This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Adventure travel, hiking, eating street food in foreign cities, and scuba diving are activities that describe me well. I'd take an adventure outside over a gym any day. When I'm not photographing (my full-time job) or traveling, I'm likely cooking, eating, or camping. Whether you’re a fellow outdoors-lover or something else entirely, I’ll take the time to get to know your unique interests and personalities, and will create tailored, scroll-stopping images with my innovative techniques.     Kathryn Cooper Weddings provided us with exceptional photography services for our wedding day. Her communication was excellent, timely, friendly, and honest throughout the entire process. The quality of her work was truly exceptional, with unique and timepiece-worthy photos that captured every detail of our special day. Kathryn arrived prior to the event to ensure we had the best time and location for our sunset photos, and she scoped out the venue ahead of time to find the perfect adventure shoot locations. Her pictures tell the most beautiful story, making each photo appear magazine-ready. We enjoyed Kathryn's work so much that we eagerly recommend her to our friends, family, and coworkers, and we look forward to using her services again for another event in the future.

    We worked with Kathryn for our October 2024 Hindu/Jewish blended wedding and were so happy with our decision!! We spoke with MANY photographers during the planning process trying to decide who fit our style and personality leading up to our wedding. Neither of us feel super comfortable in front of the camera so it was important to us that we found someone who truly fit us and what we were looking for. Kathryn's warmth, adventurous spirit, and genuine curiosity about us as a couple really stood out, and we immediately knew she was who we wanted to work with. We had a large wedding with many Hindu/Jewish traditions making the day busy & hectic, but Kathryn's professionalism and calm attitude made us feel at ease. We really appreciated how on top of it she was, sticking to our timeline and facilitating our rather large (and rowdy!) group, all while making the staged photos seamless and the candids from the reception/baraat so special and a true representation our special day. The colors are just magnificent, and we had many guests compliment her work, fun nature, and professionalism throughout the night. Thank you Kathryn for making our day so wonderful!!

    We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

    I can’t say enough about Kathryn. She is the most amazing photographer and she is so great handling all the personalities. Everyone in my wedding party was obsessed with her. She is amazing. Get her if you can!!!!
