About this venue
The Furnace Town Foundation, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation charged with the responsibility of preserving, restoring, and interpreting the twenty-five acres of Furnace Town Historic Site, the 19th-century village of the Nassawango Iron Furnace. They say that love makes the world go-'round, and Furnace Town has been around for a long time! If you're looking for a place that's beautiful, natural, and historic, look no further than Furnace Town Historic Site. Our quaint forest village offers a number of stunning and unique backdrops that are perfect for your special day; including the Nassawango Iron Furnace and the Old Nazareth Church. The Old Nazareth Church was originally a country Methodist Church from 1874 to the mid-twentieth century.

Nassawango Iron Furnace
As you walk up the ramp to the top of the furnace, look at the carts near the ramp base. Imagine them filled with charcoal, bog iron ore and shells, and then pulled up to the top of the ramp. Look in the mirror at the top of the furnace and imagine interior temperatures of 3000 degrees Fahrenheit.
