Elevating the art of weddings into a three-day celebration of love, The Arnold House redefines the wedding experience, offering a personalized approach tailored to you. Our curated wedding weekends are available for every season and designed for couples who yearn for more than just a single day of festivities. Peak season is considered mid May through the end of October and requires a minimum of 120 guests and a maximum of 200 guests. Vanderbilt Lakeside offers thoughtfully curated stays and events in a welcoming gathering space, with custom in-house food and bar packages. Charming, versatile, and ideal for group getaways, retreats, and celebrations of all sizes—from intimate dinner parties, to large scale gatherings and bespoke weddings. ​ The space itself is a newly redesigned, large (6000 SF) house. It was originally built in the 1800s. The outdoor areas can also be incorporated for your event--our deck and yard are completely open-air; you would be welcome to work with a third-party rental company to have a tent set up, if of interest. The Edison Downtown is a brand new wedding and event venue in downtown Schenectady and established in 2021. The venue is exclusively catered and owned by Seasons Catering where they are excited to begin hosting events. This venue holds the history from when Thomas Edison came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and when he combined it into the Edison General Electric company in 1889. After - the building transformed into the Schenectady Gazette headquarters. In our renovations - we have kept the history and charm of the building with the original printing press from 1894 and our exposed brick interior.
