“I couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Jamie from Ceremony DJs! My now-husband and I hired him to DJ our wedding in July 2022. Before we selected him as one of our vendors, we had a two hour long Zoom meeting during which we hung out, drank beers, and chatted about all our musical interests and influences. We clicked with him immediately during this initial meeting and opted not to look at other DJ options even though he was more expensive than we originally budgeted for. That was okay with us though because we wanted to prioritize making our wedding a party and we could envision that happening with Jamie behind the decks. During the planning process, Jamie asked about everything: each of our musical preferences throughout the years (high school to college to the present day), what our friends listen to, and what our families listen to. Then we made a collaborative Spotify playlist that he used to create his wedding day set, but we also gave him some creative control since he obviously knows what he's doing. He stayed very available throughout the planning process via text and phone call, which made it easy to work with him. On the actual wedding day, the DJing was absolutely perfect and so much fun. He did a great job controlling the energy of the event, from the guests arriving, to cocktail hour, to the actual reception. Our playlist and preferred music leans towards electronic in terms of genre, particularly house for this event, but he also mixed in tons of fun hip hop and old indie favorites in a way that flowed really nicely. Since the event, multiple guests have told us that that they had fun specifically because the music and DJing were so good, so thank you Jamie for helping to make our wedding a success!”

“DJ P did a phenomenal job at my wedding! I had a large wedding of 170 people, and he brought extra speakers, equipment and even a 2nd DJ assistant to ensure his music could be projected throughout the venue at no extra charge. After he setup his equipment, he helped us set up the venue by setting up tables and games we had planned without even being asked. He remembered and respected my blacklist of songs, checking with me any time someone requested one. He was on point on all the songs we asked him to play throughout the night, playing them at the right time. When the dance floor opened up, he had our guests dancing the entire night up until the last song. It was just one song after another that the crowd wanted. He even got on the mic and hyped up the crowd a few times. He worked really well with our wedding coordinator and MC, adapting on the fly as needed. After the wedding, so many people came up to us and complimented the DJ – it wasn’t the same dry wedding playlist they heard at most weddings they went to. “Our experience with Troy began with an initial meeting, which was difficult due to my wife and I's conflicting schedule and far distance from our venue. Troy was extremely flexible and agreed to meet on FaceTime. Once we decided to hire DJ Barnett Entertainment, Troy was extremely responsive over the next couple months. His website was easy to navigate and very detailed, which helped more than we realized when the last minute details of the wedding started to add up. All our requests before the wedding were promptly and thoroughly answered. When wedding day came, Troy was the first outside vendor on site. He was organized and set up with more than enough time to spare, which was important since our wedding was the third of the weekend at our venue. He worked with the venue, our wedding coordinator and other vendors flawlessly. His actual DJ'ing (announcements, mic set-up, music) was also flawless. He had a happy, easy going and positive attitude the entire wedding, which truly made a difference. We had several songs we wanted to be played, which Troy did, but we also allowed him to read the crowd and left a lot of the music choice up to him. Troy made perfect choices that led to a huge 3 hour dance party. Everyone had an amazing time. If we were to do it again, we would not have had Troy do anything differently. He had an amazing attitude throughout the entire process and exceeded all of our expectations!!”

“When my husband and I started planning our wedding two years ago, we agreed right away that we both wanted a live band for the reception - it was the most important thing for both of us, as we knew we wanted that kind of energy in the room. As we researched bands (mostly through wedding-themed websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot), we came across the Lucky Devils Band and saw all of their good reviews. There are a lot of other bands you can find in and around Los Angeles, but they had one really big advantage that most other bands didn’t - regularly scheduled showcases where you could see them perform live. LDB were actually the first band we seriously considered, but we still did our due diligence and looked into a lot of other bands. We said to each other - we can’t just book the first band we find! Well, we ended up doing just that, and it was the best decision we made! Not only do they make it easy for couples to come see them live, they are also talented, professional, and truly affordable. Mike Smirnoff, the musician/producer who was our main point of contact was super responsive, friendly, and remembered us from early on (we ended up attending a lot of their showcases because we just enjoyed hearing them live!). The small downside to the band is that because they are essentially a collective, you won’t necessarily know which musicians will be playing on the day of your event, however, Mike took into account all of our specific requests for certain members we saw at each of their showcases, and he secured everyone that we had wanted. We had a six-piece band, which included two versatile musician/singers (Andrew on guitar & vocals, and Jason on keyboard and vocals) so we got the most bang for our buck. Kaitlyn was amazing on vocals, and Mark was killer on sax, with Dimitri on bass and Mike himself on drums rounding out the band. We got SO many compliments from our guests all night long - including from his parents, who are VERY picky about music, and from other friends who are composers/musicians themselves. Our wedding was in March, right as the pandemic panic was kicking into high gear - and we were very stressed about the cancellations and our own fears, but when the music started playing, we forgot about all of it and danced until we couldn’t feel our feet. We highly recommend the Lucky Devils Band to all couples!! Get yourselves to a showcase and see for yourselves how great they are!!”

Just close your eyes and you’ll swear the original artists are performing. But don’t close them for too long or you won’t be able to enjoy their outstanding dance moves and showmanship.

“We're quite saddened by their google review, posted even before we had a chance to actually speak with them to clear up several serious inaccuracies. Our band has HUNDREDS of positive online reviews/satisfied wedding clients. And we'll always accept valid criticism. But this one is mostly false and unfair. As Zola does not provide the option for responding to negative reviews, the following are our comments: 1. Since the bride and groom hadn't hired a wedding planner everything was extremely disorganized as we received their timeline just one week prior to the event, but then they changed it twice more, including two days before. Despite asking for our bandleader's phone #, the groom never reached out to discuss any of these details. In other words, we were given minimal direction in regard to all of the last-minute changes. Even on the wedding day itself, our band was asked to set and reset their equipment multiple times because the bride and groom disagreed with the onsite coordinator's floor plan, moving/resetting the bride and groom table as well! 2. According to what the photographer told us, the bride and groom's limo driver was over 90 min. late, shifting the entire timeline and putting them in a bad mood from the very beginning, as noticed by our bandleader at around 5:15pm when he first introduced himself, prior to the band providing either live or recorded music. 3. Regarding the recorded music, it was only lacking for approx. 45 min. as the band discovered the phone battery issue at approx. 7:45pm, during their first break, quickly rectifying the situation by putting the phone on a charger and then continuing with the recorded music outside from approx. 8-10pm. Furthermore, they made up for it by keeping their system running for an extra 30 min., beyond our contracted time of 11pm. And those comments regarding the afterparty are also totally untrue as somebody from the band was manning the system, until a cousin of the bride or groom demanded that he use her playlist instead, and then she responded angrily when he finally turned off the system at 11:30pm. 4. As for the band's sound system, we do acknowledge some 'hum' issues as there was just one electrical outlet provided for the entire band, resulting in 'dirty power' which couldn't be fully corrected. And we deeply regret mispronouncing the various names as most were very unfamiliar and of Indian origin, despite our lining up the wedding party in advance and writing everything down phonetically. 5. Even though some of the client's emails mentioned solo keys during cocktails, we provided a duo, covering an extra 30 min. of recorded music from 4:30-5pm at no extra charge, as requested. While it's standard practice for a band to take a dinner break during an almost six hr. event, this was clearly-specified in our contract as well. And then we performed continuously from 8:30-10pm, including most of the requested songs that we had prepared well in advance. So their comments about seemingly just 'walking off a bus' are completely false and misleading. In other words, our musicians went 'above and beyond' in spite of some very challenging circumstances. 6. Fortunately, we did receive a 'happy reaction' with a crowded dance floor and TONS of compliments from the guests, some requesting pictures w/the band too, while even the bride and groom were singing along and dancing non-stop, which we were VERY happy to see, making their negative review even more surprising though!”

“Having AMP Band for our wedding was an A Experience. For our wedding, we used the DJ/Band Entertainment for reception, along with the String Duo Violins for the ceremony. During the pre-wedding planning stage, Ana & Jimmy took the time to get to know us on a personal level and answered all of our questions quickly through emails and zooms. What I loved about the planning stage with them was their ability to incorporate our music suggestions, while also providing feedback on music through their expertise. On the wedding day, they absolutely crushed it!! During our wedding, it was a perfect mix of live and dj entertainment during our reception.
