Amazing DJ!
DJ Demchuk (Daniel) did an absolutely amazing job during our wedding! The dance floor was bumping all night and we got SO many compliments on how good the music was, including from our older guests. Both the CA team and Daniel himself were super professional, kind, and communicative to work with throughout the planning process and during the night itself. We asked for some edits to our first dance song and Daniel made it happen flawlessly. He also sent us a full track list from the wedding within a few days so we can relive the party over and over. We could not have been happier with how everything turned out, and would recommend this DJ to anyone looking!
Simply the best!
My husband and I absolutely love Cage and Aquarium! We utilized them for both photography and DJ services on wedding day. As for our photographers, they were incredible in their photography skills but also in supporting us on wedding day. They helped make the day run smoothly and were efficient in coordinating things such as taking large family photos and enduring our travels around the city between the ceremony and reception. As for our DJ, he was also amazing. He kept the reception running smoothly and was so personable and professional. I couldn't have been more impressed with the music selection our DJ chose -- so many of our guests said that we had the most amount of people dancing at a wedding that they'd seen. I can't recommend C&A enough.
Ruined our wedding
I hate to have to leave this review. I would like to believe that what happened to me was a fluke one time horrible mistake and so I hope this review doesn’t freak anyone out who is planning to have Cage & Aquarium at their event but I do feel people deserve to know what could happen to them. I spent hours filling out our dj survey and meeting with our dj. Music was what we cared the most about at our wedding and we felt confident with Cage & Aquarium because they sold us on being passionate professionals. The day of our wedding we discovered our assigned DJ Trevor wasn’t with us as I was walking down the isle to a Beatles interview (you read the correctly no music at all just a random interview). It completely ruined my one and only walk down the isle. When I checked in with the stand in he lacked any confidence in running the rest of the night and had 70 tabs of YouTube up on his computer with advertisements playing. Our friends had to then be put to work at our wedding in order to take over and MC and show this employee how to create a cue on Spotify… it was unclear what we paid for. Thankful when I reached out the next day about what happened we did get a full refund. This will never repay for the ruined moments at our wedding but it was better than nothing. They explained that our DJ Trevor got a flat tire which to me felt like a horrible excuse (leave your car and take an Uber to your event next time). I have yet to receive an apology from Trevor himself for not getting to our event. When I asked why no one let us know he wasn’t going to make it they said they didn’t know who to contact. If you are working with this company ensure you have a back up plan and that they have a contact for day of.
