The Athenaeum is a beautifully preserved antebellum building, now serving as an art gallery. One of only two remaining examples of Neoclassical Greek Revival architecture in Alexandria, its exterior features an impressive portico supported by soaring Doric columns. Oversized windows bring natural light to the main gallery rooms, which boast 24-foot ceilings, wonderful woodwork, and exposed granite walls lined with rotating art exhibits. Your ceremony can be held in the sweet, private courtyard. This quaint, romantic space has a “secret garden” feel, sheltered from the street by high, vine-covered red brick walls. Please note wheelchair access is available only on the main floor. A/V equipment is available but limited. The Athenaeum is available for viewing during gallery hours or by appointment. Pheasant Run Farm Bed and Breakfast is a 48 farm, the original stone barn of the farm has been lovingly re-purposed into a bed and breakfast. The bed and breakfast features 4 overnight rooms. The Mansion and property is owned and operated by Howard County Government's Recreation and Parks Department and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Historic Waverly Mansion is considered an outdoor venue. The property includes beautifully maintained gardens, the historic Mansion, and rustic barn. During our peak rental season, a 60x40ft event tent is included in wedding rentals. Historic Waverly provides the location and property amenities while the Permit Holder provides all vendors, including an approved full-service Caterer and Wedding Coordinator. Historic Waverly Mansion is a Howard County Park. Howard County Recreation and Park guidelines apply to all scheduled events and are different from privately owned venues. Anthony Corradetti moved his thriving glassblowing business to Clipper Mill in 2005 after an already accomplished career spanning 30 years. His works are included in many private, corporate and museum collections. The space is an independent studio where glasswork is created everyday including large scale installations, lighting projects, and tabletop pieces for home or office. The showroom is open daily and features a variety of works for sale from one of a kind art to limited production pieces all made by Anthony Corradetti. Glassblowing classes & workshops are held regularly and the venue is available to rent for private events.

Rosensteel Hall has been in business for over 50 years. We recently held a wedding reception for a fathers seventh daughter, all seven daughters held their receptions at Rosensteel Hall. We have a fully staffed commercial kitchen. We hold our own Montgomery County liquor license. We allow outside licensed and insured caterers. Our packages range from $21.95 per person up to $139.95 per per, with the average coming in around $50.00 per person. Most all packages include: 4hr.
