Summers Mill Retreat and Conference center has been built on a rich history. When it was founded in 1998 by Paul and Jane Meyer, they wanted "this place to be a ministry and to lead with a servant’s heart based on Christian values and principles." The name of our retreat center goes back to the grist mill built by John Myers in the spring of 1866. Business was good and within a year, he added a saw mill and a cotton gin. When John Myers died, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers, Douglas McKenzie, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill.

Several years ago we had purchased some property with a run-down old barn on it. As we restored the old barn we had several people ask if they could rent it for their upcoming wedding. The barn had no bathrooms, no parking, and a dirt floor - so we graciously declined but the seed had been planted. We love building + design, we’re dreamers at heart, and we genuinely love people and their stories. After leaving our daily jobs in ministry we ventured out to find the perfect 20 acres to build our dream on. Built from the ground up, designed with you and your families in mind, and always with the thought in the back of our minds, “We want to be more than just a wedding venue.”

Mae’s Ridge is more than a venue…it’s an experience. Just outside of Dripping Springs, our chic and modern barn overlooks 28 acres of incredible Hill Country Views. The interior is crisp and sophisticated. White shiplap walls and ceiling makes for the dream backdrop to any event possible. No matter the weather, natural light enters our climate controlled barn through six grand glass doors and skylights. Windy Knoll is our family ranch. When my husband and I got engaged, we wanted nothing more than to get married at Windy Knoll. Rather than rent a tent for the occasion, my mom decided to build a wedding venue! The wood beams that make up the bones of the Wedding Barn were originally erected in the 1840s in Maryland. The original barn was the site of several battles during the Civil War, partially burned down, and rebuilt in the 1860s. A company called Heritage Restorations disassembled the beams and transported them all the way to Round Top, where they were reassembled and turned into the Wedding Barn.

The Moss Ranch at Enchanted Rock offers the bridal party and family a private, relaxed weekend in the Texas Hill Country starting on Friday allowing time to decorate for the wedding and also having the option of the wedding rehearsal and dinner in the evening.
