Riverside on the Potomac was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff was extremely responsive, timely, and direct in their communication, making planning a breeze. The venue itself is simply stunning, with beautiful river views and lush gardens that made for a gorgeous backdrop to our big day. Considering the beautiful setting and high level of service, we felt the pricing was very fair. The team went above and beyond to ensure we could utilize the entire property to bring our vision to life. They took care of every last detail and there wasn't a single hiccup all day or night thanks to their diligent coordination. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and highly recommend Riverside on the Potomac to any couple looking for a beautiful and seamless wedding experience.

Had the most amazing experience and wedding this fall at Dulaneys. The staff is amazing and gives recommendations for vendors that frequent there and their coordinator we had, Maddie, was a god send for an unfortunate event with our original photographer and was in constant communication with us prior to the wedding. Amazing views as well as a great area to get ready in for both guys and girls.

As soon as we arrived, we were so glad that we had chosen Milton Ridge and knew that we had made the right choice. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were with us through every step of our wedding day with lots of support and smiles. The cottage for getting ready is very cute, the chapel is beautiful, and the reception hall is great as well. They have many services included in their various wedding packages like catering, DJ, photographer, and cake. They also have outside vendors that they work with frequently, such as hair and make-up and a florist, who are all wonderful. They are inclusive, and they are supportive of LGBT weddings. My now wife and I are part of the LGBT community, and we were treated very well by the entire team. We were able to have our wedding exactly how we wanted, and they worked with us on every detail. On the day, they had the entire day scheduled and kept us on track, which is actually so necessary and helpful on a day when you're trying to do so many things. If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable! In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place. Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company. Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion. I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :)

Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. If you are looking for an outdoor / garden wedding venue, I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion & Farm. It offers stunning scenery and affordable prices that will fit your budget. There is a charming, vintage bridal cottage and a mancave that brides and grooms can use and enjoy while getting ready separately for the day. I especially love the ceremony area; there are these gorgeous Egyptian doors the bride walks through to walk down the aisle. These types of doors are rare for an outdoor space. The tent for the reception is beautiful and has a unique brick patio area. But I think my favorite part about this venue is all the different little areas on the property, including the gaming area and a bird sanctuary that are so unique. There is a formal garden, a game area, a swing, and even a firepit for making smores. There are just so many places to take beautiful pictures, which I think is important to capture on such an important day. You can really get so much on your wedding day for such reasonable prices. Finally, Debbie the owner, really works with you in many ways.

We booked a tour with Cold Saturday Farm on a whim, but holy cow am I glad that we did! We met with Brittany on a pretty dreary day in the winter, and even then I could see the beauty in the venue. It truly is a blank canvas that you can really make your own. Plus, the venue checked all the boxes that were super important to us: onsite getting ready spaces for both us, free onsite parking, guest tables and chairs included, and access to the venue all day. For the price, it was a great value. Brittany did end up leaving Cold Saturday, and we do wish that had been proactively communicated to us, but her replacement, Meredith, was fantastic, especially because she started the week before our wedding (I'm pretty sure we were her first wedding at the venue). But she was incredibly helpful and friendly--we actually had guests come up to us and tell us how awesome she was! The only other thing I wish we had known ahead of time was that the getting ready room the guys used didn't have any furniture. It was still being worked on during our tours, so we didn't actually see the room until the day of. So the room may have furniture at some point. Overall, we loved Cold Saturday Farm. It is truly a hidden gem (none of our vendors have ever worked there before but all of them said they loved it), so I really love that it was a pretty unique and beautiful place to have our wedding.

Melissa and Patricia were absolutely fantastic. From my very first conversation with Patricia I knew I had to have my wedding at River creek. Patricia was so accommodating on making specific adjustments and was so professional and responsive the entire process. Shortly after finalizing everything is when I was in contact with Melissa. Melissa is honestly so incredibly sweet, professional, and 100000% a rockstar. The entire planning process was so smooth I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Melissa. My mom and friends continue to text each other in our group chat going on and on about how perfect the day was and how amazing Melissa was. The Christian Royer House was the best venue for my wedding! What Michelle & Jerry offer for their couples goes above and beyond anything else I've seen offered by other wedding venues & owners. They provide decorations, ceremony centerpieces, two separate floors for the bridal party to get ready, a honeymoon cabin, and a detailed planner with tips and tricks to help you plan a wedding according to their venue. The venue is gorgeous and the fountain in the background made the ceremony so peaceful and romantic. When we found this venue on Zola, we immediately wanted to view it. They were super quick to respond and were very informative of what to expect. They were upfront of cost and what was included. The scheduling was very streamlined. The day of coordinator, Erin was very helpful and wonderful. The food was absolutely out of this world! I CANNOT say enough great things about Clyde's!!! I really wanted to keep things as simple and efficient as possible buy getting a venue that would be what I would consider to be "all inclusive" in terms of reception necessities (tables, chairs, food, silverware, glassware, dishes, linens, etc.). CHECK! I also really wanted our wedding reception to have an elevated simple yet elegant garden party aesthetic. DOUBLE CHECK! Plus, I used to show horses and am an avid equestrian, so the fact that they have an equestrian theme was just the icing atop of the cake! When we first went to look at the space, I fell in love with it! We ended up reserving the outdoor terrace for the reception and also. the two rooms upstairs for our wedding party to get ready in. The outdoor terrace was absolutely gorgeous and the reflecting pool was just spectacular! Having the rooms upstairs to get ready was great because then we had a place to escape and also to leave our belongings safely and securely. When getting ready, they had the waitstaff come upstairs and we could order anything off of the brunch menu. That was a lot of fun and made everything so relaxed and enjoyable! Tara and Keeley were absolutely fantastic! Super professional, super quick with responses, and great upbeat personalities! They really helped make our wedding day so spectacular! Another bonus, since we reserved the outdoor garden terrace, they also reserved and indoor option for us as well for a rain plan - FREE OF CHARGE! Everyone at the wedding was saying how great the food was, the atmosphere, the staff, everything was superb! I honestly can't think of anything I would change. I can't say enough great things about Clyde's I HIGHLY recommend them! I will definitely be recommending them to anyone looking for a venue for a wedding or any event, as they have so many different options for event spaces!! Go check out Clyde's NOW!! If you are looking for a relaxed, charming and absolutely beautiful venue than this is the place! The house was built in the late 1700s and is chock full of beautiful antiques (and a super fun secret staircase!). There are multiple areas on the farm that can be used for a ceremony spot, photo ops and/or lovely hang spots! There are also chickens and goats roaming freely. Additionally Liz and her family were incredibly helpful. Liz went out of her way to help me fix some issues that were beyond my control and on the day of the wedding was at the ready to help with whatever we found we needed. Being able to have the farm the whole weekend was also a major plus. Ballenger Farm will forever have a special place in my heart, it was truly the best place to have such a memorable event and I look forward to going back one day.

As soon as we took a tour of the Atrium, we knew this was the perfect spot to get married. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside the building the glass walls, plants, and little river give an airy and natural feel. I didn't worry about rain because you feel like you're outside even when you're in. When guests got too hot on the dance floor, they could go out and socialize on the patio overlooking the gardens in the cool night air. Given the meal prices for comparable venues, this venue is GREAT VALUE!! The food was great and the guests were happy. There were a couple small things that might be helpful to share, though. Our point of contact changed several times in the span of our engagement and there was sometimes a delay in communication. Also, the venue was marketed as a capacity of 200 people but it is better suited to weddings of 160-180 guests. When you go over 180, you have to choose some guests to seat in a room that feels divided by the little stream which is awkward. Also, there is no space for getting ready so brides and bridesmaids have to get ready off-site. Overall, I was overjoyed with having my wedding day here and I think for the price we still had an incredible experience. I don't regret it at all!!

We decided on the Tower Club to hold our 40th wedding anniversary party at and it exceeded our expectations! The venue was very impressive with amazing views on all sides of the Washington DC metro area. Our guests enjoyed being able to spend the cocktail hour either inside or on the outdoor wrap-around terrace on the 17th floor. The drinks were varied (including cocktails like mojitos) and the food was perfectly done and delicious. The space allowed our guests to transition easily between the dining room to the vestibule which contained the bar and dance floor. The evening went off without a hitch and our guests stayed till closing as they were having such a good time. Of particular note was our event executive, Ms. Lindsay Rhoades. She was very welcoming and easy to talk with, listening carefully to our vision of the event and making appropriate suggestions. It was her wonderful personality that initially impressed us. During the process leading up to the event, Lindsay was always on top of the preparations, was able to answer all our questions and make requested adjustments to our plans for the event. We are very glad we chose the Tower Club for our event and would put them first on our list for any future events or parties.

Hosting our wedding at Mess Hall was one of the best decisions we made! The space is just what we wanted: industrial chic near the MBT with a covered outdoor area and access to amazing food. As a culinary incubator, they have a ton of great vendors on site, and while you don’t have to use one of their partners, that was a huge draw to us because we wanted to support small business and do something different than the standard chicken/fish/vegetable offering you get from most wedding caterers (shoutout to Kam & 46 for incredible Hawaiian/Filipino food!). While there was some staff turnover during the planning process, Al’s consistency and guidance gave us confidence that everything would run smoothly on the day of. The space is very customizable, it’s easy to choose what kind of furniture and lighting you want, plus the digital screen and sound system (both indoors and outdoors), helped us fully transform the space to achieve everything we envisioned. Our only concerns during the planning process was the size of our party – we had over 120 attend – so we didn’t do the traditional assigned seats and tables, but nevertheless there was plenty of seating space indoors and outdoors, it didn’t feel too crowded at all, and there was never a line for the two single-stall bathrooms the entire night. Not only was the space great, but the service was superior. During our wedding reception, Al was incredibly attentive to us and anticipated our needs even before we did. For example, he regularly offered to fetch us drinks from the bar when he saw us finishing our beers and when he saw one of standing with friends, he immediately brought over a standing table so we could rest our food and drinks. Our guests were really impressed when we told them he was the owner of Mess Hall. I’m sure there’s a lot of things he did that we didn’t even see – all of which helped our wedding go smoothly. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Mess Hall and hope you will be too!

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.
