Still riding the high from our wedding weekend! We were absolutely floored by all the work Jen and Ally and the whole Stagecoach team did to make our wedding weekend spectacular! They have several different packages that you can choose from which allowed us to find something that truly worked for us. We ended up having around 115 guests for the wedding and the space was just perfect! We had been to the Inn for dinner before and we knew we wanted to make food a priority. Chef Jerrel hit it out of the park for the rehearsal dinner, the cocktail hour/reception, and the brunch the next morning! Also because they have rooms upstairs, we were able to have our closest family stay and not have to worry about any travel! We couldn't recommend them enough!

ElmRock Inn

4.0

Stone Ridge, NY
  • Up to 150 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Catskill views abound at this lovely Hudson Valley B&B, whose lush five-acre plot looks out across Shawangunk Ridge. At the property's heart, a gorgeous Dutch Colonial Farmhouse greets guests with 18th-Century charm. Wed beneath the pretty gazebo, followed by cocktails in the 250 year-old Locust Grove, which also features the covered Bluestone Patio. Follow with a tented, seated or floating reception on the lawn or under a beautiful tent. Wrap up the celebration with dancing and a festive bonfire sendoff. The B&B sleeps up to 14 guests.

We loved our wedding at ElmRock Inn! The venue is gorgeous and I had the time of my life. Staying onsite was amazing. I highly recommend ElmRock. The chef is fantastic and we will remember our wedding fondly for the rest of our lives. There were a few negatives during our stay, but we are still very glad that we got married at ElmRock. The first negative was that the water in the BnB and carriage house (where bride/groom stayed) kept running out at night. This was pretty annoying, but not a huge issue since the water was usually fine by morning. Second, the venue coordinator was pretty rude throughout the weekend and especially to my family. Many people at the wedding commented about how rude she was (and the fact that she wore white pants to our wedding!). The rest of the staff was nicer, though a couple of the servers were also rude, just not as bad. I expected the staff to be more accommodating and welcoming the entire weekend, but it really felt more like we were getting scolded at times. Lastly, they served my wedding cake really cold and had clearly forgotten to take it out of the fridge to get to room temperature before serving. That was quite frustrating, especially since I heard them talking about how I (the bride) needed to hurry up to start the cake cutting while I was changing, but the cake wasn't even ready! Overall, the venue is gorgeous and we had a lovely time. I think the experience would be improved by some updating to their plumbing and getting a coordinator that's nicer to their customers. The food was AMAZING and the chef is fantastic, just be warned if you're sensitive to people who can be rude/unaccommodating.

The Bird and Bottle Inn

5.0

Garrison, NY
  • Up to 150 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Nestled in the hills of the beautiful Hudson Highlands, this one-time colonial stagecoach stop is over 250 years old and has been lovingly restored in 2021 with all of the modern comforts. Meticulously landscaped grounds, a peaceful brook with overlook bridge and 5 unique, beautifully appointed guest rooms make this the perfect weekend wedding destination.

The Bird and Bottle Inn was the perfect fairytale setting for our wedding. From the beginning, there were many emails back and forth to get all the details just right, but the staff was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire planning process. But they really shined the day of the wedding. The set-up and ceremony went so smoothly, they made sure everything was taken care of. Even last minute timeline switches like cutting the cake earlier in the night was made easy. We also were able to stay at the inn and get ready there which made things much easier on us. They had our signature drinks, champagne, and food ready and waiting for all the guests as soon as the ceremony was over. I have been to weddings where the entire cocktail hour we were just waiting on line to get a drink, this was perfectly set up. Drinks were also being continually poured and served at an inside and an outside bar, and if you couldn’t make it to the bar there was always a server nearby to help. There was even one server who was assigned just to us, he went above and beyond, always made sure we had anything we needed, always getting us drinks or more food, it was wonderful. And the food… the food was simply amazing - usually wedding food can be boring, or like it was just mass produced and pumped out of the kitchen, but their food was perfect. I am still thinking about the short rib and our guests are still raving about it over a month later. Literally one guest saying it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. And the space is so beautiful, there are so many lovely place for photos, and really makes it seem like you are in an enchanted place. The bridge over the little babbling brook for a first look, the garden ceremony by the pond, the cocktail hour on the patio, are just to name a few of the perfect spots on the property. And having our Photo Booth inside on the velvet couch was a unique touch guests really enjoyed! Not to mention getting our own private cottage to stay in! We also were able to move inside to the bar after the wedding was over with just the couple guests that were staying with us at the Inn and it was a lovely way to wind down after all the festivities were over. The entire team at The Bird and Bottle Inn truly went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything we dreamed it would be. We couldn't have asked for a more magical venue to celebrate our love

The Abbey Inn & Spa

5.0

Peekskill, NY
  • Up to 130 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $25,000

With its views over the Hudson River Highlands, Fort Hill was a key lookout post for George Washington and his army during the Revolutionary War; in 1902, it became home to a convent and chapel, established by the Episcopal Sisters of Saint Mary. The abbey and its chapel have been converted into The Abbey Inn & Spa – a luxury hotel with 42 rooms and suites, a Michelin recommended farm-to-table restaurant under the direction of Chef Peter X. Kelly, a luxurious spa, an outdoor pool, and over 65 acres to explore. The chapel offers a unique venue for important occasions, and a peaceful English garden provides s gorgeous background for photos. Lovingly restored and meticulously designed, our hotel pays homage to its historic heritage while offering contemporary amenities and world-class service to each and every guest. All of us at The Abbey Inn and Spa are thrilled to be part of this exciting transformation, and we’re eager to share it with you.

My fiancé and I are getting married at The Abbey Inn & Spa this fall. All I can say is this venue is absolutely FLAWLESS!! What makes it so flawless is how they kept the history of Peekskill tide in throughout the entire venue. Hands-down to Eileen who is the wedding coordinator at The Abbey Inn & Spa. From the moment we met her there was a connection. Any questions I had she answered with extreme confidence. She tells you how it is and I absolutely love that! She is always checking in especially with COVID-19 pandemic. Eileen is truly first in class. You will not want to look at another venue after you see The Abbey! ❤️

Crystal Springs Country Club at Grand Cascades Lodge

4.7

Hamburg, NJ
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Incorporate this beautiful mountain oasis into an outdoor ceremony in the lush wedding garden or serene Quarry. Perched atop a sweeping crest, with the most stunning panoramic views in the tri-state area, you will find the luxurious four-star Adirondack-style Grand Cascades Lodge and Crystal Springs Country Club. The Emerald Ballroom is the ideal venue for weddings with a larger guest list, comfortably accommodating up to 300 guests & an indoor cocktail hour in the open-air rotunda that overlooks the scenic Kittatinny and Pochuck mountains.

We had our wedding at Grand Cascades in June 2022 and had such an amazing experience! Throughout the planning process we worked with Sarah, who was awesome all the way from planning the details, picking up the phone whenever I needed her, providing advice on anything I asked, and all the way through to the day of. She handled everything that came up with grace and kindness, even in tough family situations that arose. We chose CS Grand Cascades for a few key reasons (1) the amazing menu and presentation of the food (2) the beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces no matter rain or shine and (3) the value you get for your money. We also LOVED the fact that the hotel was on-site and we didn’t need to worry about transportation for ourselves or our guests throughout the day and afterwards. This provided SO many advantages, including access to the bridal suite all day and being able to take advantage of the hotel bar on-site for a causal after party without any extra cost to us. It is definitely an under-rated venue in NJ that we are SO happy we found! We were able to stick to our ideal budget while not comprising on quality of the event. I have been told by so many people how we threw the BEST wedding they’ve ever been to. The event staff is a well-oiled machine and truly think of everything to make your day the most special and seamless experience. Highly recommend to all future brides!!

The Arnold House

5.0

Livingston Manor, NY
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $25,000

Discover the epitome of rustic chic at The Arnold House, your idyllic escape nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Catskill Mountains, a mere 2-hour drive from the bustling energy of New York City. Elevating the art of weddings into a three-day celebration of love, The Arnold House redefines the wedding experience, offering a captivating blend of refined charm and relaxed luxury. Our curated wedding weekends are tailor-made for couples who yearn for more than just a single day of festivities. Peak season is considered mid May through the end of October and requires a minimum of 120 guests and a maximum of 200 guests. Off peak season is considered November through Mid May with a maximum of 90 guests. At The Arnold House, we don't just host weddings; we create immersive experiences that span a weekend of joy, laughter, and unity. Our space isn't just a venue; it's a place where dreams unfold, bonds strengthen, and moments turn into cherished memories.

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding. The Arnold House encompasses everything we wanted for our wedding weekend - the charm and warmth of the Catskills, a low maintenance energy with high quality offerings, and a versatile venue where each space felt uniquely different (even if we had to use the same room twice...cue cold weather and rain!) to make each night feel like its own unique experience and special moment. Working with the Arnold House: From the start, they were so flexible on making sure that what was important to us worked. For example, we had preferences on specific food and wines and the AH team made it so easy to swap (and even source!) what we wanted. This team has an incredible ability to transform each space into a beautiful one, from the spreads they put out, the greenery they pick as decor, the furniture they arrange, and all the small touches in between that matter...we are so impressed. Additionally, they were helpful to make our guest experience the best possible - accommodating special requests and just generally being warm and inviting people. Lastly, the Arnold House itself is always continuing to add and improve their offerings. So we were met with nice surprises throughout our wedding planning process. For example we got to benefit from new chairs and dinner tables, something we no longer had to think about renting. The Space and Food: Wow! Our band and dance party in the greenhouse was pure magic. And our sit down dinner in the barn was beautiful and romantic. At first we were a bit concerned about having the dance party in a separate room from dinner - but it worked out really well and actually was nice to let those who wanted to dance, dance, and those who wanted to sit and chat be able to easily do that too. We didn’t get to eat much (even though we swore we wouldn’t be those people) but our guests all said the food was great and we can say for certain that we loved the burrata, oysters, trout drip, flank steak, and pumpkin pie!! Friday was intimate and inviting in Shandelee Hall/the Sun Room with the fire burning and the wine flowing. Wood fired pizzas were perfect. The Tavern: It’s own unique experience and space - unique from everywhere else on the property. Pool table and “divey-ish” vibes - a perfect setting for junk food and afterparty. Sunday brunch was simply gorgeous in the greenhouse. Food was simple, but good, and displayed beautifully. Overall: As you can tell from this being the first review, this place feels like a really well kept secret. Having now had our wedding here, we want to shout how great the Arnold House is from the rooftop. If you’re reading this right now, trust us… make the call and visit the Arnold House! Emily and the whole team were fantastic and made our weekend feel really special. The Arnold House will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you team Arnold House for the most wonderful wedding weekend.

Choosing Beaverkill Valley Inn as our wedding venue was an absolute dream come true - it's not just one of the best decisions we've made for our wedding. The memories we created there, the truly exceptional hospitality of the staff, the meticulous attention to every tiny detail, and the cuisine were simply out of this world. Diana and Kaitlyn are more than just professionals; they're wedding day superheroes. Their unwavering calm and ingenious problem-solving skills are exactly what every couple needs, especially when facing unpredictable weather or guest-related challenges. They consistently went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Chef Tommy curated a delicious menu and our guests were absolutely gushing about how delicious the food was. It’s rare that wedding food feels restaurant quality but at BVI it is! Every dish was cooked to perfection and was full of flavor. The staff at BVI consistently exceeds expectations. Every time I encountered a staff member, they genuinely inquired about my well-being, offered assistance, and sought ways to alleviate any wedding day stress. It was a truly remarkable experience. Beaverkill Valley Inn's setting is perfect - an ideal location for gathering your guests for a weekend getaway. Planning our wedding from Charleston, SC, Daniel and I had to be strategic with our venue tours and wedding coordination. The North Shore House was the first venue we planned to visit on a weekend trip home. From the moment we drove through the gorgeous grounds gate, we were hooked. Eric met us at the door and gave us a walkthrough of the estate. He was very professional, thorough, light-hearted, and honest. He had all the answers to any question we posed. After leaving, we made it half through our next venue tour, and knew we had already found the place for us at the North Shore House. We got engaged in November, booked the North Shore House in January, and recently held our event on September 9th. A majority of our coordination meetings, we were able to hold remotely (which saved a few plane rides for us) Everytime we came to visit for a bridal expo, tasting, and then later our 30 day pre-wedding meeting, the grounds became lush and more beautiful than we remembered. It truly is a gorgeous venue. We had the pleasure of working with the entire team—from Louise and Eric, to Kelly, Molly, and Emma. It truly was a group effort. The platform that they use “Planning Pods” makes it easy to communicate all needs and unanswered prompts with clear deadlines. It’s a great tool to keep planning needs organized. The food was impeccable! Ken made the BEST recommendations! I have celiac disease, and the whole kitchen staff made accommodations to ensure all guests with allergies were able to enjoy the food. I’ll be thinking about Michelle’s gluten-free cupcakes for years to come! I have to take the rest of my review to praise Kelly Koster, who was our day-of coordinator. I could NOT have stayed as calm as I had without her guidance. The forecast for our wedding day was less than ideal, scattered storms in the area. All that I wanted for the past ten months was to get married alongside that gorgeous lake. Kelly and the team watched the storm tracker, and kept us updated on our options. She presented alternatives with a very matter-of-fact attitude, ensuring that it was our decision (which made it hard because I was talking to my husband through other people.) The whole team scrambled to move our ceremony a half hour earlier and ultimately, we moved the cocktail hour inside. As I walked down the aisle, a very dramatic windstorm blew through, my veil flew even off of my head! We all watched as the sky turned from blue to grey in the most dramatic way. It was a ceremony for the books. Not a drop of rain fell until the last guest entered the venue for cocktail hour. I could not have imagined our wedding to have been anywhere else. From the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding, accommodations, food, day-of coordinator, the North Shore House provided exactly what we NEEDED for our day. It truly is the best one-stop shop. We are forever grateful of the memories this venue has given us. We plan to come back every year for our anniversary dinner! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Spillian is a place of dreams. An exquisite mountain great camp built in 1888 by the Fleischmann's Yeast Family, Spillian evokes the rustic elegance of the Gilded Age with original, unique historic oil murals, furnished with antiques, a Steinway piano, a concert harp, all on thirty two acres in the magical Catskill mountains. Eight enchanting rooms, each differently appointed, a grand dining room with a huge table for feasting, antique furniture, silver, art, and oriental rugs, 2 wood burning fireplaces, a porch to die for, claw foot tubs in every bath, a pond, an utterly romantic Victorian era rustic gazebo, and forests to explore, filled with moss covered rocks, hemlocks. Intimate, completely private, charming, and elegant with superb in-house catering. Spillian is a four season wedding location and was built for family and for celebrations. Come and see what memories it can create for you!

My wife and I met and got engaged in the Catskill Mountains, so it was so important to us that we also got married there. We found Spillian from an online search, and my wife was instantly drawn to the place; I was skeptical. But after touring it for the first time and meeting the owners - Mark and Leigh - it was apparent this was the only place we would want to get married. At Spillian there are no rules, and intentionality is the driving force behind every decision. From the food, to the people, to the actual wedding day, if you can dream it they can accommodate it. We wanted to do our rehearsal dinner there, and they asked us what we wanted for food. I tentatively proposed a build-your-own Bahn Mi bar and Mark wrote back a delicious, detailed menu, complete with boba tea. The food was excellent, and the fact that they have some rooms for you and some guests to stay on site made it even more special. We elected to have our bridal party there and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with them before and after the wedding. We came with all of our own decorations, and our flowers were dropped off the night before, and we were nervous about getting everything set up that day. But Alex and Sam, our day-of coordinators, took care of everything and make it look even better than we had ever imagined. And when it came to the day of, we were so overwhelmed that it was hard to make snap decisions. Sam and Alex were so patient with us, and really helped guide us through the day. I can't sing their praises enough but will publicly thank them here for allowing us to have the wedding of our dreams.
