Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes! We recommend bringing in your own alcohol. There is a fridge available for some storage. You will need to get a Temporary Banquet Permit at https://lcb.wa.gov/licensing/online-banquet-permit.

Do you have on-site parking?

Yes, Port Gamble has some event specific parking spaces and several event specific large grass lots that provide unlimited free parking for your guests.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Is there staff on site during my event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Port Gamble staff members are available the entire time of your reservation. We are also happy to prompt your wedding party down the aisle at your ceremony. However, we are the facility coordinators only and not wedding planners. Our services do not include serving of food/alcohol, coordinating the schedule, contacting vendors, decoration, or other duties not related to the facilities.

Are tables and chairs provided?

Yes, Port Gamble includes tables and chairs available from our inventory at each venue. Set up and break down of tables and chairs is handled by Port Gamble staff.

Am I required to use certain vendors?

Accepted Answer

Port Gamble partners with specific caterers to ensure top-notch service and food for your event.  For any vendors aside from catering, (such as florists, photographers, and DJs) you are free to hire any company you would like to use. We are happy to make suggestions for these vendors that have worked at Port Gamble many times and demonstrated quality, professional work.

What is the decoration/clean up policy?

Set up and take down are included in your rental time. No material may be attached, affixed, tacked, stapled, or taped to walls, doors, or any part of the interior. Lit candles may be used only if the container they are in is taller than the flame.  No bird seed, floating lanterns,confetti. Sparklers are permitted. Whatever you bring in must be removed same day or disposed of in trash receptacles.

How do I reserve my date?

Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. A signed rental agreement and a non-refundable 50% retainer is required to book your date. The remaining 50% venue rental fee and a refundable security deposit will be due 10 days before the event. We accept cash, checks, VISA and MasterCard.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

The 50% reservation retainer is required at time of booking and is non-refundable. The $400 security deposit will be refunded within 20 days of your event, provided there is no damage or cleaning charges. The reservation retainer including any monies paid may be refunded if your event is cancelled due to COVID19 mitigation or military deployment (100% refund).

When can I have my rehearsal?

Port Gamble provides a one hour rehearsal at no additional charge. Rehearsals are scheduled on Thursday afternoons for weekend weddings. We are typically booked for events on Fri and Sat, so it is difficult for us to guarantee a rehearsal the night before a weekend wedding. In some cases we can make exceptions a few weeks before your wedding. Port Gamble staff is available to run your rehearsal.

Where can I get ready the day-of?

Port Gamble happily provides dressing space in our historic conference rooms in town at no additional charge for up to 5 hours. This facility offers seclusion, a private bathroom, and is less than a block away from the Pavilion. Please note that the conference rooms must be reserved ahead of time to ensure their availability.

What kind of clean-up am I responsible for?

You are responsible for taking out everything that you brought in, including trash. We have dumpsters on-site that can be used to empty trash containers. Mopping, sweeping, and cleaning the bathrooms is handled by our janitorial staff. We do ask that the venue is in as clean a condition as possible and free of debris and litter. Break down of tables and chairs is handled by our staff.

Is smoking allowed?

Our venues are all non-smoking areas. Guests may smoke outside of the buildings/tented areas at a minimum distance of 25 feet, in accordance with Washington State law. Please place cigarette butts in appropriate containers.
