If you're thinking "is this worth it?" or "do I really need a planner?" or even, "I can do this all myself." ...you maaaybe can, but if you want your day to be utterly spectacular - hire Allie. I can't stress enough the importance of hiring someone like her. Our entire day was magic because of her and her CityLux team. We started out our journey with a clear goal, but it all felt a bit daunting. Allie was with us from start to finish (top to bottom planning and day-of!) and made every step along the way incredible. She was prompt, professional, honest, and kind. It's hard to find vendors that are as "on their game." There were times that we were completely at a loss for what was next and she always communicated with clarity so we felt comfortable and prepared to make decisions. There were sooooo many details only she could have thought of. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are 3 more things Allie was thinking of. I constantly said, "oh wow.. I didnt even think of that." Like coordinating bus routes and timing that out... no thank you! We felt like it was all under control because of her meticulous documentation, flawless communication with our other vendors, and emergency plans she put in motion behind the scenes. MOST importantly, she makes sure you can focus on your day and nothing else. From the napkins, to the placecards, to our grass wall, to our place settings, to the drink signs, and everything else in between, it was all so complete and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Not to mention, she professionally vetoed some of our ideas, and finding someone who knows what's realistic and what's not is hard to find. I've recommended her to ALL my friends and every time I get rave reviews. Don't go it alone throughout this process. Go with Allie and go with CityLux! Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. “I first heard about Abibi Bridal when I was assisting my best friend CakedbyMel assemble a wedding cake in New Hampshire in September 2023. Mind you, I was visiting my best friend in Boston for the weekend because it was her birthday. I live in New York, so I took a flight to Boston to spend time with her. “My husband and I planned a very big wedding in a very short time frame. It was not an easy feat at all, and Mailyse did a phenomenal job. She was a God sent! We took a chance on her as ours was the first wedding she had planned in Charleston (even though she had extensive wedding planning experience in the Northeast). She planned the most incredible, detail oriented wedding. I had so many compliments on how well the wedding was planned and that people were impressed by how well we paid attention to every little detail. Mailyse’s attention to detail and organization was admirable. I trusted her suggestions with every decision from design to budget to everything in between. When I spilled steak sauce all over my dress, Mailyse was there in a second with fabric wipes. When I started to feel indigestion after dinner, Mailyse had tums ready for me.
