I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible work of Jasmin. From the moment we began planning, she made the entire process not only manageable but enjoyable. Jasmin's expertise, creativity, and attention to detail transformed our vision into a breathtaking reality. Throughout the planning process, she kept us on track with deadlines and ensured that every aspect of our wedding was meticulously planned and executed. Her organization and efficiency alleviated so much stress, allowing us to truly savor the excitement of our impending nuptials. One of the most remarkable aspects of working with Jasmin was her ability to take inspiration from our Pinterest board and bring it to life in ways we never imagined possible. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, reflected our style and personality perfectly. She collaborated seamlessly with our other vendors, ensuring that everything flowed seamlessly on the day of the event. Thanks to her expertise and guidance, our wedding day surpassed our wildest dreams. I trusted Jasmin with every decision I made and frequently seeked her advice. I was engaged for two years so we had loads of communication via emails, phone calls, and meeting in person. Jasmin handled it all with grace and ease. I felt like she was truly invested in our wedding weekend and making it beautiful. My brother made a lot of our decor and there was a lot I wanted to do on my own Jasmin worked with us both to make sure everything was cohesive and flowed. I cannot recommend Jasmin highly enough to anyone looking for an event designer who will not only make planning a breeze but will also exceed all expectations in bringing your vision to life. Thank you for making our special day truly magical!

We were absolutely delighted with O' Heavenly Cake, Baker for our wedding cake. From our first consultation, they were extremely professional and responsive in communication. We never had to wait more than a few hours for a reply to any of our questions by email or phone, which really put us at ease during the busy wedding planning process. Most importantly, the cake itself was delicious and looked absolutely beautiful on our wedding day. The decorations were intricate and elegant, exactly matching the vision I had described to them. Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Big Indian, NY

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy was a pleasure to work with from the very first interaction I had with her. She is full of joy and excitement about her work and it really comes through. We are extremely happy with both the engagement photos and our wedding photos—especially the photos of our reception. She captured the joy and excitement of the day so incredibly well. Looking through the albums allowed us to relive the day together and gave us so many fun snaps of our guests enjoying the party. Neither of us are comfortable in front of a camera, but she somehow managed to help us relax and enjoy the experience, making the pictures even more beautiful. Cappy was there for every important moment of our day without being overwhelming. We all laughed with her during the posed shots of our family and bridal party and she managed to somehow work her way around the dance floor seamlessly to get the most amazing pictures of the party. Being able to see these and share them with family and friends has brought us so much joy and laughter. Cappy is incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with—zero drama and all smiles. She was on time with everything, including the turnaround of the albums. She brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, Teresa, who was also amazing and they made a GREAT team. We would recommend her work to anyone!

My now wife and I rented Revel 32's space for our wedding party and not only did we love it, but our guest are still complimenting the place , 2 weeks later. The design is modern yet elegant, and the service is top notch. Bianca and Judy were attentive, flexible, insightful and worked hard to make our wedding day beautiful. I'm a bridal & special event makeup artist with an amazing team of artists and hair stylists to accommodate all your glam needs for your big day. My studio is based in Hudson Valley, NY and I travel all across NY, NJ, PA, and CT for on-site services. My most frequented venues include The Barn at Villa Venezia, West Hills Country Club, Stagecoach Inn, Glenmere Mansion, New York Country Club, Perona Farms, Arrow Park, FEAST at Round Hill, Bear Brook Valley, Red Maple Vineyard, The Estates at Florentine Gardens, The Rockleigh, and Rock Island Lake Club.

Jena is phenomenal! I truly feel so lucky that I found her for my wedding day. From the moment I inquired, she was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. It's clear how much she loves what she does! As someone that doesn't typically wear a lot of makeup, I wanted to look like myself on my big day. Jena respected my wishes and delivered the soft glam look of my dreams! In addition to applying my bridal makeup, she also performed 8 other make up services including my bridesmaids and moms. Everyone looked amazing and the makeup really shined in pictures and throughout the entire day (over 12 hours for some)! Not only is Jena amazing at her job, she is also so friendly and fun to talk to! Thank you Jena :)

Love, Lucy Photography

Two Upper West Siders. Twenty blocks apart. How had we not crossed paths before? Or did we? Well, after finally matching on Hinge we made that happen and the rest is history! We have combined families and now as a family of 7 (three dogs, two cats) we have become an unstoppable force. We both share the same passion for photography, capturing the beauty all around us and making magic happen. Our dog Lucy, embodies love, kindness and poise. We couldn’t imagine naming our business after anyone but her. That’s how Love, Lucy Photography came to be.

Not only are they both lovers of Taylor Swift (so am I so we had lots to chat about!) Bethany and Raquel are phenomenal photographers/people in general and you shouldn’t hesitate to book them. I’ve recommended them to basically everyone I know getting married or has even the most distant of plans to get married. They go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of photographers and genuinely love documenting love. I hope to book them for literally anything in the future. They were the very first vendor we booked in our entire wedding planning process and set the bar waaaay too high for everyone else. They were one of the few vendors we reached out to that did an initial Zoom consultation. I think based on rom-coms I had this crazy idea in my head that wedding planning was done through in-person appointments, but I quickly learned most is done through emails and phone calls making it all feel a little impersonal. Our first meeting with Bethany and Raquel was amazing and it felt like they were actually invested in learning about us as a couple (they definitely were!) and the type of photography experience/style we were looking for. Their kind and thoughtful personalities led us to book them for our engagement shoot and wedding straight away. They definitely can meet you at whatever level of crazy you’re currently running at. For example, for our engagement shoot I had made a whole powerpoint of the types of shots I wanted as well as potential outfits. I did a complete 180 by the wedding and I told them I trusted their artistic vision completely and had no shot list other than the groupings for formal portraits. The photographs came in while we were on our honeymoon and we were blown away by the gallery. Everything was beautifully photographed, edited, and curated. On the wedding day my husband and I were excited for our first look partially because we got to see each other, but also because it was a hang sesh with both of them (lol!). They are wonderful people who put you at ease whenever you chat with them and become your genuine lifelong friends along the way. Many guests complimented their work style in which they weren't intrusive during the ceremony, but were constantly snapping both candid and posed photos. We didn’t want our wedding to feel merely like a spectacle –we wanted it to be a gathering of all our loved ones, so Bethany and Raquel's candid style was a perfect match for us.

The Wedding Foundry Hudson Valley

5.0

Highland, NY
  • Venue
  • Up to 75 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

We include coordination and staff, photography, officiant, florals, catering, desserts and more. Say "I do" to a stress-free wedding experience with The Wedding Foundry. Let us handle the details while you focus on what truly matters – celebrating your love in a setting that's as unique and unforgettable as your relationship.

Booking with The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm is the best thing my husband and I have ever done. We were looking to have a small intimate wedding, but every venue tour we did still had a 75-100 person minimum and required a large cost requirement for catering. Then I happened upon The Wedding Foundry when researching micro weddings. We had one phone call with Billiam and immediately signed the contract, without even viewing the venue first. As a bride, the fact that they were including the venue, the officiant, photography, florals and catering was the best thing ever. It took so much stress off of me while planning this wedding, as I did not have to run around to different vendors. Billiam and Erica were extremely communicative and really took the time to learn what we were looking for. Day of, Billiam and his day of coordinator Cathy made sure the day ran perfectly. We were absolutely blown away from how beautiful our venue was. The florals they created made our wedding look like a fairy tale. Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Erica was an absolute pro with photography, really taking her time with my husband and I for our portraits. Throughout the night she made sure to capture every moment. Erica sent teasers to us within a week of our wedding and the photos are beautiful. The officiant, Michele, was amazing. She created the most personalized and beautiful ceremony that fit us perfectly. We loved how she included a hand-fasting ceremony as well. Multiple guests approached us to let us know that there was not a single dry eye during our ceremony. The Wedding Foundry truly created our perfect day. We are so happy with our intimate wedding, we had 46 of our closest friends and family and everyone truly enjoyed the day. I highly recommend booking The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm for your intimate wedding.

Hello! I’m the man behind the camera, capturing moments with deep passion for a couple of decades. What began as a simple hobby quickly grew into a mission to freeze time and immortalize your joyous occasions, candid moments, and raw emotions. My goal is to make my photos more than just images—they’re reflections of your most cherished moments, creating a deep connection between you and your memories. My work isn’t just a transaction; it’s about fostering a friendly, approachable environment where you feel comfortable and enjoy the process. I hope you come to love your photos as much as I love creating them.

Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

My wife and I met Sarah a few years ago when she photographed our friend’s wedding. She did such a great job that we had to have her do our wedding as well. My sister is getting married next year and I told her not to bother interviewing any photographers other than Sarah. You will not find anyone who will do a better job. We absolutely love the way our wedding photos came out. Sarah is so creative and has such an artistic eye which made our pictures unique and very cool. She was so awesome to work with. She really cares about her work and her clients and it really shows. In addition to being a great photographer, she is very sweet and genuine. We felt so comfortable with her which makes a huge difference! Not to mention, a photographer that can make you smile and laugh makes for some pretty great pictures! Her communication was clear and quick from the very beginning, which is super important in the wedding planning process. She really listened to what we wanted and what we didn’t want. I could not recommend Sarah more. She went above and beyond all expectations and by the end, we are happy to call her a friend! If you are planning a wedding/event, do yourself a favor and call her!

It’s Katie if you haven’t guessed already! I’m a photographer in the Hudson Valley. My goal is to give you the newest best friend you didn’t ask for and an incredible memory you get to keep forever. I live for the giggles, full heart felt moments and even shed a tear or two at almost every wedding I attend (just because I am so freaking happy). I can’t help but be so deeply intertwined in the moment that I get lost in the love and magic of it all.

I would HIGHLY recommend Katie. She travelled relatively far for my wedding but was energetic, easy to work with and willing to try anything to make our day special! She was timely, easy to contact and went above and beyond for my husband and I. 10/10 cannot say enough good things!

Margo Sees Stars

  • Videographer

Hi! I’m Julia, middle name Margo, a film school dropout and music buff who wants to make your wedding look like art. I'm here to represent diversity in the couples I work with and weddings I shoot (love is love), to give you something hyper-shareable that will instantly transport you in space and time for the rest of your lives, and to make you cry upon watching. The crying is very important. Bear with me on this analogy, but basically I like my wedding films like I like my salads: raw, organic, a little bit of quirk and flare, and consumed alongside great music. If this sound pretty good to you, have a look at my work and get in touch!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you want your wedding day to be captured like an art piece, like an actual movie or magical music video, hire Julia. I cannot recommend Margo Sees Stars enough! I knew I wanted a video of our big day because A) my memory (for the little details) sucks and B) I knew seeing the movement and all the sweet in-between moments in live footage would be so much more meaningful to me than just still photography. But I also am not drawn to super traditional sappy wedding video treatments. Julia took it to another level. I don't remember how I found her but she was the first vendor I booked and it was an A move and worth absolutely every penny. I fell in love with her Wes Anderson style, her eye for minimalism and fun candid moments, her editing and music choices. I felt such joy watching her videos of other peoples weddings, I couldn't imagine how good I would feel watching my own in her beautifully unique film style. Cut to my wedding day, not that this is totally mandatory but she was a complete fly on the wall. Obviously I was a bit preoccupied but I barely remember seeing her there, to the point that later on I was worried she may not have captured enough of the day because WHERE WAS SHE?! But she caught EVERY moment. Moments I was too anxious to pay attention to, or wasn't present for, or was having too much fun to remember. But I'm SO happy to be able to see them in the final video. It was 100x more than I dreamed of. Myself, my husband, our families, we all wept watching it. The music was so perfectly edited to the shots. Honestly I was anxious to pick a song without seeing the footage so I just gave her a few songs and bands I liked and the general vibe I wanted, and she completely NAILED it. She was also hugely accommodating to my editing process (I'm also a creative so I was a bit nit picky), and super communicative along the way when needed. But there was barely any need for it. You just let her do her thing and she makes absolute artistic magic. Not to mention she sends you the raw footage in an adorable package filled with Hershey's kisses and a camera-shaped USB key. I loved my wedding day but the moments are so fleeting, it goes by so quickly and then its gone forever, and it's lovely to have photographs of the day, but I'm telling you, having such a uniquely beautiful video art piece to watch when you want to smile really hits different. GO HIRE MARGO SEES STARS!

Although I had a vision for what I wanted the flowers to look like, I am certainly not a flower connoisseur, so wanted to find a professional who I could trust to understand and execute my vision and Liliya was the perfect person to do just that. Her timing and communications were perfect, Including plenty of mockups and vision boards during our preliminary meetings, and continued conversations leading up to the big day. I am a certified wedding and event planner, I've been working in the wedding industry for over a decade. I started off as an event planners assistant and soon found myself working for various venues. I studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology where I began building the foundation for my company. In 2013 I officially launched my wedding and event planning business in Sullivan County, NY. While I have planned dozens of weddings you can expect the upmost professionalism and confidence. My passion and attention to detail for this industry does not go unnoticed. I want to give every couple the opportunity to enjoy their wedding day!

We got married on our property in upstate NY and KR occasions helped provide day of coordination and SO much more. Kayce who is the founder, owner and operator helped coach us through the process, provided regular therapy and sourced some amazing vendors, who made the day so special. I would highly recommend that anyone getting married either at a venue or on your property use a coordinator so that you can relax on the day and feel assured that all will go to plan. Kayce is very experienced, knows what works and what doesn’t and fully takes charge to get the job done. People don’t generally follow directions at events and Kayce made sure that we stayed on schedule and didn’t have any regrets after the big day. Highly recommend KR occasions - you will be in safe hands and won’t regret the investment.

Kristin and Demi were fabulous to work with. From our first trial, the vibes were relaxed and fun. My makeup wasn’t quite what I was looking for on my first trial and Demi really listened to the feedback I gave and blew me away on the second try. They listened to my concerns about sensitive skin and really made me feel comfortable the whole time. I don’t typically wear makeup either, and originally came in with no real idea of how I wanted to look, so I know I wasn’t the easiest customer either. They were fabulous with my family and friends too, catering to several different styles. My hair stayed in place all night despite wind and rain and a lot of dancing and my husband told me my makeup still looked fabulous at the after party! Thank you both for helping me feel beautiful on a very special day!

Sprig & Social is a group of individuals delivering creative services for events. Whether it's a small dinner party, elaborate wedding, whimsical birthday, retail pop-up, or decking the halls for the holidays, unique floral packages are curated specifically to each project to ensure a perfect and seamless experience for the client.

We hired Sprig & Social for our April wedding — and are so grateful that we did! From the start, Tobin was so communicative, receptive to our overall event design and floral vision, and even patient with our little knowledge on flowers. We quickly noticed Tobin’s expertise during our calls, then saw it first-hand for our preview — I truly have never seen someone whip up a legitimate centerpiece so quickly and effortlessly! It didn’t take long for us to fully trust him for our special day. Fast forward to our wedding day — our flowers were absolutely breathtaking. They were timeless and elegant, perfectly complimenting the space and overall wedding design. Besides his clear expertise, Tobin really went above and beyond to help our floral vision come to life while still staying in our budget. It was really refreshing to work with a vendor who was sensitive to that, and it made us feel even more certain that we were in the very best hands. Thank you, Tobin, for everything!

There are no words that can express the magnitude of care, thought, and effort that the team at Fortune Valley Manor, led by Kerri & Frank Tiano, put into their weddings. We had the pleasure of getting married here two weeks ago on 9/17/23 and it was absolutely beautiful. If you’re considering FVM, do yourself the favor and make an appointment to meet with Kerri & Frank and see the site in person. Kerri guided us through the entire process as we planned it in 7 months; she helped us identify what vendors/suppliers we may need and provided resources for reference as well as time priority of onboarding vendors. Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras to using flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
I'd been following Nina Marin on Instagram for a number of years so once I got engaged, I knew exactly who to reach out to to capture my engagement shoot and elopement. As someone who cringes at being in front of the camera, she made me feel at ease and didn't hesitate to pose us or adjust our awkward hands/faces/etc. The pictures we got back felt like us — Nina was able to capture not only the visual aspects of our special day, but also the sheer bliss. I'm so grateful to have worked with such an easygoing and trustworthy photographer.

We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.

Throughout my entire wedding planning process, so many people kept saying “no one is going to remember or talk about your florals when the wedding is over!” Boy were they wrong! Since I got married, EVERYONE is STILL talking about my wedding florals produced by Sasha and how INCREDIBLE they were! She is a true master at her craft and made our special day look and feel like a real-life fairy tale!!! Sasha so genuinely cares about her work and gets just as excited as you, if not more! She kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and was just extremely easy going, personable, and readily available to chat anytime I had a question or concern. She wants your day to be just as special as you do! Exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day, Sasha curated in the most graceful fashion. A true artist!!! There’s people that do the job, and then there’s people that love the job and Sasha is one of those rare individuals. Cheryl was so easy to work with. Her communication was great and timely all before my special day. I felt like I never had a worry because my questions were always answered before the day ended. During the rehearsal, she was able to answer all my questions and give some pointers, which was super helpful to make our day go smoothly. I suggest you take her advice. She showed her confidence in what she does best, which only made me feel less nervous about everything going on. She and her staff were so friendly at the rehearsal dinner, specially with the special requests I had for a few of my guests. Our wedding went on without a hiccup. Her staff decorated my tables exactly how I wanted. She met with my photographer to show the grounds for photo options. She was readily available in moments and was on point with the schedule of events on my day. The food was great and it seemed like things went seamlessly. She came to one more rescue for our friends and family. The following day, we did not anticipate so many of our friends and family wanted to leisurely join us for dinner. She was able to set us up in a space to accommodate us at the last minute. Cheryl was so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Her experience and organization is paramount. She made us feel comfortable and confident with our plans. Our family and friends had a blast at the party and the grounds that weekend. Many said they would return, including us.

Spillian

Fleischmanns, NY
  • Venue
  • Up to 100 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Spillian is a place of dreams. An exquisite mountain great camp built in 1888 by the Fleischmann's Yeast Family, Spillian evokes the rustic elegance of the Gilded Age with original, unique historic oil murals, furnished with antiques, a Steinway piano, a concert harp, all on thirty two acres in the magical Catskill mountains. Eight enchanting rooms, each differently appointed, a grand dining room with a huge table for feasting, antique furniture, silver, art, and oriental rugs, 2 wood burning fireplaces, a porch to die for, claw foot tubs in every bath, a pond, an utterly romantic Victorian era rustic gazebo, and forests to explore, filled with moss covered rocks, hemlocks. Intimate, completely private, charming, and elegant with superb in-house catering. Spillian is a four season wedding location and was built for family and for celebrations. Come and see what memories it can create for you!

My wife and I met and got engaged in the Catskill Mountains, so it was so important to us that we also got married there. We found Spillian from an online search, and my wife was instantly drawn to the place; I was skeptical. But after touring it for the first time and meeting the owners - Mark and Leigh - it was apparent this was the only place we would want to get married. At Spillian there are no rules, and intentionality is the driving force behind every decision. From the food, to the people, to the actual wedding day, if you can dream it they can accommodate it. We wanted to do our rehearsal dinner there, and they asked us what we wanted for food. I tentatively proposed a build-your-own Bahn Mi bar and Mark wrote back a delicious, detailed menu, complete with boba tea. The food was excellent, and the fact that they have some rooms for you and some guests to stay on site made it even more special. We elected to have our bridal party there and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with them before and after the wedding. We came with all of our own decorations, and our flowers were dropped off the night before, and we were nervous about getting everything set up that day. But Alex and Sam, our day-of coordinators, took care of everything and make it look even better than we had ever imagined. And when it came to the day of, we were so overwhelmed that it was hard to make snap decisions. Sam and Alex were so patient with us, and really helped guide us through the day. I can't sing their praises enough but will publicly thank them here for allowing us to have the wedding of our dreams.
