I specialize in Singer/Songwriter versions of classic and modern love songs and Instrumental Finger-Style Guitar to create a unique and romantic ambiance. I also offer MC services, microphones, and a top-notch sound system. I take great joy in sharing my music with couples embarking on their journey together. I imbue my cover songs with the same level of dedication I put into my own music creating truly unique arrangements and performances. With many years of classical voice education and professional experience as an audio engineer, you can have peace of mind knowing that every aspect of your music and sound needs will be expertly taken care of. Located in the Central Coast of California, I offer wedding services in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, and Monterey, and am able to travel throughout the state.

Ceremony

Price$800

Description

Up to one hour of acoustic guitar instrumentals and/or guitar and vocal. Includes one to two special requests. For a Ceremony, I usually perform acoustic guitar instrumentals or singer/songwriter material as you prefer, about 20 minutes before the ceremony as the guests gather, followed by a favorite song of yours for the processional and recessional. I can learn those from scratch if there is something special you had in mind.

Dave did a phenomenal job with our wedding music! He played our pre-wedding music as guests were arriving, as well as music throughout our ceremony. Dave’s voice and musical skill are second-to-none, and all of our guests raved about him. He truly went above and beyond, honoring all of our musical requests and helping us come up with song ideas to set the tone we wanted. Dave is an absolute professional and has superb attention to detail. Both his cover songs and his originals are incredible. He also let us utilize his sound system to avoid the additional cost of a DJ. He exceeded all expectations! We couldn’t recommend him more highly. Dave's music made our wedding absolutely perfect. His vocals and guitar playing are absolutely breathtaking. Our guests were impressed by the quality and serenity of it, and we were so happy with how it created such ambiance for our special day. We got married last year and wanted live music, both to set the tone while guests arrived, and during our ceremony. We had talked with Dave about the type of feeling we wanted: both intimate and classy, and he gave us a full range of songs and material to select from, both with vocals and without. He showed up on time with all the equipment needed and worked independently with our coordinator without a glitch. He's a true professional-- on time and totally prepared. The presence of his uniquely beautiful voice and guitar made our evening extra special and we had several guests that specifically commented on how lovely it was. Dave Tate made our wedding a dream! He played as the guests arrived before the ceremony and really set the tone for a beautiful and heartfelt wedding. He was very professional, on time, set everything up seamlessly and was great to work with. He made beautiful arrangements of the songs that we chose to walk down the aisle to and he played and sang a song in the ceremony. It added SO much to have such quality live music on our special day. His voice is amazing and his guitar playing is perfect. Cannot recommend him highly enough! He is the best in the area by far.
