About this venue

Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is the dream venue for any couple looking for a historical property in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Civil War-era barn and farmhouse sit on the Gettysburg Battlefield and allow for indoor or outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The 1820’s Civil War Barn accommodates up to 140 guests and houses a dressing room. It is most comfortable May-November, as the weather affects the temperature in the barn. There are several lawns and gardens for beautiful outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. The Solarium, which is available year round, features natural sunlight, a dramatic historic fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and chandeliers. It is perfect for a ceremony or reception and seats up to 75 guests. Accommodations at the B&B include 10 guest rooms inside the Farmhouse, one in the Historic Barn, and a private cottage.

Historic Barn on Gettysburg's South Cavalry Battlefield - Warm Wood & String Lights Galore

The Historic Barn sparkles with string lights which make the warm 200 year-old wood glow. The space seats up to 140 with room for a dance floor & buffet. There's a DJ loft above two modern ADA-compliant restrooms. The Tack Room guest room is underneath the barn, with easy access for the couple to sneak away for a private moment during the party and french doors onto the horse corral. The large barn doors open to overlook sunsets on the pasture.

Solarium

Elegant, spacious room with walls and walls of windows.

Our indoor Solarium venue is an airy, light-filled room with a cathedral ceiling that can accommodate weddings and events up to 79 guests. This is an all-season venue that will delight your guests no matter the weather. The Solarium has a spacious wrap-around deck so your event can be both inside and outside in good weather. The Solarium is part of the Farmhouse building which includes ten bed and breakfast guest rooms, keeping you & your guests warm in cozy for winter weddings.
