We LOVED our wedding at IslandWood! I worked on the events team at IslandWood from 2019-2021, before shifting careers completely. I always loved to work the weddings, and imagined that my dream wedding would be there one day. I am so so happy that I was able to make that dream come true!! IslandWood goes above and beyond to make the guests' and bride & groom's experiences absolutely perfect! I personally already knew the food would taste amazing, as I used to always eat the leftovers when I worked there. But eating food from a menu that my husband and I got to custom design with Jim was truly an unforgettable experience. All of the guests loved the food, and Jim and his team tackle every request that you throw their way! My husband is Dominican, and Jim made sure that the Dominican food he made was authentic and delicious. At one point, my husband's aunts asked whether a Dominican was working in the kitchen! Moreover, Erica, our event planner, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect weekend! IslandWood is a magical place, and your wedding will be magical if you choose to have it there. Yes, it is pricey, but the experiences that you, your family, and your friends will leave with are truly invaluable!

DeeDee is an incredible owner - providing the best service and advice throughout not only your wedding day, but planning as well! We loved that Sadie Lake had such a large inventory of decor - we saved hundreds here! The bridal suite with beautiful natural light, large and accommodating groom’s suite, and the prep kitchen was a huge bonus. Now let’s talk about the grounds - DeeDee has created a beautiful venue. When we showed up for our tour, she was in gardening gloves and boots - we knew that she kept this place immaculate! Everything on the 18 acres is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for wedding photos! The barn is a beautiful backdrop, the lake is adorable, and the lush green grounds are to die for. The tent and barn provide great alternates for poor weather as well (we didn’t need it, but we were glad to have a backup, knowing Washington). Our guests absolutely loved partying it up at Sadie Lake! Deedee is the kindest vendor, and truly cares for you as a couple and the important part of your wedding day; that you love each other and are getting married!! We highly recommend Sadie Lake! We were lucky enough to be one of the first events in the Gatsby Ballroom! It was a fabulous evening for family and friends to get to know each other the night before our wedding. The food was incredible. We had Beef Wellington and Salmon as our main dishes and the guests raved about both. Many said it was the best salmon they had ever had! We had about 75 guests and the room was perfect. The bartender even had signature drinks that he came up with based on our personal taste. The staff was easy to work with and paid attention to every detail to make it a memorable night and the perfect start to our wedding weekend. We highly recommend using this venue for your upcoming events!

Fireseed was truly the venue of our dreams. Not only was it a beautiful setting, but we loved that the food was so delicious (and our guests loved it too!), that they ran the day of coordination, and that we had all weekend to set up/celebrate/clean up. We had a 35 person wedding at Dunn Gardens in July 2024. It was absolutely amazing. Choosing the gardens was hands-down the best decision of our wedding and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. My husband and I searched all over WA and the Bay Area for wedding venues. We were looking for: - an outdoor wedding in the woods - a space appropriate for 40 guests - the ability to host a medium fancy, catered event- like an elevated backyard wedding We chanced upon Dunn Gardens on a botanical garden website. The moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect spot for us. The space alone may be the most gorgeous, well hidden little pocket of Seattle out there. Even folks not looking to get married should check the gardens out- we visited many times in the year leading up to our wedding, and in every season, the garden is a stunning, PNW dream. This is just what we wanted: a place where we could be at peace in the trees with our guests. It was so magical day-of, and all our guests commented on how special and beautiful the venue was. Though the scenery alone is enough to set this venue apart, the rest of our experience here was also incredible. The professionalism and assistance we received from our venue coordinator, Sara, was wonderful. She helped us every step of the way (for a year!) coordinating with our outside vendors, helping us make key decisions, and solving problems for us that arose day-of with our caterers. Working with Sara was one of the best parts of our wedding process. We also loved the flexibility and access the venue provided. In addition to our Saturday wedding, we hosted a casual rehearsal dinner and nature walk at the gardens Friday night, plus a floral prep party in the garden cottage Friday afternoon. Then, after the wedding, we had Sunday and Monday to clean up. The ongoing access to the gardens all weekend was so helpful logistically and gave us more time to enjoy the space with our families. Most of our wedding took place on lawns outside (there are many little areas to set things up- we had our rehearsal dinner on the cottage lawn, ceremony on the tennis lawn, and reception on the great lawn). For our floral prep, rehearsal dinner food area, and getting ready areas, we used the cottage. We did not rent a tent since it was July (a tent would be a good idea most other months). The venue was very flexible with our choice of vendors and our timeline and vision for the event. A few restrictions that worked fine for us were the limit on the headcount (40 at the time we had our wedding), time cutoff (guests out by 9pm- this was perfect, we bar hopped in Fremont with our friends afterwards), and no microphones, speakers, or DJs (we had a keyboardist, which was great. No mics for the ceremony and toasts, which was not a problem at all). A few more helpful things the venue provided were plastic banquet tables, folding chairs, use of furniture for things like outdoor lounging and gift tables, tablecloths (casual style, perfect for the rehearsal pizza dinner), vases (used for floral prep), and chalkboard signs. We loved our wedding and we are so grateful to have had it at Dunn Gardens. I can’t imagine a more perfect place to get married. I recommend this venue wholeheartedly, and encourage any couple thinking about it to stop in for a visit. You will fall in love with this garden- we certainly did and will be back for years to come.

My now husband and I were also planning this wedding from Washington DC with a limited amount of time in Seattle to come onsite to complete venue walk throughs and final tastings. The Venue Manager always accommodated us, coming in on Sunday to do our final walk through. I am so relieved to say our day went perfectly as planned - not a single thing went wrong. I would highly recommend Columbia for their wine and their beautiful space, but even more emphatically because of the Venue's Manager.

We planned our WA wedding from Southern California and found Woodinville Lavender about 7 months before what would turn out to be our wedding date. The process started by hopping onto a Zoom call with Tom where he showed us so many pictures and examples of weddings past. He provided dates the venue was available and showed us pictures of his lavender farm from that date in years past to show us the most accurate representation of what we would get on our wedding day. He answered all of our questions with ease and we booked without ever visiting the venue, that's how much we trusted him! We were able to meet up with Tom at the venue in person in February where he walked us through the grounds, showed us our possibilities of where ceremony and reception would take place, and assured me (the born and raised Southern Californian) there was a rain plan and what it would entail. Like most brides, I imagined sun on my summer wedding day, but I walked away from that meeting feeling great about the rain plan if we needed to enact it. Tom was incredibly communicative and accommodating. When we were struggling to find certain vendors and his recommended list was out of our budget, he went out of his way to brainstorm some more vendors he worked with that was within our budget and gave us details on how they were when he worked with them in weddings past. Truly, Tom's lengthy experience in the wedding industry is such a bonus to his beautiful venue. It put us at ease throughout the process and day of that he knew what he was doing and that we could trust him fully (which is priceless when it comes to vendors). We also forgot to grab a sentimental item and reached out to him a few weeks after the wedding to see if we happened to have left it at the venue. He found it and shipped it back to us, no charge, no questions asked. In summary, the venue is incredible, but Tom is the best (:

Gleneagle Golf Course was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was very responsive, which helped make the planning process a breeze. The venue itself is in a beautiful area that provided a stunning backdrop for our special day. They made the day easier and a lot less stressful - the in-house catering with an amazing taco bar was a huge hit with our guests, the bartender was fantastic, and the owner's son who DJed did an incredible job. We also loved having the outdoor space that let the kids run off their energy. Overall, the Gleneagle team were wonderful people to work with, and the value was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue.

We had our wedding here June 24, 2023 - and we could not have been happier with our choice. The venue itself is just beautiful already, but Dave and Terri are constantly doing work throughout the year to improve it in whatever way they can think of! We booked our venue 1 1/2 years in advance, so we took many trips to Stilly Brook during that time, and every single time we went to visit we noticed an additional change that had been made to keep the venue looking beautiful. Whether it was repainting to make something look more fresh/vibrant, planting new flowers, or adding a new structure to use as an additional option for ceremony location or photos - they are always working hard to keep this venue in tip top shape year round. Even the massive lawn stays mowed and in pristine condition! Additionally, a great feature here is while there are many outdoor options for where the ceremony is to be held, there is a beautiful indoor option as well! In the PNW, even for a summer wedding, it was great to know we had a great back up option in case the weather didn’t cooperate. Lastly, Terri is amazing to work with - she is so communicative, helpful, and knowledgeable. She lays things out thoroughly to help navigate all the ins and outs of wedding planning you may not even think of, and was always available for any questions or needs we had. Special mention to their preferred bartender, Leanne, who was just as communicative and helpful as Terri while planning for the bar! The great quality and kindness of the preferred vendors, and the beautiful condition of the property itself, are a reflection of all the care that is put into this venue by Dave and Terri - this is something that becomes even more clear with each interaction, as this care is poured into your day as well. We highly recommend Stilly Brook!!

Pour Girls & Some Guys LOVES working at Falling Water Gardens. The team there are always so great to work with. They take great care of the clients and their guests and make it easy for us to also take great care of them. The venue is AMAZING. The Bar is really nice to work and serve from. And the surrounding area/ venue is just so beautiful!! You can't go wrong with booking this venue for your event, the Customer Service and ambiances are equally spectacular.

Plus, the convenience of hosting all our events and guests in one location made our day so much smoother. We were also thrilled that they provided MC equipment, a refrigerator/freezer, and all the tables and chairs, saving us the hassle of renting. Ray's was recommended by a friend of a friend and are so pleased with how everything turned out!
