Owner

Troy Barnett, founder of DJ Barnett Entertainment has been entertaining people from coast to coast for over 35 years. In 1988, Troy started playing music for school dances in Northern California at the age of 15, which inspired him to make DJing a career. In 1995, Troy started his first DJ Business "Real Music & Co." in Jacksonville, FL which was huge a success at a very young age. In 2006, Troy left his position as Cruise Director for PBP Cruise Lines and moved back to his hometown in Northern California to be closer to family. With many years as a professional DJ/MC and Wedding DJ he started DJ Barnett Entertainment.

With over 1000 weddings in the last 35 years, we have the experience and professionalism that our clients expect when choosing a DJ for their special day. In addition to playing the best music for your family and friends to enjoy, our DJ will also act as the Master of Ceremony by handling your announcements and coordinating your event with the staff, photographer, and videographers to ensure everything flows seamlessly.

    Long over due, but SO grateful we chose the best DJ around! DJ Barnett made our entire wedding perfect in every way possible! The kindness and communication prior to an absolute perfect execution the day of! He had all of our guests of all the ages on the dance floor at some point and truly made our day/night better than we could have ever imagined! If we could do the wedding over again, we would 100000000% hire DJ Barnett! Thank you for being the amazing person you are Troy!

    I loved DJ Troy. His website was very easy to use and every time my fiance (now husband) heard a song we wanted to hear during our reception I just went in and added it! Our reception was short and our play list was long and I didn't hear one song we didn't hand select which was wonderful. I also had a handful of very specific songs that I wanted started at very specific times for my wedding party's processions and DJ Troy killed it on every one!

    Our experience with Troy began with an initial meeting, which was difficult due to my wife and I's conflicting schedule and far distance from our venue. Troy was extremely flexible and agreed to meet on FaceTime. Once we decided to hire DJ Barnett Entertainment, Troy was extremely responsive over the next couple months. His website was easy to navigate and very detailed, which helped more than we realized when the last minute details of the wedding started to add up. All our requests before the wedding were promptly and thoroughly answered. When wedding day came, Troy was the first outside vendor on site. He was organized and set up with more than enough time to spare, which was important since our wedding was the third of the weekend at our venue. He worked with the venue, our wedding coordinator and other vendors flawlessly. His actual DJ'ing (announcements, mic set-up, music) was also flawless. He had a happy, easy going and positive attitude the entire wedding, which truly made a difference. We had several songs we wanted to be played, which Troy did, but we also allowed him to read the crowd and left a lot of the music choice up to him. Troy made perfect choices that led to a huge 3 hour dance party. Everyone had an amazing time. If we were to do it again, we would not have had Troy do anything differently. He had an amazing attitude throughout the entire process and exceeded all of our expectations!!

    Without a doubt DJ Barnett Entertainment is the best in the business. We talked to other DJ's and Troy Barnett made us feel like family, especially the day of our wedding. My family and friends complimented me on my choice of music and it was all DJ Barnett. The Mirror Photo Booth was the hit of the party. A MUST HAVE! I would recommend everyone to hire DJ Barnett Entertainment for any event they are having.
