Handsome Hollow is a truly rare place. This new Catskill Mountains Barn venue is on 93 stunning acres of meadows, forests, streams, and mountains. The meticulously restored 18th-century English barn is 4,200 sf and includes two finished bathrooms, a catering area, and a 1000 sf bluestone cocktail patio. The rental of the Handsome Hollow venue also includes two nights for six in the elegantly restored 19th-century farmhouse. Seminary Hill is an all-season flexible space that offers a distinctive venue to host your weekend wedding. Located 2 ½ hours northwest of NYC, our holistic apple and pear orchard and working cidery provide breathtaking views of the Catskills and the Delaware River Valley. We offer both indoor and outdoor settings. You may stage your ceremony on a high ridge overlooking the Delaware River or nestled among the apple and pear trees. You may serve lunch or dinner in our award-winning Tasting Room or our elegant Wedding Tent. Our Executive Chef Jack Tippett has created seasonal catering menus that pair perfectly with our ciders.Included in the wedding package are the Mountain House and Cottage, sleeping ten guests. Additional lodging for 50 guests is available at the Boarding House and two houses in Callicoon, the small town just down the hill that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our venue is a working cider apple farm and distillery with an orchard, greenhouse, vegetable & flower gardens, a flock of 50 exotic chickens, Sebastopol geese, Soay sheep and two super sweet Chihuahuas named Isabella and Mela. Our barn was built in the late 1870's. It has been renovated over the last few years to be the perfect space for up to 130 guests. We got married in our barn and had 80 of our closest friends and family for the event. It’s the ideal venue for these smaller weddings.

It can host up to 150 guests comfortably inside the barn, with additional space on the deck for cocktail hour and an adjacent lawn area for your ceremony. There is also an additional lounge seating area if some of your guests would like to relax with a bit of quiet time. Antique chandeliers accent the hardwood floors, walls and beams providing the rustic character that compliments the temperature controlled AC and heat to enable us to provide year-round events. In addition to the barn, deck, and ceremony space, the onsite 4 bedroom (7 queen beds) restored farmhouse is included in the venue for the weekend. A Friday check in enables you to prepare yourself for the big day and set up the space in the barn with any decor. The house is yours for the entire weekend for up to 8 guests. It works perfectly as a bridal suite for everyone to get ready.
