Kate and all the Viceroy staff were awesome and available to guide as we hosted a small, socially distance and intimate wedding reception. She was always available and flexible. She is the most awesome ambassador for the Viceroy hotels. The hotel was new and well maintained and we loved the outdoor patio where we held our reception. If you are looking a place to host a small outdoor wedding and or reception definitely consider the Viceroy. They heard our concerns and made sure our safety and the safety of our guests was paramount. The food was amazing, definitely try the chicken sandwich!

The Capital Jewish Museum is a beautiful venue with flexible event spaces and thoughtfully curated exhibits. The space is modern and well-appointed with AV, lighting and equipment including tables, chairs and bars. All are high quality and brand new! Event spaces throughout the Museum make for lots of different party plans - a spacious, open first floor would work nicely for a ceremony or program with cocktails on the open-air roof terrace and second floor with time to flip the ceremony space for dinner. Plenty of creative ways to design a lovely party! The events coordinator and the building team are outstanding - very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. Love the CJM team!

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

If you are looking for an outdoor / garden wedding venue, I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion & Farm. It offers stunning scenery and affordable prices that will fit your budget. There is a charming, vintage bridal cottage and a mancave that brides and grooms can use and enjoy while getting ready separately for the day. I especially love the ceremony area; there are these gorgeous Egyptian doors the bride walks through to walk down the aisle. These types of doors are rare for an outdoor space. The tent for the reception is beautiful and has a unique brick patio area. But I think my favorite part about this venue is all the different little areas on the property, including the gaming area and a bird sanctuary that are so unique. There is a formal garden, a game area, a swing, and even a firepit for making smores. There are just so many places to take beautiful pictures, which I think is important to capture on such an important day. You can really get so much on your wedding day for such reasonable prices. Boqueria Penn Quarter was an exceptional choice for our reception venue. From the first time we met with Hadley, their communication was professional, responsive, and well organized. On the day of our wedding reception, the staff was warm, attentive, and truly made us and our guests feel special. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests are still raving about it! The team even surprised us with an extra treat, adding a special churro dessert that was a huge hit. Throughout the event, the food and beverages were plentiful and kept flowing seamlessly. The ground floor, with separate entrances, has a large banquet room and a separate adjoining space perfect for indoor ceremonies and dancing. Outside the doors of the reception rooms is a large brick patio and pollinator garden, just right for cocktail hour. At the edge of the woods is a huge Maple tree and a waterfall where most of our couples choose to have their wedding ceremony. Pheasant Run Farm Bed and Breakfast is just 10 minutes from the city of Lancaster in a private rural setting with an elegant flare.

The staff is amazing and gives recommendations for vendors that frequent there and their coordinator we had, Maddie, was a god send for an unfortunate event with our original photographer and was in constant communication with us prior to the wedding. Amazing views as well as a great area to get ready in for both guys and girls.

Let me start with District Winery is a fabulous wedding venue! For starters, it is gorgeous inside and out with a besutiful waterfront location. That alone wooed us, but the real wooing came from Latoria, the DW sales manager, who was fantastic to work with. She was incredibly patient answering all of our many questions before we signed the contract and afterwards letting us know the next steps. Another fantastic aspect of weddings at DW is that they assign you an event manager - and now this is where the big, huge thanks come into play. Samantha was absolutely incredible to work with! She was our event manager and left no detail unaccounted for. From our first email exchange to our final walkthrough and then the final, final details, she answered every question and ensured everything was set and ready to go. She is very detail oriented and the spreadsheet she gave us to complete with all of our decor, dietary restrictions, etc. ensured fantastic organization and that everyone was on the same page. Day-of, I could not believe how perfectly everything turned out with our decor, flowers, and food. The food at DW is fantastic - if you haven’t been yet for a visit - go! Everyone knows that you don’t go to a wedding and expect great food and wine, but that is not the case here at DW. After our unbelievable tasting night (which was just insanely awesome), we had to narrow down our favorites which was hard to do!One of my favorite aspects of a wedding is cocktail hour and they delighted with the passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations (including a cheese tower), and bar! Also, as my husband and I keep saying- the best money we spent was on the gorgeous and fun champagne tower! Obviously, I can’t say enough great things about our wedding at District Winery. If we could do it all over again, we would and we wouldn’t change a thing! Huge thanks to Samantha and District Winery for making our dream day come true!

When hosting at the Mellon, you will need to work with one of our approved vendors to supply all of your event needs (catering, rentals, décor, valet, ect.).

I have had the pleasure of working with the team at the Mellon professionally, so when it was time for my wedding I knew I would have a great experience in this space. The venue is one of the most gorgeous in DC -- the columns, balcony overlook, green rooms, and stage make this a really perfect venue for a wedding. We had our ceremony at a church, but if needed we could have held it in the two green rooms toward the rear of the building (look up photos, its gorg.) The venue itself just absorbs color, lighting and sound, so its easy to add some simple or even over the top decor to make this space fit for your vision. You can have a number of different floorplans and seating arrangements, so its uniquely versatile for such a large venue in DC The team was very easy to work with - the information that they have is very detailed, and they're happy to talk through the details, schedule walkthroughs, and answer questions as it relates to the contracts and requirements to host an event there. Since it is such a well oiled machine, the paperwork and details that the team shares is very straightforward and to the point, and they're always ready to help answer questions as it comes to suppliers, insurance, and general operations. They have vast experience with different suppliers, including caterers and wedding planners who are in the space all the time -- they really want to simplify the process -- which with this type of property can be quite challenging! The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and every single one of our guests were in awe of the size and scope of the space. Two things to remember - you'll have to get your dance floor through their team (which is easy because the install and dismantle is efficient) and the restrooms are on a separate level from the mail hall - but there are elevators and two beautiful staircases that make this not a big deal. We loved our day and wish we could relive it again!

What initially made us go with the National Press Club was that much of the most complicated aspects of putting a wedding together are available in-house. You deal with one person who asks the right questions up front, assesses your wants and needs and manages every detail from that point forward. If you’re planning your first wedding (like we were), it’s likely you’re already getting overwhelmed by the realization of how many critical details go into a successful wedding. However, at The Press Club: Reception Catering: Check. Cocktail hour catering: Check. Bar: Check. Tables / chairs / linens / etc. Check. Dance floor: Check. Audio Visual technician: Check. Alphabetizing your table place cards. Check. And so on and so on. All we needed to do was hire a deejay, a wedding photographer, a bakery for the wedding cake and the florist. And on the day of the wedding, the NPC staff took care of getting our vendors in and out and dealing with unexpected logistical issues, which there always are with any large events. The pricing was transparent and the estimate on the banquet order was what we paid. Ok, those are the practical reasons the NPC was a great choice. Now for the aesthetics. The Press Club is quintessential Washington, DC classy. They have multiple rooms that one can rent to customize your wedding experience. Our ceremony took place in the Holeman Lounge which flowed into the First Amendment Lounge, where we had our cocktail hour. The First Amendment Lounge offers stunning views of DC, including the Washington Monument and the east wing of the White House. Our reception took place in The Ballroom. We also had a room for our vendors to stage and a private space for us and the wedding party, which was such a nice touch. Many of our wedding guests were in awe of the NPC. It feels very exclusive and so many of them took the opportunity to take pictures of themselves at the Press Club podium and selfies with the luminaries and historical figures adorning the walls throughout. The service: This is where the National Press Club really stands out. We were blessed to have Renee managing the process from beginning to end. We can’t stress enough the amazing service she provided. She went through every detail with us. Twice just to make sure she captured everything correctly down to how we wanted the napkins folded. Two months before the wedding she put together the most beautiful food tasting experience for us. Before locking in our menu, we tasted a number of appetizers that would be served during cocktail hour as well as the dinner options and desserts. We also tasted a variety of wines. All in all, it was a preview of how fantastic our reception would be, with both the food and the service. The day of, Renee and David took fabulous care of us and our guests. Both really went above and beyond of what we could possibly imagine. During our rehearsal the day before, Renee noticed the wedding party was struggling a little to get the timing of the processional right and she jumped in and helped with our timing and ended up cueing us as to when to start walking the actual day. All of this combined to make our wedding a fabulous experience with zero stress. As positive as this review is, it falls hopelessly short of conveying just how wonderful our experience was.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Fathom Gallery Georgetown, and could not recommend the venue more for any events. The space is a beautiful urban oasis, and the amount of love and care that has gone into planning and designing the gallery is so evident. Fathom is a beautiful, innovative space with so many touches and details which make it special. Emily and Meg were phenomenal contacts for us--they are an incredibly organized team and manage everything efficiently and professionally. If you're thinking about booking a wedding there, do it!

They transformed the ballroom into the perfect dance floor, served amazing food, and incorporated all the specific set-up I asked for. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour hors d'ourves. We loved the food & the tasting session they put together was amazing. We worked with Megan and Alexandra, who walked us through the different blueprints of how the entrance to our reception could be set up with our seating chart, guest book, and special memories display. Throughout the process, Liliana was so professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with. I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests. If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable! In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place. Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company. Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion. I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :)

We primarily worked with Jen, and when we first met her, she was so down to earth and had nothing but love to show to us and for the Mill. We knew instantly that this was where we wanted to get married. Laura and her husband, Don, are also some of the most genuine, kind-hearted people we have ever met! Their communication with us was nothing less than impressive because of how quickly any questions we had were answered. Not to mention, the property is absolutely GORGEOUS. The mill itself is spacious and perfect for our wedding of 100 guests; the outside creek, man-made waterfall, gravel path, and pergola where we got married were stunning in the fall. Also, finding a place in the fall that allowed complete freedom of vendor selection was next to impossible until we found this venue, and we are over the moon with how everything went. From our tour to our big day, HA was different. We knew that the moment we arrived for our tour. I remember looking at my fiancé and beaming during our tour because, without even speaking, we both knew this was it—this was where we’d say “I Do.” The day couldn’t have been more magical. There’s so much stress in the planning process and the day of was the easiest part. My fiancés jacket ripped 20 minutes before the ceremony and one of my bridesmaids lost her bouquet. A sewing kit saved the day and the jacket was quickly fixed, and cocktail hour arrangement was repurposed into a bridesmaid bouquet 10 minutes before the ceremony. Zip tied and ribboned (which was identical to the others). I didn’t even have time to panic before a solution came along. Our Day of Coordinator, Kirsten was always calm, cool, and collected. I never once panicked. Never broke a sweat. Leah, the venue owner, was also there on our big day. Between the two of them, there was zero chance of the day being anything less than amazing. My wife always wanted a wedding, I always wanted to elope. I couldn’t be happier that I let her win that battle. Booking HA was the best decision we made throughout the process. I would do it a million times over. You will never regret booking at HA.

They made the entire process stress free for us. They are so detailed, thorough, reliable, flexible, attentive, professional, and they truly care about their clients experience. It was enjoyable working with them. Dianna & Daryl handled the vendors the day of (as well as coordinated with them leading up to the wedding) which helped alleviate stress from us. They set up all of our decorations and table settings so we didn’t have to worry about any of that. The venue looked magical and turned out exactly how we envisioned our wedding. The venue turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined and the food was SO good! We have used Tenth Ward multiple times for our team meetings and holiday parties, and I have attended many more events and meetings at their beautiful space. The historic wedding venue is woman-owned and features wall-to-wall exposed brick, large industrial windows, and beautiful original hardwood floors. It is on the second floor and requires stairs to access but it is worth the short climb. The staff is very responsive and easy to work with. In addition to business meetings I know they host weddings. I am sure it would be a wonderful venue for this as well!

Historic Shady Lane provided excellent communication throughout our wedding planning process. Their coordinator Caitlyn was very good about keeping us informed and addressing any of our questions or concerns. The venue itself was beautifully stunning, with a gorgeous greenhouse and very spacious reception tent. When it rained on our wedding day, they were quick to accommodate and rearrange the setup so our guests could stay nice and dry inside the greenhouse. They also offered golf cart transportation, which our guests really appreciated. While their preferred vendor list had some great options, we ended up finding an amazing makeup artist that wasn't on their list. Overall, Historic Shady Lane contributed greatly to making our special day unforgettable.

We hosted our wedding reception at Rocklands Farm and I was so happy with the experience! The barn has a rustic elegant ambiance and the surrounding farm and winery is picturesque. Their “corn crib” was ideal for appetizers and a fire pit while guests arrived before being seated, and a bonfire made a great outdoor space for a November wedding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They worked seamlessly with the caterer Simply Fresh and our cake maker. Their day-of coordinator was great, keeping the timeline on schedule effortlessly. This was something I was very stressed about so having it go so smoothly was huge for me. Our photographer Jonalee Earles was able to set up lights etc. ahead of time. One unique aspect was the variety of table decor and signage provided, which I was able to look through and select ahead of time and which fit the ambiance beautifully. It looked amazing and took the pressure off us to bring our own decor. Rocklands made our wedding day truly special. I highly recommend it to any couple looking for a stress-free, gorgeous venue with great staff!

We chose this wedding venue for two main reasons, 1. Having everything in one location which made the day and planning 10x easier! 2. The Terrace. Our wedding day weather could not have been more perfect and guests were able to enjoy the terrace the entire evening. Monica was amazing to work with as was the rest of the staff. Food was delicious, we saw many clean plates while making our rounds. I loved that the spaces themselves were beautiful, so we really didn't need much decor and they had a lot we could borrow (e.g. arch, centerpieces, table numbers). Highly recommend!

The Athenaeum is a beautifully preserved antebellum building, now serving as an art gallery. One of only two remaining examples of Neoclassical Greek Revival architecture in Alexandria, its exterior features an impressive portico supported by soaring Doric columns. Oversized windows bring natural light to the main gallery rooms, which boast 24-foot ceilings, wonderful woodwork, and exposed granite walls lined with rotating art exhibits. Your ceremony can be held in the sweet, private courtyard. This quaint, romantic space has a “secret garden” feel, sheltered from the street by high, vine-covered red brick walls. Please note wheelchair access is available only on the main floor. A/V equipment is available but limited. The Athenaeum is available for viewing during gallery hours or by appointment. Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm. The Athenaeum is closed on holidays. Advance notice for viewing the Athenaeum is appreciated.

We recently had our wedding at the Athenaeum in Old Town Alexandria, and it was a truly special occasion! The venue was just the right size for the wedding we wanted and the style made us think of the place we got engaged, on the Acropolis in Athens. The venue has a lovely indoor gallery space as well as a courtyard and we hat our ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors. A few things you should keep in mind if you are considering the Athenaeum: the space is on the small side, which we liked, but may not suffice for some weddings; you have to choose one of their recommended caterers or pay an added fee (though we were very happy with the caterers we went with and they knew exactly how the venue worked!); the venue does not include anything beyond the actual space, all vendors and services need to be hired separately. For us, this all worked out well and we felt our guests had a great time! The venue also makes for a beautiful backdrop for photos, just make sure to reserve the parking spaces in front of it. Our only minor issue was that the rental manager was not super responsive, but his coworker was, so it wasn't a problem in the end, I just didn't know who to reach out to at first. All in all, we are so happy we got to have our wedding at the Athenaeum! The art on display on the day was cheerful and modern and everything went according to plan. So excited to see more picture and relive the special day!

Miranda and Kristy are absolutely spectacular - they supported my husband and I throughout the whole process. On the day of, everything went SO smoothly thanks to them. They gracefully guided us throughout the day, making sure we were comfortable and that all of our requests and wishes were taken care of. Our guests raved about the venue all night and so did my husband and I! This was the first and ONLY venue we toured because we immediately knew it felt right and had everything we were looking for.
