We are Amy & Jackson Smith, a husband and wife team, who met through photography. We fell in love and got married in our own backyard right here in Charlottesville. We feel so fortunate to meet such genuine people and have the opportunity to tell their stories. Since 2014 we have shot over 150 weddings at more than 60 venues. We are based in Charlottesville, Virginia and love photographing weddings here as well as Richmond, Washington DC, and beyond.

We bring a calming presence to your wedding. Gently guiding you throughout the day, to help you feel relaxed at ease so that you can focus on spending your time with each other, and all the people you love.

    Amy and Jackson were the absolute best choice for our wedding photographers. From our first communication to our pre-wedding engagement photo shoot, Amy made sure we felt comfortable and took her time to get to know us and figure out what was most important to us with regards to photography. Amy's calm energy and Jackson's whimsical spirit are the perfect complement to one another and helped make us feel relaxed and joyful. Our engagement photos were planned for an incredibly foggy day and Amy and Jackson were incredibly flexible - taking some very dramatic photos of us at Blue Ridge Parkway and some more casual pictures the next day in Belmont. Leading up to the wedding, Amy did a great job communicating with us and helping us plan out a timeline. On the day of the wedding, they helped us stay on schedule but didn't force anything. They were on the dancefloor with us and got some incredible shots. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to work with them!
