The Edison Downtown is a brand new wedding and event venue in downtown Schenectady and established in 2021. This venue holds the history from when Thomas Edison came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and when he combined it into the Edison General Electric company in 1889. The West Mountain Inn was originally built as a farmhouse in 1809. From 1880 to 1920, first a gristmill and then a lumber mill were operated on the Battenkill River at the foot of the mountain. In 1904 Ned and Gwendolyn Rochester purchased the 150 acre farm and began to transform it into an elegant summer estate. After a succession of other residents the estate later became an arts and retreat center.

For more than ten years, Quonquont Farm has cultivated a reputation for generous hospitality, elegant occasions, and evenings your guests will rave about for years to come. We also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with the option to host an inside ceremony as well.
