The Hotel John Marshall opened in 1929 as the largest hotel in Virginia. This charming property offers guests a number of beautiful garden spaces and manicured lawns to host your once-in-a-lifetime event. Famously known as the childhood home of Thomas Jefferson, the 18th-century house and outbuildings provide a fascinating backdrop for outdoor celebrations. The venue at Historic Tuckahoe is the ideal setting for your long-awaited celebration. A pet-friendly venue, Tuckahoe offers many spaces, including a ceremony site and several reception areas. Both sides of the wedding party have access to "get-ready rooms," in the Historic Main House and the Old Stable. Also included a chauffeured golf cart shuttle for guests, grounds lighting, power & water, and restroom facilities for up to 100 guests. Inspired by his poem "To One in Paradise," the Museum's Enchanted Garden was created in 1922 to pay tribute to this passion. The Gardens at the Poe Museum are the convergence of many aspects of the history and culture of Richmond. The landscape captures the romance and mystery of Poe's work while also paying homage to the southern tradition of gardening.
