Our venue was originally built in 1942, and used as munitions storage during World War 2. After that, it was repurposed for different industrial uses until the 1990s, when we moved in and set up our antique shop. Thirty years later, the area has changed incredibly and we no longer work in antiques!

1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.

Built from the granite of Stone Mountain, 550 Trackside was established as a Cotton Warehouse in 1904. Over the years, it has been known as The Langley General Store, The Mercantile Exchange, A Feed and Seed Co., the Grinder and the Goldkist Building. Since 1994 we've been a family-owned business. My parents owned and operated a uniform and linen factory that is still in operation today. In 2001, they opened a linen rental business in downtown Chamblee that serviced the most prestigious clients in the Atlanta area. Thanks for being here!! We are two creative, free-spirited, women-owned businesses who joined together to create this space for you to come in and be a part of. We specialize in event planning and photography services so we knew one day we had to create a space for other people to come in and host their events + photoshoots. We love meeting and celebrating you all who come our way and can't wait to see what you create in our space. Our goal is to make the process of hosting your event as easy as possible so you don't have to stress the small things. We take care of table, chair and linen set up and tear down so all you have to do is light cleaning before you leave! We are also one of the few venues in the area that have no catering requirements and we offer BYOB for beverages. Hosting your event with us is easy, we offer self check in to the venue so you have the space to yourself.

Our venue is the coolest little theater in Atlanta! Perfect for smaller weddings and couples who want a different style wedding vs. the same old same. Our seating is amphitheater style and the “stage” doubles as a dance floor! Our theater already has a pro sound system and pro lighting, making set up easy and ensuring YOU will be “the show” on your big day. When we’re not hosting weddings, The Atlanta Theater presents comedy shows, productions, podcasts, and much more - so you’re in very cool company! Lazy Betty is the culmination of the Hsu family's, along with Chef Aaron Phillips, love for food and community. Siblings Howard, Anita, and Ron Hsu were instilled with this passion from their mother, Betty, who welcomed friends and family to her restaurant as if it were her home. Chef Ron brings the experience he developed while working in kitchens all over the world, including his time as Creative Director at Le Bernardin, the world-renowned NYC restaurant that has garnered three Michelin stars and four stars from The New York Times.
