I recently had the pleasure of working with Maria for my wedding, and I am beyond thrilled with the stunning floral arrangements she created. My theme was Beauty and the Beast, and I wanted all red roses to capture that enchanting atmosphere. Maria's flowers were absolutely beautiful and blossomed perfectly, adding a touch of magic to the day. The centerpieces were stunning and put a real life feel of the enchanted rose. The bouquet, in particular, was my favorite. It made me feel like a real princess! Maria took the time to understand the ideal look I wanted and went above and beyond my expectations. Her attention to detail and creativity truly brought my vision to life. I am incredibly grateful for Maria's hard work and dedication. She is such a genuine person and made sure I was 100% happy with everything. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone in need of floral services. Thank you, Maria, for making my wedding day so special with your beautiful

Something Borrowed Blooms was a wonderful florist to work with for our wedding day! Their communication was always quick, friendly, and helpful in responding to any questions we had leading up to the big day. The quality of their silk flowers was truly amazing - they created the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets that looked incredibly realistic. Our guests were shocked when we told them the flowers were silk! Despite the 90 degree outdoor heat, the flowers still looked freshly picked all night without any wilting. Something Borrowed Blooms helped make our wedding day truly special with their perfect flowers that captured the romantic elegance we envisioned. We'd highly recommend them to any engaged couple looking for beautiful, high quality silk florals at an affordable price!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.8

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!

Emily was hands down the best. She planned my engagement to the last detail all without even talking to me. She asked my fiancé all the important questions that brought my vision to life. Not only were each flower handpicked to ensure not one flaw, she guided my fiancé throughout the whole process. She went over and beyond with helping us clean up and proving extra help that wasn’t in the contract. I cannot recommend Artmingo more. For someone who loves flowers but knows nothing about flowers; Iler Meadows made it easy to bring something to life with minimal information. At the first meeting, I remember meeting Suzanne and Erin and one of the questions was do you know which flowers you want. We didn’t know any flowers’ name but they reassured us that it was okay and we worked based off me and my fiancé (now husband) wedding color scheme and vision board. At first we thought we wanted an all white floral arrangements but it quickly changed as they showed us the different flower types. We left that initial meeting with a sense of relief. Throughout the wedding process, they were easy to get ahold of and were very responsive. Which as a bride, doing day of coordination was something we appreciated. Even if we had questions weeks leading up to the big day; they reassured us and always responded in a professional, kind manner. The day of the wedding we were in aw of how beautiful and detailed they were in every floral arrangement. Whether it was our arch florals, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids florals, boutonnières, or corsages. Everything came out stunning. We appreciated how they even made things easy to repurpose so that no florals got left behind from the ceremony to reception. No words can explain how grateful we are to them and their family for making our vision come to life! We would definitely support Iler Meadows again.

Alyssa and her team were absolutely perfect. I was referred to her by my friend who is a wedding planner when I was having a hard time finding a reliable florist. I was a very confused bride because I had no idea of what exact vibe I wanted. My first call with Alyssa, I left actually in a good mood and hopefully for what she was going to create. I gave her a couple white floral designs I had seen and told her I loved the disco ball trend I was seeing and kind of gave her creative freedom with that. ** always trust your vendor remember their the professional. She was so attentive, fast at communicating and took initiative. I never felt like I had to micromanage or wonder what she was up to. Something she did that was so amazing was provide a PowerPoint walking through every detail from boutonnières, bouquets, table designs, literally everything. It made the designs come together and left me with zero stress. She was there day of to make sure everything was perfect. My personal favorite choices her and I decided on that were her ideas were her custom white arches for ceremony and all the bridesmaids all had different white bouquets. I also loved her use of natural fruits on our tables. My guests LOVED the arches, and I had guests eat the fruit at dinner hahahah so it made the night memorable and fun. But forreal the arches were incredible one of my favorite things about the day. I could go on forever, Alyssa is truly the best. I would trust her with my cats, my first born child, and with my life. Choose her :)

Hijinx Flowers

5.0

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

From a background in the film and television industry to currently working in the wedding industry, I've brought my love of visual style and flowers together. My favorite aspect of working on weddings is working with the couple to figure out the style that speaks to them. From sleek and modern, to romantic and lush I can make it happen.

I think flowers are the most important part of the aesthetic for any event- they quite literally bring LIFE to the experience, along with color and softness and movement. I found the perfect person for the job in Jackie and I would fully recommend her to anyone who wants their florals to be artistic and professional! Jackie nailed down the specifics of my color palette when I said I wanted “warm citrus tones.” She totally understood the loose vibe that I was looking for, and confirmed that when she sent me mood boards and specifications ahead of time. She worked within my budget, waking up early to get flowers from the LA Flower Market. She even found a way to incorporate my friends by hosting a flower garland making party! She was the vendor I didn’t have to worry about- I completely trusted she would be where she needed to be, she would understand my vision, and she would make sure things ran seamlessly. She is cool as a cucumber under pressure and her arrangements have character. I am going to use Jackie for all of my events going forward!
