My name is Alyona V Kolesnik and I love everything that makes memories. From writing everything in journals since third grade, to printing photos from my phone, and now making memories with you! I started off with taking millions of pictures of trees and flowers, my siblings and food when I was 12 years old - the more I did it, the more I realized I want to share the joy in photos with those around me. I'm a wife, believer, teacher, and gardener, and I would say I'm crunchy(ish). You can often find me with a Starbucks refresher in hand or stuffing my face with pizza. Most days, I don't even bother wearing makeup and love to be outdoors getting my hands dirty or basking in the sun with a good book. Speaking of good books, one of my favorite spots to go is the library and when I'm not there, I love to roam around Terrain or a greenhouse. I dream of a simple life and am enjoying pursuing that with my husband.

I am a fine art wedding photographer and wedding planner, wife, and mother to our three sweet babies! I first fell in love with photography at an early age. I became very inspired watching my father photograph weddings and capturing the authentic joy on his clients best day. I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.
