Hi there. I originally hail from Georgia, but am so happy to now call Charlottesville my home. When I'm not chasing down perfect sunlight, you can usually find me tucked away somewhere with a book, writing, enjoying life with my partner Charles, styling my 1920s home, or snuggling with my Frenchie pup, Finny.

My work is a combination of posing that takes advantage of the best light and locations and capturing moments as they unfold in the moment. I take charge when it feels right and direction is called for, but step back and let you enjoy your wedding when the time is right, so you can be truly present and enjoy the beauty of your day to the fullest.

I wish I could give Audra 11 stars. She was the hands down BEST choice for our wedding. We were so lucky for Audra to work with us for a boudoir, a Catholic ceremony, a rehearsal dinner and our wedding. Looking back I feel SO grateful that we chose to work with her. She tells your story through her lens in a way that feels so much more than just "a photo". She is an artist in every form of the word and she is brilliant at her craft. I feel like every photo she takes could have a poem or heartfelt story attached. Everything is so intentional and beautifully crafted. She is so good about making you look natural, unposed and authentically you. She is so much more than I could have ever imagined our wedding photographer would provide. She worked closely with us on timeline, making sure everything was comfortable, she paid attention to what we liked or didn't like. She is a girls girl who was an ear to listen or hear out my wedding day worries and always reassured me that she was going to have our vision played out and SHE DELIVERED! All the work Audra posts is so beautiful, and let me tell you, when its you within her art, it is hard to believe that your story can be told in such an artful, intentional and meaningful way. We considered getting a videographer at one point, and after our Catholic ceremony, I felt like her work could tell the story just as well. It felt like we had the entire day planned out. The details, the candids, the emotional shots, photos of my in laws, the hands of our grandparents, the way the light was shining in the stained glass windows that morning, just every detail was captured and flipping through the photos felt like breaking down the day into bite size pieces that we could take in slowly and treasure forever. Audra was always on time, always prepared and I am so grateful that one of the only things I will be able to take with me from my wedding day(s) will be the photography she so artfully captured so we can remember as many details as possible (because it truly does go so fast). I cannot say enough good things, she was hands down my favorite vendor and if you love the work you see, I promise you, she can make that happen for you too. I truly cannot believe some of her art work is us and I will cherish it for a lifetime. Also her husband did some behind the scenes for the Catholic wedding and it was the sweetest surprise to see those little moments, again captured so intentionally and giving such a well rounded feel of the day. I believe he may do some content creation and I would highly consider him if there are some extra moments you would like to have. I am forever grateful! I would pick her a million times over.

Audra is a fantastic photographer and person. Audra did an engagement photo shoot for me and my wife and photographed our wedding, and I cannot speak highly enough about what an awesome job she did. The photos are phenomenal, she took the small amount of feedback we had to heart and incorporated it, and she made sure we were all on the same page about the style of photographs we wanted. She was able to capture the two of us and our loved ones in a natural and intimate way without ever taking away from the moment. Also, she was incredibly fun to work with and made the whole experience a blast. I highly recommend her for any photography needs!

I don’t even know where to start. Audra was amazing, I don’t know how but we had crazy weather for both our engagement shoot (Canadian wild fires making it the smokiest day of a decade) and our wedding (hottest day of a decade at 100 degrees feels like 110). But Audra could not have been more amazing, she was so flexible and handled all the weather hurdles like such a pro. She was able to take all the photos we wanted and make us feel so comfortable while doing so. She captures such beautiful moments and was so patient when people were late or grumpy about the heat. She then handed us some of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen and made me feel so gorgeous and that I was back in the moment with my husband. I seriously love every photo so much I think she has such a gorgeous style that can take a simple moment and turn it into a work of art. I cannot recommend her enough.

Audra Jones was, to put it simply, the perfect person to photograph our wedding. We knew what we wanted - a small, intimate gathering of our closest friends and family, full of life and personality, but none of the hassle weddings are usually known for. But finding a photographer who could capture that feeling seemed like a challenge - until we met Audra. She didn't just capture the most important moments of our big day, she felt like part of them. She was incredibly professional and courteous throughout the entire event, nimbly bouncing around the ceremony to capture the perfect pictures without obstructing anyone's view. And when it came time for the real party to begin, she effortlessly blended into the crowd as they danced the night away during the reception. Her secret? She danced right alongside our guests! We received so many compliments from friends and family alike, praising Audra's ability to make them feel comfortable as she snapped their photos. Audra was a joy to work with in every aspect of planning our wedding. She had a vision but was always willing to collaborate, she was well organized but never strict, and she was so quick to get finished photos back to us, without sacrificing quality. If you're looking for a photographer for your wedding, we can't recommend Audra Jones Photography enough!
