Each event, at it’s root, is a story. It’s a unique story of that moment in time- a newborn coming home, a bride and groom embracing or a grandmother on her 85th birthday - and it's an important moment to hold still. My role as a photographer is to tell that story as honestly as I can. I want people to look back on these memories and remember it exactly as they experienced it. That’s why I aim for transparency in my photography that neither adds nor takes away from the moments that I am documenting.

I believe that every great photographer is an artist. A great photographer can not only capture great images, but create images worthy of capturing! I feel that it is my job to both capture and create and that is exactly what I do! I have learned that the art of creating photographs can be very personal & empowering. It means so much to me and to my subjects. It's something that strikes me at the core and I pour myself into each event. The gifts, friendships, purpose & meaning photography has brought into my life are immeasurable and I am so very grateful for what I do.

She captured all the special moments of our rehearsal and wedding day flawlessly. My husband and I have never felt completely comfortable in front of the camera, but Meredith's enthusiastic yet comfortable demeanor kept us relaxed and resulted in stunning, natural photos that we will cherish forever. Meredith was an absolute joy to work with! Her warm, fun energy instantly put us at ease, allowing us to feel comfortable and be ourselves, which truly shines through in our photos. She has an incredible eye for not only capturing the background, lighting, and surroundings perfectly but also bringing out the unique personality of everyone she photographs. We did our engagement photoshoot in NYC, which captured a cool, chic city love story, and our wedding day photoshoot at a vineyard in Charlottesville, VA, on a beautiful summer day. The vineyard setting was so dreamy, and Meredith effortlessly captured the natural beauty of the day, making every moment look timeless and elegant. When you look at her pictures, it feels like you’re reliving those moments. Her shots are full of life—not stiff or posed—but vibrant and authentic, capturing the true essence of each moment. Meredith was also incredibly kind and easy to work with, offering thoughtful advice both before and during the shoot. This was our first time having professional photos taken, but thanks to her, we felt relaxed from the start. Her work is a perfect mix of classy, modern, and elegant, with a splash of fun and a seize-the-day vibe. Hiring Meredith Coe was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the get go she was personable, professional and very responsive to any and all questions. Given the times that our wedding had to take place during (the COVID-19 pandemic, hopefully you'll read this in the future when COVID will no longer overshadow everything we do), she went above and beyond to make sure the beauty and magic of the day were highlighted in the photos. My 3 year old niece was the flower girl and Meredith worked wonders to capture her peak adorableness despite some mid-day tantrums. We received all of our photos in a very timely fashion and I just fell in love with every single one of them. Our family and friends have stated time and time again that these are some of the best wedding photos they've ever seen! Attempting to cut down the number of photos and create a "highlights" album was one of the most challenging things ever because we loved so, so many of them. I truly cannot recommend someone more highly than I recommend Meredith Coe!
