As soon as we arrived, we were so glad that we had chosen Milton Ridge and knew that we had made the right choice. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were with us through every step of our wedding day with lots of support and smiles. The cottage for getting ready is very cute, the chapel is beautiful, and the reception hall is great as well. They have many services included in their various wedding packages like catering, DJ, photographer, and cake. They also have outside vendors that they work with frequently, such as hair and make-up and a florist, who are all wonderful. They are inclusive, and they are supportive of LGBT weddings. My now wife and I are part of the LGBT community, and we were treated very well by the entire team. We were able to have our wedding exactly how we wanted, and they worked with us on every detail. On the day, they had the entire day scheduled and kept us on track, which is actually so necessary and helpful on a day when you're trying to do so many things. We LOVED having our wedding at Woodend! Beatriz was so helpful and answered all of our questions, as well as keeping us updated as the tent set up changed over this past year. The new tent is gorgeous and the whole venue is so gorgeous, including the grounds! We were happy to keep our decor minimal and let the mansion’s beauty shine, and we got so many compliments on the venue’s set up of having the dance space (Main Hall) separated from the dinner seating (tent). We also loved Woodend’s gorgeous property, which really shined for our late October wedding. Would fully recommend considering Woodend for your wedding - plenty of parking, beautiful space, great team, and your venue fee goes to a great charitable cause.

Kate and all the Viceroy staff were awesome and available to guide as we hosted a small, socially distance and intimate wedding reception. She was always available and flexible. She is the most awesome ambassador for the Viceroy hotels. The hotel was new and well maintained and we loved the outdoor patio where we held our reception. If you are looking a place to host a small outdoor wedding and or reception definitely consider the Viceroy. They heard our concerns and made sure our safety and the safety of our guests was paramount. The food was amazing, definitely try the chicken sandwich!

Hosting our wedding at Mess Hall was one of the best decisions we made! The space is just what we wanted: industrial chic near the MBT with a covered outdoor area and access to amazing food. As a culinary incubator, they have a ton of great vendors on site, and while you don’t have to use one of their partners, that was a huge draw to us because we wanted to support small business and do something different than the standard chicken/fish/vegetable offering you get from most wedding caterers (shoutout to Kam & 46 for incredible Hawaiian/Filipino food!). While there was some staff turnover during the planning process, Al’s consistency and guidance gave us confidence that everything would run smoothly on the day of. The space is very customizable, it’s easy to choose what kind of furniture and lighting you want, plus the digital screen and sound system (both indoors and outdoors), helped us fully transform the space to achieve everything we envisioned. Our only concerns during the planning process was the size of our party – we had over 120 attend – so we didn’t do the traditional assigned seats and tables, but nevertheless there was plenty of seating space indoors and outdoors, it didn’t feel too crowded at all, and there was never a line for the two single-stall bathrooms the entire night. Not only was the space great, but the service was superior. During our wedding reception, Al was incredibly attentive to us and anticipated our needs even before we did. For example, he regularly offered to fetch us drinks from the bar when he saw us finishing our beers and when he saw one of standing with friends, he immediately brought over a standing table so we could rest our food and drinks. Our guests were really impressed when we told them he was the owner of Mess Hall. I’m sure there’s a lot of things he did that we didn’t even see – all of which helped our wedding go smoothly. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Mess Hall and hope you will be too!

Exquisite and budget-friendly, they generously provided us with an entire day to revel in the celebration of my girlfriend's birthday. We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

There are so many positive things I could say about this place that it’s hard for me to know where to start, so I’ll break it up into categories. VALUE: At this point, I’ve researched just about every wedding venue that exists in northern Virginia, so I can say that The Tower Club is one of a kind in offering an upscale wedding experience for a much lower price point than several of their competitors. You can save additional money by having your ceremony offsite, which is what we did. LOCATION: The Tower Club is located right by major highways and a metro station, and allows you to book a generously discounted room block with the Tysons Corner Marriott hotel, which is within walking distance of the venue. All these factors make this the perfect choice if you have lots of guests traveling from out of town. As for the venue itself, it’s absolutely stunning. Between the glass ceiling, huge windows, and wraparound balcony, you get tons of natural light, as well as a panoramic view of northern Virginia and DC. We even took our wedding photos here after our original location fell through, and they turned out gorgeously. FOOD: Again, the value of what you get for the price is excellent. All food is freshly prepared in The Tower Club’s onsite kitchen, and you cannot go wrong with any of their menu selections. The food here is so delicious that we had a very hard time deciding what to serve, and our guests raved about their meals. They are also very diligent about accommodating dietary restrictions and food allergies, which was especially important for me and my family. STAFF: Everyone I have interacted with through The Tower Club has demonstrated above and beyond customer service. Lindsay Rhoades worked with me every step of the way, from the very first tour to the final walkthrough. She is unfailingly friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to contact with questions and concerns, which alleviated so much stress on my end. She worked tirelessly to ensure that every single detail of my wedding was nothing less than perfect. Desirae, the manager in charge of my reception the day of, also did an excellent job ensuring that everything ran smoothly and attending to my husband’s and I’s every anticipated need. If you’re currently planning a smaller-sized wedding in the DC area, The Tower Club is, without a doubt, a must-see venue.

Let me start with District Winery is a fabulous wedding venue! For starters, it is gorgeous inside and out with a besutiful waterfront location. That alone wooed us, but the real wooing came from Latoria, the DW sales manager, who was fantastic to work with. She was incredibly patient answering all of our many questions before we signed the contract and afterwards letting us know the next steps. Another fantastic aspect of weddings at DW is that they assign you an event manager - and now this is where the big, huge thanks come into play. Samantha was absolutely incredible to work with! She was our event manager and left no detail unaccounted for. From our first email exchange to our final walkthrough and then the final, final details, she answered every question and ensured everything was set and ready to go. She is very detail oriented and the spreadsheet she gave us to complete with all of our decor, dietary restrictions, etc. ensured fantastic organization and that everyone was on the same page. Day-of, I could not believe how perfectly everything turned out with our decor, flowers, and food. The food at DW is fantastic - if you haven’t been yet for a visit - go! Everyone knows that you don’t go to a wedding and expect great food and wine, but that is not the case here at DW. After our unbelievable tasting night (which was just insanely awesome), we had to narrow down our favorites which was hard to do!One of my favorite aspects of a wedding is cocktail hour and they delighted with the passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations (including a cheese tower), and bar! Also, as my husband and I keep saying- the best money we spent was on the gorgeous and fun champagne tower! Obviously, I can’t say enough great things about our wedding at District Winery. If we could do it all over again, we would and we wouldn’t change a thing! Huge thanks to Samantha and District Winery for making our dream day come true!

The Wharf Dockmaster Building is located at the end of District Pier and your rental includes the space on the pier around it. You have wrap around balconies and 270 degree views of the river and boats, plus the Washington Monument. Your rental gives you the building for the day so you can do any advance decorating, load in etc. It is unfurnished space – typically your caterer will coordinate tables, chairs etc. and help you design the look you want. Our inside capacity is typically 100 seated dinner style or 140-150 standing cocktail style.
