The venue is located on the property of a nineteenth-century estate, the original home of the du Pont family, now home to Hagley Museum. Historic Waverly Mansion is located in Marriottsville, Maryland. This 1760's era estate is a the perfect setting of an intimate garden wedding and reception! The Mansion and property is owned and operated by Howard County Government's Recreation and Parks Department and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Historic Waverly Mansion is considered an outdoor venue. The property includes beautifully maintained gardens, the historic Mansion, and rustic barn. During our peak rental season, a 60x40ft event tent is included in wedding rentals. Historic Waverly provides the location and property amenities while the Permit Holder provides all vendors, including an approved full-service Caterer and Wedding Coordinator. Historic Waverly Mansion is a Howard County Park. Howard County Recreation and Park guidelines apply to all scheduled events and are different from privately owned venues. We are a historic 1920s Italian Revival mansion with breathtaking riverfront views in a convenient urban location. During your wedding you will have access to the entire mansion, including our Conservatory Ballroom, for your reception. Below is some additional information about weddings at King Mansion. - The Conservatory Ballroom can accommodate 160 guests with a dance floor. For guest counts over 160 we have additional options including a foyer dance floor or a tented reception on our front lawn. - Catering services are not included in our rental fee. We require you to select a caterer from our list of (5) options with varying price ranges to fit your needs & budget. - You are permitted to purchase & provide your alcohol as long as it's served by a licensed and insured bartender.
