The building dates back to 1837, a three-level structure which was built by William Nelson. Peekskill lawyer, Congressman, and friend to Abraham Lincoln. A small stage, built on the 3rd floor in 1870, was identified as the “Dramatic Hall.” This emblematic building had been abandoned for about 20 years and fallen into disrepair until 2012, a complete renovation took place restoring the 1870-era theater. Situated on the estate of renowned horticulturist and philanthropist Frank Bailey, Bailey Arboretum offers nature-inspired outdoor space for wedding ceremonies and receptions on Long Island's North Shore. The former estate house of Frank Bailey called “Munnysunk”, was originally built sometime in the 1800’s. After Frank purchased the property, he hired Craig Severance to renovate it, keeping the country charm of this neocolonial home.
