While the client is responsible for cleaning up and removing all decorations following the event - The Booking House takes care of cleaning bathrooms and floors of the facility.

What is a layout consultation meeting?

During the layout consultation The Booking House staff works diligently to create a custom layout that best fits the client’s needs and we take care of all the set up and tear down before and after your event.

Who is here during our event and what do they take care of? (PART I)

Accepted Answer

The Booking House also provides two building managers and two parking attendants on the day of your event. The parking attendants are here 30-45 minutes before the start of your event to direct guests into parking spots upon arrival. The building managers are here the whole day.

Who is here during our event and what do they take care of? (PART II)

One manager is here in the morning to answer questions, help direct vendors to get in/out easily, and make sure the building is ready to go for the event. Two other managers arrive an hour prior to the start of your event to direct guests upon arrival, help with elevators, adjust temperatures and lighting, and assist with the event as needed!

Who is here during our event and what do they take care of? (PART III)

Our building managers are not coordinators and they do not help with set up or clean up for your decor; they are simply here to answer questions about the building and make sure everyone is safe. They will take care of closing down the building once you have your items cleaned up and loaded in your vehicles. We do offer an in-house coordinating service that can be added onto your reservation! Our coordinators work with you closely leading up to and on your day to ensure a smooth + stress-free event!

How long is the rental reservation?

We only book one event per day so you get access to the entire venue on your day starting at 10am for you to enjoy the on-site getting ready rooms and vendors can begin setting up for your event. We give 5.5 hours for your event timeframe in which guests are here for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (this 5.5 hours does not include your getting ready time). There is a 1-hour clean up timeframe included once your reception has ended.

What is your capacity in the Rizzardi Room?

The Rizzardi Room can accommodate approximately 200-250 guests seated for ceremony and reception.

The Whitaker Room can accommodate up to 250 guests for a standing cocktail hour when combined with The Station Room.

What is the purpose of the Crow’s Nest?

The Crow’s Nest is a cigar lounge adding a unique space that you and your guests can enjoy throughout the night. This lounge area is great for use as a second getting ready space for the groom & groomsmen to prepare for the event and hang out.

What is the Bridal suite like?

The bridal suite is a modern feminine space for the bridal party to use as a getting ready space. There is plenty of room to accommodate hair & make up teams. The room features lots of comfy seating, a kitchenette, Keurig and coffee supplies, a powder room, and cubbies to store personal items.

Do you have in-house catering?

No, we do not handle any food for events or have in-house catering. We provide a list of required caterers that our clients must choose from. The Booking House reserves the right to deny a caterer to serve at the event depending on past experiences and inability to provide insurance.

Can you accommodate DJs and bands for music/entertainment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we can accommodate a DJ or a band for your event. Due to our local noise ordinance, all music must be stopped by 11pm.

Is alcohol allowed?

Yes! You must have “One Day Event Insurance” and all alcohol must be served by the bartending staff. No outside alcohol is permitted at an event and guest or members of the wedding party may not bring their own supply and/or self-serve during the event.

Who brings the alcohol?

Clients are permitted to supply their own alcohol for the event for our licensed & insured bartenders to serve your guests. Guests may not bring their own alcohol and any unattended alcohol will be confiscated by our staff and put behind the bar for the bartenders to serve.

Can we decorate?

Yes, you may decorate as long as you do not need use of a ladder - any decorating that requires the use of a ladder must be done by an insured vendor that can provide proof of insurance. Confetti, silly string, loose seeds, rice, and tape of any kind on the wooden floors are prohibited at The Booking House. Please do not put tacks or nails in the fireplace or walls.

Are candles allowed?

Real candles are allowed. We require that the candles are inside glass containers/lanterns and must be displayed on tables or the mantles; no real flames on the floors/along the aisle. Small tea lights are prohibited; please choose votive candles or larger candles when making décor selections.

May we set up the night before?

Accepted Answer

Set up is permitted to start at 10am on the morning of your event. This gives our cleaning & set up team the time they need to set up your custom furniture layout and make sure the facility is clean for your event. There are some instances where you may come in the day prior to your event, but this is not guaranteed and any special accommodations must be approved by The Booking House. No items may be stored in the warehouse after your wedding.

When do we need to have everything out of the building?

When your event ends, you will have one hour to remove all decorations and belongings. You must take all items with you the night of your event.

Who is responsible for the trash?

Accepted Answer

Caterers and bartenders are responsible for removal of their food & beverage trash. Any trash accumulated in the lobby, suites, etc. will be removed by The Booking House staff at the end of the night.

Does a wedding coordinator come with the rental fee?

No, a wedding coordinator is not included in the rental fee, but we do have an in-house coordinating service available at an additional service cost. Our in-house coordinators jump in about 2 months prior to your event to organize your details, create a timeline, help you come up with a decor plan, and connect with your hired vendors to make sure that you can relax knowing every detail of the day will be executed!

Is parking provided?

Yes, parking is provided across the street from The Booking House but no vehicles are to be left overnight on the parking lot of The Booking House due to liability and safety. We provide parking attendants for every event to assist with directing guests into parking spots. Free street parking is also available for any overflow.

Is it okay to invite children?

Accepted Answer

Children are welcome at The Booking House but must be supervised. At no time during your event should children be wandering freely around the building.

Are sparklers allowed?

Accepted Answer

No, we do not allow sparkler send offs with your entire wedding group. Some exceptions may be available for a photo at the discretion of The Booking House management team.

Who provides the table linens, napkins, place settings, etc?

We do not provide or offer table linens, napkins, or place setting items. All caterers on our required approved list are full service and will supply these items for you in their packages!

Are other events scheduled on the same day?

We only schedule one event per day at The Booking House so that we may give each client our full focus and attention.

Is set up, getting ready, and clean up part of the 5.5 hours?

The 5.5 hours is the time allotted for your guests to be here. The 5.5 hours begin when the ceremony is scheduled to start and end when the music stops and guests leave that evening. You may begin set up and getting ready at 10am on the day of your event and clean up is a 1-hour timeframe at the end of your event. This time is not part of the 5.5-hour time slot and there is no extra charge for this.

What about a rehearsal?

We offer a complimentary 1-hour of rehearsal time that will be scheduled as close to your event day as possible. When we are three months out from your wedding date we will contact you to schedule your rehearsal.

Where can we take pictures?

Accepted Answer

There are plenty of places to take pictures throughout the building as well as outside. Within walking distance, there is a fielded area with greens & trees behind the venue, train tracks right next to us, as well as industrial buildings that can make for picturesque backdrops!

If we need a room flip, who manages this?

The Booking House staff manages the furniture during a room flip along with your caterer to set your tables and your coordinator will manage your decor/centerpieces.

Who provides tables and chairs?

In your reservation you will also have access to all of our furniture inventory. Our 5 ft. round tables accommodate 8 to 10 people each. Upon request, we can provide a list of all furniture and the floor plans for the facility. Farmhouse style tables are also available as an upgraded furniture piece at an additional cost.

What if we have to cancel our date after we already paid the deposit/difference?

We do not refund any deposits or payments. All payments made to The Booking House are non-refundable.

What is included with the in-house bartending service package?

The Booking House offers a Bartending Service to create a stress-free and seamless experience for your event! With this package, 2 experienced & RAMP certified bartenders will serve at your event. We will provide all necessary glassware, common mixers & garnishes to compliment your drinks, ice, and cocktail napkins. We will meet with you about 2 months prior to your event to discuss your menu.
