About this venue
Hosting weddings and celebrations for over 45 years - from intimate elopements to 300-person weekend affairs. The seclusion and beauty of our 150-acre mountainside setting with its breathtaking views, classic 100 year-old barn, creative farm-to-table dining, and personal service provide the best that Vermont has to offer. Hosting your wedding here at the Inn allows you a perfect blend of elegance and charm, offering an exclusive experience tailored to your unique vision. A full-weekend destination, our caring and experienced staff is dedicated to making your wedding as seamless and beautiful as possible. We offer 17 rooms and suites at our inn, comfortably accommodating up to 50 guests. Your wedding can take place in a variety of stunning settings, from our historic barn, ideal for receptions of up to 200 guests, to our beautiful meadow lawn, which can be tented to host up to 300 guests.

The romantic, rustic, elegant barn of your Vermont wedding dreams!
The Barn at West Mountain Inn was originally built by the Rochester family in 1900. Still in its original state with wide-plank oak floors, aged-cedar siding, windows on all sides and a 2 ½- story open floor plan interior – the Barn was built for the ages. With the addition of a few modern amenities, the Barn has been re-imagined as the perfect romantic, rustic and elegant space to host weddings and events of all kinds.

Tented Wedding on the Meadow

If your dream day includes a classic white wedding tent, our beautiful grounds are the perfect setting to dine and dance the night away. We coordinate wedding tent rental, set up and decor so you can create a beautiful outdoor space for your celebration. We have several garden and meadow settings for your tented wedding depending our your party size and preferences.

A Gorgeous Winter Wedding!
We feel so lucky to have found the West Mountain Inn for our wedding. We first visited about a year before our wedding and immediately felt like it would be the perfect place for our special day. We were greeted by the resident golden retrievers, who followed us on our tour. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll be very happy with this venue! But really, it was Amie, Mary Beth and the rest of the staff who sold us. We immediately felt like they cared about making your day as perfect as possible for us, which was very welcome after touring other venues which felt like they wanted to squeeze every penny from us. After we decided on the venue, Amie was so willing to work with people like us who wanted to plan every detail possible. Amie answered all of my questions and sent additional information like floor plans so I could plan who was assigned to each room as soon as possible. Her communication over email was so incredible helpful! We absolutely loved that we could have so many guests staying at the inn and knew that would be perfect for our winter wedding. Next came our tasting, which was such a fun event. There are two tastings a year, both in March (though I think you could have a private tasting if you need). We loved being able to stay at the inn for a night and meet all of the other couples getting married here within the year. As our wedding was in February, we had to wait a long time between the tasting and trying the food again, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Chef Jeff did an amazing job with our welcome party, breakfast and lunch the day of the wedding, the absolutely amazing wedding dinner (and late night snacks), and brunch the next morning! We heard that most couples have a hard time eating during their weddings, but we cleaned our plates! Definitely try the butternut squash ravioli, it is incredible! We had our ceremony in the barn, then moved to the bar in the inn for cocktail hour, then dinner in the dining room, and dancing in the living room. They take out the big pieces of living room furniture and move some chairs to the side for dancing. A lot of my family was skeptical about that, but the inn knows what they’re doing!! The dance floor was plenty big for our party of 60 (and I’m sure it could have accommodate larger groups), and the chairs on the sides were a huge hit! It was incredible to be able to sit down for a minute and still feel like you’re a part of the party. I know a lot of our guests enjoyed that as well. We got ready in the Norman Rockwell suite, which worked out well since we had a small bridal party. We also loved getting to see all the rooms in the inn - every room is thought out so well and has little details that are so fun to find! We thought the inn was what made our wedding weekend so magical and cannot wait to visit again on anniversaries or other special occasions. Thank you so much to the entire team - we are so grateful to you!
Perfect Wedding!
We had the perfect wedding at the West Mountain Inn! The venue is gorgeous, accommodating, and extremely well organized, all thanks to Amie and her wonderful team. Our family and friends are still raving about the venue (and food, and alpacas) almost a year later. Amie is a dream to work with. She is responsive, makes helpful suggestions, and brings a calm to the entire process. There's a lot of flexibility offered, but we also very much appreciated guidance on how a typical package or wedding went at the Inn (they've thought of everything). You feel welcomed and at ease in this beautiful space. Looking back, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have such a helpful team be part of the venue. We can't recommend this venue enough!
Hidden gem of a venue!
Having our wedding at the West Mountain Inn was the best decision we could have made! Not only is it gorgeous with beautiful views of the mountains, beautiful flowers, and unique rooms for each of our guests, but Amie (the inn's owner and wedding coordinator) was amazing to work with. She was so knowledgable and always answered all of my many questions immediately. The food from the entire weekend was also spectacular and we had many compliments on it all weekend! Each and every staff member from the inn welcomed our family and friends as though they were their own and made my husband and I feel so special and cared for the entire weekend. Thank you to everyone from the West Mountain Inn for making our wedding weekend the best of our lives! We highly recommend this location as a venue and will be returning every year for our anniversary!
