From an intimate, low key affair to a large, glamorous party, we are here to help make your dream wedding come true. Our weekend wedding package includes rental of the entire property for 3 full days and indoor accommodations for up to 37 guests (21 beds) plus up to 15 tents in our campground. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time on Friday and leave on Sunday. This gives you the opportunity, for example, to host a welcome dinner on Friday night, have the main event on Saturday, and enjoy a goodbye brunch on Sunday. Why rent a venue by the hour where your wedding is a blur, when you can spend the entire weekend celebrating with friends and family in a gorgeous setting?

Description

Rental of the entire property from Friday to Sunday, including all accommodations except for the Main House and Recording Studios. Couples usually host a welcome dinner Friday night, the main event on Saturday and a goodbye brunch on Sunday. Sleeping for up to 75 people on-site in 28 beds plus camping. 2 Sound Systems. 2 staff members on-call throughout the weekend. Help prior to the event with planning and sourcing. Complimentary 2 night stay prior to the event for planning.

    We found The Outlier after touring multiple upstate venues that felt too uptight for our taste: early curfews, noise restrictions, limited configurations and design options, and rules about the number of guests who could be on the property. All understandable, but not what we were looking for. When we found The Outlier, we knew it was different. Tucked in the woods off the beaten path of the Catskills, it was more or less a blank canvas for us to make our own for a full weekend of wedding activities. The property is rustic and beautiful, and it doesn't feel like a wedding venue at all (in a good way). There are some farm animals, gardens, a world-class recording studio, a big geodesic dome, a barrel sauna and wood-fired hot tub, and little houses and cabins all around. The owner, Josh, is probably the most chill venue owner to exist upstate. He allowed all our requests, including bringing up our own sound system and playing it (at a reasonable volume) until dawn. He was pretty quick to answer all of our questions leading up to the wedding, he had excellent vendor recommendations, and he was present and helpful the whole weekend without being overbearing. The most important thing to know about The Outlier is that it really is a blank canvas, so it's ideal for people who want to get creative and don't mind renting/buying everything needed to build it out: tents, lighting, tables, chairs, servingware, flatware, glassware, etc. Also there's no indoor space that can comfortably hold more than 50 people, so all the group activities will be outside or tented. That said, The Outlier did offer some lovely elements that we built our weekend around: 1. Rustic open-air pavilion in a gorgeous grove where we held our ceremony 2. Outdoor kitchen pizza oven where we hosted all three meals (Friday dinner, Sat dinner, Sun brunch) 3. Modern and rustic accommodations that slept 50 of our guests. (Be aware that modern accommodations are limited and the rustic options have no indoor plumbing.) 4. A permanent "sail" hung in a stand of trees and a bunch of long tables that can be moved underneath it for dining. We rented another tent and set of tables next to it to accommodate our 80 guests. As DIY people with helpful, creative friends, we loved our wedding at The Outlier and can't wait to return to the property for visits.

    Words cannot describe how special The Outlier Inn is. The owner, Josh, has poured his hard work and love into every inch of the property and it shows. There are multiple gathering areas and plenty of lodging on property for guests. The space alone is beautiful while also allowing for you to customize it in your own way. The property exudes magic with its inviting nature, the perfect place to celebrate your love. Our guests have not stopped talking about how unique our wedding at the Outlier was. Thank you, Josh!
