After some research, I decided to go with Prime Star Visuals for part of my wedding. They were very informative from the beginning and responded quickly with great details on my questions. Dave and team present me with many options that would fit my request. All the pictures were fantastic and I was so pleased that I called them back for a family session photoshoot. The entire team were very professional and were prepared with quality and high-end technologies. Satisfied customer and will be calling them back. I wish that I would have used them for our wedding. Pictures were better quality compared to other vendors

You will not regret choosing Anecdote Photography! Eddie was one of the first vendors I booked after seeing photos from a friend's wedding! He was so professional, helpful, and kind throughout the whole planning process. Eddie responded quickly to every email and his dedication to each and every detail was truly AMAZING. From engagement photos to the wedding day, Anecdote Photography was exactly what I envisioned & I could not be happier! If I had to do it all again, I would book them over and over every time! You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jessica was the best photographer that we could have asked for. From day one, we vibed, and I love her style. She captured every moment, and then some. We truly recommend her to anyone that wants those everlasting memories captured in the right light! She was/is more than a photographer. Thank you, friend. 3

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

When I’m not photographing freaking awesome people, you can find me sitting on the couch in my husband's pajama pants, drinking coffee, snuggling my pets, and editing. Coffee and snuggles are my two primary love languages. My favorite Netflix binges are The Office, Shameless, and Friday Night Lights. Clear eyes, full heart. Speed date: I’m obsessed with Vermont, avocados, dark chocolate, and cats. Pinterest is only my friend for recipes. My favorite fair food is fried dough but I’m allergic to it - what kind of cruel joke is that? I didn’t study photography in college (gasp), but I did study music, and that kind of relates...right?

Erica is AMAZING!!! From our very first consultation call with her, my fiancé and I knew she was the best choice for our engagement shoot and wedding. We laughed and chatted and felt comfortable right off the bat. I have been told that you end up being around your wedding photographer more than almost anyone else on your wedding day - so it's super important you feel comfortable around them, so I was thrilled to feel like I have known her for years just over a Zoom call! Then, she managed to fit us in her schedule last minute, and drive over 3 hours to us in the Greater Boston area to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! She frolicked around the park in the cold with us, LITERALLY climbing in and out of bushes and trees to get these gorgeous shots. You couldn't tell by the photos... but I was super duper nervous going into the shoot. I’m not a huge fan of my picture being taken… and the thought a professional camera made me feel extremely anxious. But Erica was so kind, and calm, and made me laugh and feel comfortable literally immediately!!! My fiancé and I are sooooo awkward too, but she expertly posed us in many different ways that make us look like pros LOL! A day that I had so much anxiety for… ended up being such a blast for both of us, truly. JUST THE SHOOT IN ITSELF will be a wonderful memory we will cherish forever. And then she got us the photos in record time, I couldn't believe it! So fast!!! And to no surprise, they were all incredible. It's so hard to choose a favorite, I have like 10 haha. I am beyond excited to have her shoot our wedding in the future. Five stars for EVERYTHING! Seriously. She is so incredibly talented!!!!

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy was a pleasure to work with from the very first interaction I had with her. She is full of joy and excitement about her work and it really comes through. We are extremely happy with both the engagement photos and our wedding photos—especially the photos of our reception. She captured the joy and excitement of the day so incredibly well. Looking through the albums allowed us to relive the day together and gave us so many fun snaps of our guests enjoying the party. Neither of us are comfortable in front of a camera, but she somehow managed to help us relax and enjoy the experience, making the pictures even more beautiful. Cappy was there for every important moment of our day without being overwhelming. We all laughed with her during the posed shots of our family and bridal party and she managed to somehow work her way around the dance floor seamlessly to get the most amazing pictures of the party. Being able to see these and share them with family and friends has brought us so much joy and laughter. Cappy is incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with—zero drama and all smiles. She was on time with everything, including the turnaround of the albums. She brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, Teresa, who was also amazing and they made a GREAT team. We would recommend her work to anyone!

Nina Marin Photography

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras to using flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
I'd been following Nina Marin on Instagram for a number of years so once I got engaged, I knew exactly who to reach out to to capture my engagement shoot and elopement. As someone who cringes at being in front of the camera, she made me feel at ease and didn't hesitate to pose us or adjust our awkward hands/faces/etc. The pictures we got back felt like us — Nina was able to capture not only the visual aspects of our special day, but also the sheer bliss. I'm so grateful to have worked with such an easygoing and trustworthy photographer.

Krutick Photography

Think of me not just as a photographer but as a friend who’s all in for every giggle, tear, and dance move. My style? I'm a photojournalist. It’s candid, intimate, genuine, and a bit moody—perfect for narrating your day. If you love storytelling that captures the spirit of the day, weaving the subtle, in-between moments into a visual narrative, then we might just be a match made in photography heaven. We'll capture the day's vibe, allowing you to look back and relive it like a movie.

Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

Rebecca has been working as a professional photographer for over 10 years. She began with a small film camera, taking photos at her favorite concerts. As she grew, so did her unique style and her passion. She attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ca. and obtained a BA in Advertising Photography. Over the past 10 years she has had the opportunity to photograph events in places such as Portland, Or., San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Monterey, Ca., Washington DC, Florida and now New York City. She frequently travels for her photography and loves every moment.

Rebecca was amazing from the first time we spoke. We loved our engagement shoot so much that we couldn't wait to see her work her magic for our wedding day. We are completely obsessed with the photos that we received and Rebecca's responsiveness through the entire process. She was a joy to work with and her work is beautiful. My husband and I highly recommend Rebecca and are excited to utilize her for other family events in the future!!

Hi, Thanks for reading! Here's my photography short story: 2017, after 13 years of teaching, I said goodbye to the classroom and pursued Olympic weightlifting photography- my company was Everyday Lifters. Shortly after, I launched my wedding business. The Long Version: Weightlifting has taken me to places like Turkmenistan, Germany, & across the country! The weightlifters started getting married, and along the way, I received training to advocate for diverse bodies as a photographer. During this time of transition, I started taking documenting courses through the International Center of Photography and work on documenting local stories.

Choosing a photographer is always hard, it is even more nerve racking when choosing your wedding photographer. That wasn’t the case when we met and connected with Viviana. Viviana from the start was able to put us at ease and was incredibly welcoming. She was very open and helpful as we navigated the planning process. During the day of our wedding we felt like we were in safe and good hands. We didn’t feel like we had to act a certain way or pose in an inauthentic manner. We felt at ease and like our true selves throughout. Viviana’s approach and warmth helped us be our true selves and embrace the day to its fullest. When we received the photos we were thrilled about how they all came out. We loved that each picture captured a special moment on our special day. Whether that was at our first look, ceremony, or when we hit the dance floor. We included pictures to our friends along with our thank you notes. It was an absolute pleasure to partner with Viviana on our wedding day photography. We highly recommend her and her work for your wedding!

Welcome! I'm Anita. I aim to freeze moments in time, ensuring they never fade away. Picture this: the exact curve of a smile, the hues of an unforgettable sunset, the ability to relive a cherished memory and rewind time. I value creating a safe haven for every facet of your humanity. Whether you're camera-shy or uncertain about interacting with a stranger, I strive to make the process comfortable. Let's not just capture moments; let's craft an experience where, perhaps, we'll both discover a new friend in the making.

I had hired a photographer for budgetary reasons and about two weeks before my wedding panicked because I wanted another style of photography. Anita literally saved the day, thank god she was available! She worked so flexibly with the other photographer, capturing some of my absolute favorite photos of the entire day. I cannot recommend her enough!

I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. I understand that you’ve never done this before and you may not even know where to start! Don’t worry- I got you!

Finding a good photographer was high on our priority list for vendors. We got married outside in the Catskill Mountains and as such we wanted a photographer capable of capturing the depth of the forest. After looking through Sam's portfolio we knew she was good, but after working with her and seeing her work firsthand we can say she's the best. Getting your photo taken can be awkward, especially given the high stakes of a wedding. But Sam is able to make you feel immediately comfortable while simultaneously taking the most stunning photos you'll ever see. We also had a connection session with her, which we would highly recommend so that you can know how she works - very fun and relaxed, but professional. Sam helped us outline the entire day of the wedding, and based on her knowledge the day went off without a hitch. We're so grateful she agreed to work with us!

Matthew Rigby Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Suffern, NY

I am a wedding photographer with 8+ years experience in the business, although my photographic journey began years before that. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for travel and landscape photography. Today my wedding photography is deeply influenced by the natural beauty found in the scenery around us, as well as the important moments between a couple. I am also a science and math teacher, and I have a background in Marine Biology. I think one reason I am a good wedding photographer is my keen sense of observation and attention to detail! Whenever I have free time I love to cook and travel with my wife, brew beer, and run.

I 100% recommend booking Matthew Rigby as your wedding photographer! He was in the truest sense the definition of a professional. He has all of the qualities that make a wedding photographer amazing. My wife and I were instantly impressed by his organization and communication. He took the time to get to know us over the phone by asking questions about our lives, our story, and what photo theme we were interested in. He had examples on his website for different styles that made our decisions easier. Prior to the wedding, he had an organized and detailed questionnaire that would ensure the wedding day goes smoothly. He made one of the most essential parts of a wedding (photography) so much less stressful on us. On wedding day, he continued to impress us. His organization, positive attitude, ability to stay structured, but also be flexible to our last minute requests was remarkable. We were able to enjoy part of our cocktail hour thanks to his quick work after the ceremony. One of my favorite qualities about Matthew was his ability to capture special moments and allow the bride and groom private and intimate moments to share on the wedding day during the reception. He pulled us aside to capture the most stunning sunset picture that is one of my favorite pictures and moments together! Later in the night, he reminded us again to have a moment outside of the venue to cherish each other as newlyweds, and yet again, captured incredible moments that I will always remember. The quality and artistic nature of Matthew's photos are exactly what you want on your wedding day. We will have these incredible pictures for years! We can tell that Matthew does wedding photography for the right reasons. He spent so much time with the bride and bridesmaids for the getting ready pictures prior to the event. He captured every important moment during the ceremony. He continued to spend hours at our reception capturing the party atmosphere during dancing, cake cutting, and all of the moments I will be able to remember and relive thanks to his attention to detail and experience as a wedding photographer. One unique feature at the end of the night was he printed and framed a few of the best photos from the night and gave them as gifts to the bride and groom, and parents of the bride and groom. Seeing the photos in person so quickly the night of the wedding and having something to take back with us was remarkable. We cannot recommend Matthew more highly. He is a true professional, and the photographs that he took, edited, and delivered to us for download are flawless! You will not regret for one moment booking Matthew Rigby as your wedding photographer!

I'm Alex. I spend my free time with my husband and our dogs Conor & Belle. I'm lucky to live in the Hudson Valley surrounded by amazing nature and upstate lifestyle. Art is something that I fell in love with at a young age and has always carried me through life- it lead me to photography. The mixture of art and emotion is one of the things I love most about wedding photography. When you look through your collection of photos I want you to feel and see the emotion, love and fun you had on your best day ever.

As a wedding florist, I've had the pleasure of working with some extremely talented and gifted photographers throughout the years and certainly have my favorites. Alex from White Poppy weddings is for sure one of them. She is kind, genuine, very easy to work with and I LOVE that she has an eye for not only only capturing the tender and important moments, but the beautiful details that tell the story of the day. I am always excited to work with Alex, whether it be a styled shoot or a wedding because I know the vibe of the day will be easygoing and fun and the photos are going to be GOOD!! I could not recommend this sweet, talented gal enough.

If there is anything I'd love for you to know the most about me, it's this: I will show up for you with compassion, courage and patience (and a little unconventional when inspired). My superhero strength is to see things that you don't; capturing significant moments or your 'perfect side.' I will transform your misconceptions about how you look on camera. It's empowering. I want to do that for you. I received my BFA in fine-arts from Pratt Institute and shot my first wedding in 1992. Photomuse was founded in 2002 and has gone on to become an award-winning photography studio.

When I’m not photographing amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley with my family, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

There are always things you would do differently, but hiring Debbie Gander Photography is certainly not one of them. Debbie made us feel right at home from the moment we met her. She is professional, but also kind and personable. Our engagment shoot was perfect, and set our minds completely at ease for the big day. When our wedding day arrived, Debbie delivered with the most stunning pictures, some of which we never dreamed could be possible. We will certainly work with Debbie again, that is a certainty.

My passion for photography started at a very young age. Polaroid,Kodak, disposable cameras anything I could get my hands on for as long as I can remember. After working for several years in photojournalism and editing I decided to make the switch to a full time wedding photographer in 2010. I haven’t looked back since. I love the rush and excitement of the wedding day. The ability to meet new people and travel new places. Every weekend I get to experience different families, friends, foods and cultures. It’s not a job it’s a gift. My gift in return to you is images I pour my heart and soul into.

My husband and I could not imagine our wedding without Blue Jar Photo. Meg is truly an artist and captured such beautiful and unique shots of our wedding. If you're looking to commemorate the candid and intimate moments of your special day, Blue Jar Photo can do just that. I could not be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. I highly recommend Blue Jar Photo! Absolutely amazing!

They were not pushy, listened to our vision, and were personable and friendly the entire time. They were extremely organized regarding pre-planning of what photos to take but also were responsive to the environment and any day of ideas. We would work with them again without hesitation.

After graduating from Siena college in 2019, I was invited by my parents to manage our family's business of professional photography, and assume the duties of managing our New York Office.

Weefan was referred to us by my husband's best friend and I was not disappointed. Lauren was so amazing to work with from the moment I reached out to even after my wedding. She's very responsive and knowledgeable about the industry and it's different trends. The day of the wedding, Lauren and her team came in and took control. There wasn't one moment I was worried things weren't going to come out how I wanted them. They even stayed a little later to take a few extra family photos for us. When we got our sneak peeks back, I was absolutely in love! They were amazing and I cannot wait to receive the rest of our photos! If you're thinking of booking Weefan Photography, definitely do it. You will not be disappointed!

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Suffern, NY

Hey there!! My name is Marilyn and I'm so glad you're here ♡ I am a couples + wedding photographer based in New York City, and happy to travel to wherever your day is at! I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

I could not recommend Marilyn LaManna more. From booking, to our engagement shoot, to consultation calls to the day of the wedding, there was not a single moment I doubted her skill, her vision and her professionalism! If you want gorgeous, artistic photos shot by the chillest, kindest most supportive photographer, Marilyn is your gal. As someone super anxious about not being photogenic, I felt nothing but calm and comfortable in front of her camera. Nothing felt overly posed, nothing felt forced or awkward. She was super accommodating and always always respectful. Go for Marilyn and you will not be disappointed!!!

  • Starts at $5,450
  • Serves Suffern, NY

Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.

Christopher Duggan Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,950
  • Serves Suffern, NY

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Christopher Duggan Photography was a dream to work with for our wedding. Christopher and his team were timely, personal, professional, and compassionate in all of their communication with us. The quality of Christopher's photography is simply exquisite - the images he captured from our wedding day are extraordinary and magical, truly capturing the essence of our special day. Christopher and his team paid such close attention to detail, and made the day so loving and fun. They were a joy to have as part of our wedding day. I cannot recommend Christopher Duggan Photography highly enough for any special event - their exceptional communication, top-notch skills, and warm personalities lead to photographic memories you will cherish forever.

Changing the game in the wedding industry, Enchanted Celebrations aims to successfully redefine the paradigm of personalization and compassion in each wedding. Whether we are capturing your love story behind a lens or mixing your perfect wedding day soundtrack, Enchanted Celebrations has the experts to create the wedding day vibes you’ve always dreamed of.

We had such an easy time working with Enchanted Celebrations staff that I would jump at choosing them again! Blair and Summer were professional, thorough, empathetic and communicated very clearly all the different features of the videography plans so that we felt like we chose the right plan for our wedding day. As time came closer, Summer was diligent at working with us on the details for the day-of, and then a few days before the wedding we confirmed everything with Edwin, our assigned videographer. Edwin’s style was spot-on with what we imagined and the videos came out beautiful and so much quicker than we expected them. We’re delighted with our experience!

We're a husband/wife photography duo. We're college sweethearts and we're currently expecting our first child in June 2021! We are so happy to be in this business but we didn’t always know we’d become wedding photographers. Seth spent about 10 years in video production (aka the equipment expert) and Nicole is an advertising art director (aka the artsy perfectionist).

Where can I even start? Seth is one of the most personable, professional, friendly people I have ever met. Off the bat with our first FaceTime meeting, he had me sold! His photos are absolutely stunning, and there’s no question that he is incredibly talented and has an eye for the perfect shot. Throughout our 21 month engagement, Seth kept in touch through the pandemic, the possibility of postponing, and him and his wife expecting their baby right around the time of our wedding! Through it all, Seth had a back up plan and was ready to handle any possible situation. The best part, Seth has now become a good friend that we plan to keep in touch with in the years the come. I promise you won’t regret having himself and his awesome team capturing your wedding day!
