Sarah & her Sleeping Bee Designs crew were everything I could have ever asked for. I'm a very DIY person, so I thought "hmm, maybe I don't need a coordinator." Spoiler- yes you do, everyone does, don't do it yourself. I promise it's worth every penny. We first met Sarah at a wedding expo in Downtown Frederick, and immediately loved her personality. We emailed several months later, and were so relieved she was available on our date. The second you book her, she'll give you things to start thinking about. Like, things that never even crossed your mind, but duh! Organized doesn't even begin to explain SBD. Our wedding timeline was planned perfectly, down to the minute. Sarah was on top of rallying the other vendors, and even joined me for a couple calls with them, leading up to the wedding. All our vendors said the similar things- "Wow, she's on top of it." Or "Holy bananas, she's the most organized coordinator I've ever worked with." The day of the wedding, we felt so taken care of. You need a drink? Don't worry- Sarah or Christine already know, and it's probably on the way. We blinked and the decorations were all packed up and in our car. Vendor tips? Handed out. Card box? Very, very secure. Something not matching up with a different vendor contract you signed? Not on SBD's watch. As we were leaving the venue the night of our wedding, Sarah gave us the best piece of advice: "Eat your wedding cake for breakfast, open all your cards in the morning, and just take it all in." We did exactly that, and it's one of my favorite wedding moments. I don't think our wedding would have been half as successful as it was, if we hadn't hired Sleeping Bee Designs. It's been 8 months since we've been married and Sarah is still helping us with things- can you say newspaper feature? Looking back at our whole experience, I'd honestly pay double what we did.

Better yet is she knows how to read every moment and capture the feel of your big day, all the joy, love and excitement you experience is right there again when it’s photo delivery day. I can’t say enough good things about Union Mills. They have a full liquor license and the most amazing in-house catering. Niko and Mary are the owners, and they’re the most down to earth, and easy going people. They truly helped to make our wedding day so perfect. Niko is also the head chef, and my guests have not stopped talking about how good the food was at our wedding. I can truly say the food was exactly the same excellent quality at our wedding, that it was at our tasting. Everything came out piping hot and was absolutely delicious! I’ve also met servers who have worked for him and they’ve all said he run the cleanest and most efficient kitchen they’ve ever worked in. Our guest were also so impressed with how efficient the bar was. We had about 150 guests, and no one had to wait in a long line the whole night because Billy kept the bar moving so fast and efficient! The drinks were ABSOLUTELY amazing. It was super important to me to offer alcohol removed options for my guests, and Mary went out of her way to make sure there were options stocked for us. They were beyond accommodating. They were a WONDERFUL venue and we are so, so grateful to have picked them for our wedding day!

I booked Margo as my wedding hair stylist and she was amazing!! Her professionalism and bubbly personality made my wedding morning stress-free, and she gave me the hair style of my dreams I first booked a hair trial with Margo about a year ahead of my wedding. From the start, she was communicative, and my trial session was a lot of fun. She answered a ton of my questions about timeline, hair styles, and more. She also sent me extra reference photos when I requested them to prepare for my bridesmaids. Margo is also incredibly fast. We had a 12pm finish time, and I had 5 bridesmaids plus myself that needed their hair done. She arrived at 7:30AM and completed everyone’s hair in a timely manner. My bridesmaids had hair ranging from very naturally curly and thick to extremely straight and hard to hold a curl. Every single one of the girls’ hair held up for the entire day over 12 hours, and everyone was delighted with their chosen styles! My hair was still looking fantastic after a lot of dancing (see the attached photo of me at top golf at the end of the night!) I highly recommend Margo for an entirely stress-free morning getting ready for your wedding, and if you want you and your bridesmaids looking beautiful for the entire day. Her and her team at The Whole Story are amazing!!!

We are so so happy we chose Livvy to be our wedding videographer! She is the absolute sweetest and you can tell she loves her craft and loves working with couples to capture one of their happiest days. She offers a few things that really set her apart from other videographers that I have not seen before. The first is the "Love Story" shoot, where she meets the couple in advance of the wedding and interviews each person individually about their relationship and how they fell in love etc., then puts together a video that we shared with family and friends and posted on our wedding website! Livvy was generous enough to come all the way to our (last minute rescheduled) engagement photoshoot with our photographer to capture moments of that on video to include in the interview clips filmed right after the photoshoot. That also allowed her and our photographer to get to know each other before wedding day! The other cool thing Livvy offers is the Motion Books wedding video album which we are so excited to receive! It is essentially a book that when you open it, it has an electronic screen and starts playing your wedding video! We cannot wait to get it and put it on our coffee table for all of our guests (and ourselves) to easily re-experience the fun and beauty of the day. She also will be sending all of the raw unedited footage of the wedding which we cannot wait to see, and relive all parts of the day. Even with all of these extra special touches she includes in her packages, her prices are incredibly reasonable and provide an amazing value to what she offers. Overall Livvy is such a kind, caring soul who makes all of her couples feel special and comfortable and would definitely recommend her for all of your videography needs!!

I ordered my bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres from Brook Hill Flowers, but got 2 DIY boxes of flowers from Wegman's in Frederick. However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help. I was upstairs starting my beautification and when I came down the stairs towards my dad to walk down the aisle, I was blown away seeing how beautiful my home looked! Thank You, Jessica!!

Makeup lasted all night. Looked amazing. I could say so much about her. She was sweet, professional, she did a range of looks on my girls. She did all 6 of us in a couple hours. If you abide by the time slots she needs it will be easy for everyone. All my girls loved her as a person as well. Some of them slept with their makeup on and woke up with lipstick still in tact, lashes still on. She is on time. For my woman of color, she can match your skin tone exactly. My girls were mostly white but my MOH is Hispanic, and another is a very dark in complexion and both blended seamlessly. My makeup remained perfect, normally my eyes get annoyed with mascara and lashes but they didn't when she did it. I would also be friends with her IRL. THAT is how amazing she is.

Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. We had our wedding at Ceresville Mansion and cannot recommend them highly enough. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for our special day. Communication with the staff leading up to the event was timely and responsive - they always got back to us right away whenever we had a question. On the actual wedding day, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They checked in frequently to see if we needed anything and handled all logistics behind the scenes so we could simply focus on enjoying ourselves. The service and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a stress-free wedding with beautiful scenery, fantastic food, and exceptional service, Ceresville Mansion is the perfect choice. I cannot sing Emma’s praises enough!!! We hired Emma as a month-of coordinator and are fully convinced she is the sole reason our wedding went off without a hitch! We had over 200 people and our ceremony was at a different location from our reception—no small undertaking—and from the moment we started working together, we knew our wedding was in good hands. Emma is extremely organized and has the perfect demeanor for this type of work. When I was actively pulling my hair out with stress (and a venue that was less than forthcoming about a conflict with our event space), Emma stepped up and made sure everything went smoothly, all while remaining calm, cool and collected. Emma was SO easy to work with and is a pleasure to be around. She also has a great inventory of items to bolster your décor—we ended up renting a card box and table numbers from her that she printed and designed with our names on it! She helped us hone our vision and refine our timeline, all while making sure everything was finalized to our liking! We hired Lal Moya to do the florals for our daughter’s wedding. We needed florals for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and full sit-down dinner reception, and we needed it in 4 weeks, AND our daughter was set on a jewel-toned color palette…in spring… Lal Moya came through! The team created gorgeous arrangements that were exactly what the bride wanted. They adjusted the number of arrangements, boutonnièrs, etc as our needs evolved. Their professionalism through the entire process was stellar. The price was quite good. I highly recommend choosing them for your florals. You won’t be disappointed!

I am writing this review wayyyy too late (a little over 2 years after my wedding) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Mason(aka Anchor Pictures) all the praise they deserve. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Mason and Savannah previously and found them to be so sweet and easy to work with as well as extremely professional. I knew that when I got married they would be at the top of my list for videography and I was so glad they were available! My husband still talks about how absolutely sweet and helpful Mason was on the day of our wedding, assisting him in getting his bow tie on when no one else knew how. He worked perfectly with our photographer team and even when we ran slightly behind schedule due to hair and makeup, he was on it with getting all the shots needed quickly so we could get back on track. The videos themselves I could watch on repeat constantly, every day, for the rest of my life. I still cry watching the full video and cannot stop smiling when I watch the teaser and full 8 minute cut. The drone shots, the details, all cut together seamlessly with our music and clips of the ceremony and speeches. Mason’s work is beautiful, the camerawork and shots are breathtaking and made my humble backyard wedding look like a high budget royal wedding video. I love it sooooo much and am forever grateful that we will one day be able to watch this video with our children as well as show other family members who were not able to make it that day. Thank you SO much Anchor Pictures, I cannot recommend them enough!

Had the most amazing experience and wedding this fall at Dulaneys. The staff is amazing and gives recommendations for vendors that frequent there and their coordinator we had, Maddie, was a god send for an unfortunate event with our original photographer and was in constant communication with us prior to the wedding. Amazing views as well as a great area to get ready in for both guys and girls.

The moment we first toured The Hummingbird Chateau we fell in love and knew this was where we were meant to get married. Working with Angela and the owners were amazing. Went above and beyond and made our vision come to life with the expansive decor they offer and her creative eye! I can’t recommend them enough! Beautifully unique venue, stunning decor to choose from their vast inventory, the eclectic colorful farmhouse has an amazing photo opportunity in every nook and cranny! The bridal suite is gorgeous and relaxing and the grooms area was spectacular. I could go on and on raving about everything this venue offers. We were married in one of the outdoor locations by the greenhouse and it was perfect (the rain plan ceremony spot was a stunning back up option-so many great areas to choose from). The Hummingbird Chateau is a must see! - You’ll fall in love just like we did :)

The Christian Royer House was the best venue for my wedding! What Michelle & Jerry offer for their couples goes above and beyond anything else I've seen offered by other wedding venues & owners. They provide decorations, ceremony centerpieces, two separate floors for the bridal party to get ready, a honeymoon cabin, and a detailed planner with tips and tricks to help you plan a wedding according to their venue. The venue is gorgeous and the fountain in the background made the ceremony so peaceful and romantic. We absolutely loved how our wedding turned out and the support Michelle & Jerry gave us was so helpful! Booking them was the best decision we made during the wedding process and highly recommend 100%!

Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. Stacey and her team made our day absolute perfection! From the timelines, to the communication, organization, team work, laughter and love and care we felt totally taken care of during our wedding day and the weeks/month prior. I have no idea how we would have been able to have such an amazing day without her and her team. We had roughly 100 peoepl attending out wedding with 10-15 kids/babies and 2 dogs, and Stacey and her team worked hard at making sure everyone was exactly where they were suppose to be when they were suppose to be. Our day flowed and my wife and I were so unbothered and able to just enjoy the day as it came. 100% recommend this team for any event.

Molly rolled with the punches on what ended up being a crazy day and brought peace and a level of expertise we seriously needed! Our wedding day was nearly 100 degrees and we had to pivot some outdoor moments to being indoors, and Molly immediately had a million great ideas for photos and lighting. From our initial call to a walkthrough of the venue to the actual wedding day, Molly was a source of inspiration. My wedding portraits are my favorite photos on the world, and she captured one-in-a-million shots of the dance floor as well. She really has an eye for the special moments and captured so many details I would have otherwise missed on the big day.
