About this venue
The Candlewood Inn is a stunning waterfront venue located in Brookfield, CT. Imagine your ceremony overlooking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills, a sunset cocktail reception on the lakefront lawn, and a gorgeous ballroom with arched windows allowing natural light and stunning views of the shimmering lake. Crystal chandeliers adorn the ballroom and cast a warm glow over the festivities. Our event team has more than 20 years of experience on property and will design a beautiful celebration for you and your partner. Led by our Executive Chef and in-house culinary team, the reception package offers a five-hour event with a premium open bar, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour stations, plated dinner or dinner stations, tiered cake and coffee. Our team is eager to help you create the perfect event, and will pull out all the stops to ensure a flawless and fabulous night.

Vows can be exchanged on the lawns, where tranquil water, breathtaking views and lake breezes will create an enchanting experience. Following your ceremony, guests have an easy transition into your cocktail reception as they are greeted with passed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the terrace and lawn. Watch the sunset over the rolling hills and relax with live music or have fun with lawn games until the festivities inside begin!

Enjoy the comforts of an elegant ballroom with the natural beauty of the shimmering lake, rolling hills and breathtaking sunsets.
The ballroom features eight-foot arched picture windows which bathe the floor in natural light and provide stunning views of the lake. Crystal chandeliers also adorn the room and cast a warm glow over the festivities. As candlelight bounces off the stunning glassware and tablescape, your guests will enjoy a fabulous meal created by our in-house culinary team. And don't forget a cocktail from our original 1940's stunning mahogany bar.

Look no further!
Christian and the team at the Candlewood Inn are absolutely top notch! We had our dream wedding there this past November and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the venue tour to the day of our wedding, and every planning call and email in between, everyone was so attentive, responsive, and helpful. Their attention to detail is unmatched. They made sure our day ran smoothly and most of all, that we were able to enjoy the day. We absolutely did knowing we were in such good hands. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food, the view, and the friendly staff. We highly recommend the Candlewood Inn!
Wedding at Candlewood November 2024
We had our wedding at Candlewood and were blown away! Krista, Connor, and all of the Candlewood staff were wonderful to work with from start to finish, they really worked with us to make our dreams for the day come true and we could not be more grateful. The service staff day of were beyond attentive, not only to us as the bride and groom, but to everyone of our guests. All our guests have been raving about the excellent food and service they received. Perfect in every way, we could not be more happy with how our day turned out. We are so grateful to the team at Candlewood!
Wedding of dreams
I don’t think I could say enough wonderful things about Candlewood Inn and their team. Simply put our day was perfection. Krista and her team made sure everything was as we wanted it and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our bridal attendants Mary and Leslie were the true fairy godmothers of the day making sure myself (the bride) and the rest of our bridal party had everything they needed at all time. The communication throughout the process coming up to the wedding and on the day was absolutely flawless. We felt truly cared for which can be hard to find with the amount of weddings that are done. The venue itself was beautiful, you cant quite beat the views on that lake, and so that alone makes it so special. The food was spectacular, us and our guests could not get over how delicious everything was. The staff throughout the night was so professional and kind, and made sure our guests were cared for as well. We loved having the time alone right after the ceremony with all of the appetizers we had picked just to have a bite to eat and take a moment to reflect on being married! It was so special and I attribute that to the work the Candlewood team put in. I would recommend this venue to everyone and anyone that just wants a beautifully run day. I already cant wait for one of our friends to get married here too!
The perfect venue!
My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to The Candlewood Inn and their amazing team! Krista, the event manager, was truly outstanding from day one! From the planning process to the big day, she made everything so seamless and stress-free. Her attention to detail and calm demeanor were such a comfort, and she made sure every moment went off without a hitch. The staff at Candlewood was phenomenal—so polite, attentive, and professional. They were always on point, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. And the food? Absolutely DELICIOUS! Our guests are still raving about it. I have a food allergy, and they were so accommodating, making sure everything was safe for me to eat! The venue itself was stunning, especially the beautiful lake view, which created the most breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and photos. It added so much to the magic of the day! We are beyond grateful for the team at Candlewood Inn and the perfect day they helped us create!
