Loft is the most significant space on the barn's second level and has been updated and restored to enhance the gorgeous long wooden beams. This area is equipped with audio-visual hookups and speakers. The spacious kitchen and dining area was the newest addition during the refurbishment, and it includes a catering kitchen and a fireplace, creating a wonderful homely feeling. The attached patio space has direct access to several areas of the barn and is large enough to host an outdoor event all by itself.

Our wedding at Four Winds was perfect. It is a beautiful facility that can host both indoor and outdoor activities seamlessly. Four Winds treated us very well, and it was easy to plan our wedding with them. Four Winds provided tables and chairs, in addition to the beautiful furniture they have inside and on the patio already. It was easy for our vendors to set up food. And the drinks that Jay designed for us were amazing. The day of our wedding, Four Winds helped keep water pitchers full and spaces clean. I've been at several weddings that didn't have refreshed water pitchers or other services, and Four Winds anticipated our needs before we even noticed them. And we've gotten so many compliments on the venue since our wedding!

Let me start with this, one of my friend’s is a retired wedding/event coordinator and she said she’s never seen a team as good as the MBR team in her 20 years. The atrium is a beautiful ceremony location, the ballroom is classy and perfect for a wedding bash, their vendors are excellent, and they are just a well oiled machine. They take great notes throughout the process and check in with you, their software platform makes it easy and I just can’t say enough good things about the day of. I had someone constantly checking in to see if I needed something to drink or food, etc. We went down the street for pics and a coordinator came with us and made sure we had water when we got back. 100/10 rating. Also, so many photo opps near the venue.

The Creamery 201 location is by far one of the most beautiful venues you could choose to get married at in Wisconsin. As a professional photographer, I jump for joy when I get to photograph a wedding at this venue. You can feel the passion they put into every small detail for their couples. The Renwick was the quickest and easiest choice my husband and I made for our wedding. We knew it was a beautiful place and we’d been interested in getting married there since long before we were even engaged but we didn’t know how helpful, warm and accommodating the owners, Sarah and Dane, would be. From the day we toured to our wedding and after, they’ve been amazing. They offer tons of helpful amenities plus different packages/price-points. We went with one of the higher priced packages and it was still totally reasonable. The package we chose allowed us to focus on the things we were excited about like decor while not having to worry about the things we were not excited about like set up and tear down. They also offer pretty much any option you could possibly want as far as bar service goes and you can bring in whatever catering you want! I could ramble on forever - I don’t know why people have events anywhere else!

Rustic Manor was a lovely wedding venue. Our guests loved the spacious grounds, easy parking, large bathrooms, and classy rustic interior. We loved the large bridal and groomsmen suites, the payment process, the venue setting up chairs for ceremony and reception, and the professionalism of staff throughout the planning process. We did not love how expensive it was for the add ons. For a Saturday wedding in “wedding season” we paid almost 10k just for the venue and venue-specific add ons. This included string lights, nice tables, water service at dinner, use of the Photo Booth, etc. The Photo Booth did not include a guest book to put the extra slides (which we had seen at another wedding at this venue), which we didn’t realize until the night of when it was too late. The bar bill (180 guests) was about 6k. Their preferred dinner vendors were expensive and didn’t have many vegetarian options. The least expensive “preferred food vendor” was 20k for 180 guests. We *really* didn’t love that they didn’t have any signs at the bar. We were expected to purchase signs and write out the drink list, hours, and rules of the bar. Our guests did not love that there wasn’t a bartender on scene to get even water or soda prior to the ceremony. During planning, they encouraged stopping open bar during dinner, so our guests had nothing to drink for the toasts. They did not have a sound system going outside, so half of our guests were outdoors and missed all of the announcements. Our wedding was beautiful, but for a venue that “prefers” an event costing 50k, we expected more.

Our experience could not have been better, and though the venue was new, everything ran like a well-oiled machine. BBF provided us with an elegant outdoor setting that was both flexible and affordable. I loved how personable their entire family was. My now husband and I kept saying throughout the whole wedding planning process how lucky we were to find Nippersink. Some examples of how they went above and beyond: buying my favorite flavored water and Malibu to use as a signature drink, allowing us to add on an appetizer a week before the wedding, sending us pictures of all of the available decor to use (they have so many great options available!), giving us the nicest gift day of, being flexible in the rehearsal dinner timing, and allowing us to have our ceremony at the venue with only 4 months notice when our church fell through. Besides their family being the sweetest, they have created such a wonderful space! The new wooden tables and chairs are gorgeous, the hotel was just redone, the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about how much they loved the venue and were told from a guest it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! We truthfully could not have had a better experience and we are so thankful to everyone at Nippersink on the Lake for that! Five stars just isn’t enough!

CityGate's lawn and patio ceremony areas are perfect! Confined to just your family and friends, there will be no worries of having random people walking by during your ceremony - which I personally love as your ceremony needs to be intimate between you, your spouse, and your guests. The actual reception space is gorgeous! Floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the patio coupled with aesthetically-pleasing ceiling lights and bar with all of the fixin's for that perfect cocktail will keep you and your guests more than satisfied throughout your reception. Our banquet room comprises of floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around balcony overlooking the golf course with panoramic views of the grounds also, the outdoor pavilion tent accommodates up to 350 guests. 260 acres of beautifully maintained grounds and clubhouse and can accommodate up to 330 guests for golf outings, meeting or banquets (240 guests for wedding receptions). Experience the breathtaking view of our lake, waterfall and fountain. The restaurant at White Pines is a perfect setting for a business meeting or a relaxed dining occasion with friends or co-workers. Call for a tour!

Overall things were good. There were however a few disappointments that we encountered. First, there wasn't any power at the outdoor wedding venue; they had to run extension cords. Second was that people were allowed into the venue but the bar was not open and appetizers were not ready. Third, the room was very warm from the afternoon sun because the thermostat was in the hallway with a fireplace and the doors were closed. That was corrected by opening the doors but only after a long period of time. Fourth, there not enough appetizers. We as the wedding couple only got 1 of each selection (6 total) between the 2 of us and that was because they brought them to us in the bridal suite. We were told that people were taking them off the server's trays as the servers came out of the kitchen, but it seemed there wasn't enough food or staff because we were told by some guests that they didn't have any appetizers at all. Also, we were told that a guest asked a server for a glass of water, the server told the guest, "It's on the bar". Lastly, we ordered a Caesar Salad but we received an "Essence Salad". The menu's on the guests' plates stated "Essence Salad" but White Pines insisted it was a Caesar Salad...I've never had Caesar Salad with red onion. Aside from what I previously mentioned, the entrees were delicious and we did have a lot of fun. Bernadette was easy to work with and offered a lot of useful suggestions.

I literally could write for an hour or two and still not be able to tell you everything that was so wonderful about working with WSE. They were well organized, available, kind, and definitely make you feel like family. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and photographs very well. We took advantage of the recent upgrades to Alpha and it was a fantastic space; big enough to comfortably accommodate our 150-ish guests, décor, dance floor, buffets, memory table, etc, but still felt intimate. They coordinated well with our outside vendors and I appreciated that we weren’t limited in our vendor selection. They made a lot of things just work without stressing us out at all. The setup for my caterers/servers was excellent and accommodating. The Romeo suite was so much fun for the groomsfolk, but the Juliet suite was an AMAZING amenity. The salon chairs and backlit mirrors were so convenient for my HMUA. The suite was comfortable and roomy despite the zillion people I had coming in and out. The full kitchen (particularly the full size fridge/freezer) was super nice to have. We had our ceremony on the west lawn, which was absolutely beautiful. They also were very enthusiastic and accommodating about letting us get some photos with our dogs and incorporating them into the ceremony. One of the most notable things, though, was how well they handled adapting to my and my guests’ mobility needs. Several of my older family members use walkers and were worried about the walking or the grass and they all felt very accommodated and cared for and were able to enjoy the day. I myself have a disability that affects my ability to walk and stand for very long; this was no problem for them. They shortened the aisle for my ceremony, knew exactly how to create a beautiful ceremony where both we and our wedding party were seated, and they put a lot of mileage on those golf carts getting me and my family where we needed to be safely and comfortably. I cannot recommend White Stone strongly enough and I would have every event there if I could.

We had our wedding at Ludlow Mansion in Monroe WI and it was fantastic. Penny and Greg are great and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Our guests continued to comment throughout the night how the venue was beautiful. Our wedding was in April and they were so accommodating to moving the ceremony to be inside instead of outside the morning of the wedding. I highly recommend going with the three day package as it made everything less stressful. I cannot say enough how happy we were to have our wedding at Ludlow and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for that all in one place for their weddings!
