Surrounded by rolling Amish and Mennonite farmland, the award-winning, historic Hertzog Homestead event venue is the perfect place for your rustic wedding! Our family's 9th generation farmhouse and Sweitzer barn are distinguished by original oak flooring, a beautiful limestone gable wall and a soaring ceiling accented with tobacco rails and early 1800s wood shingling. In addition to our rustic barn event venue, Hertzog Homestead is also home to an award-winning Bed & Breakfast that offers 4 unique options to choose from including our bridal lounge, groom's lounge, and honeymoon suite! Make Hertzog Homestead your home-away-from-home for the weekend of your wedding! As a family-owned small business, we are extremely intentional with each of our couples and are truly here to serve YOU to the best of our ability. We do our best to accommodate your dreams and desires and create memories that will last far beyond the wedding day.

Rustic Barn Event

In addition to our Bed & Breakfast, Hertzog Homestead is also home our rustic Barn Event Venue! This beautiful, unique space was built in the late 1740’s and was used primarily as a tobacco barn. With sweeping views of Amish and Mennonite farmland, the original limestone backdrop, and soaring tobacco rails set against a wood shingled ceiling, our barn is the perfect setting for your next birthday, anniversary, retirement, reunion, baby shower, or even your wedding!

    Where to begin!? The Hertzog family puts their heart and soul into this venue, you and your special day. Kristen, Scott and Makayla were delightful to work with, understanding our unique needs and helping us plan for a safe and special day during a pandemic. They are thorough, kind and truly put the needs and desires of the couple above all. To add, we rented out the entire B&B and our guests truly loved their experience at both the wedding and as a B&B guest. While barn weddings aren't for everyone, I highly encourage DIYers and those looking for a special place with character to partner with the Hertzog family and let them help make your dreams a reality!
