mpliments for the food during our wedding, and the staff took such great care of us during our wedding day. We both wish we could go back to the venue just to try food there again. Shauna, who we initially worked with when we signed on to work with the Fig House, was really great and worked with us so well. At first, the venue was out of our price range, but she worked to get it down to a price we were comfortable with. As we got closer to the big day, Shauna was subbed out for Kevin on the event staff. Our process took a little bit of a turn here as Kevin, while nice and easy to work with in our 1 on 1 interactions, was ultimately not the most helpful and caused as quite a bit of stress in the lead up to our big day. We were sent the wrong bill, told about some restrictions to the venue really late in the process, and were unacknowledged by him on the day of our rehearsal. We really recommend the Fig House to anyone looking for an intimate and unique space in LA, but can’t recommend working with Kevin. It’s also helpful to know that the venue has some limitations with timing, the use of outside vendors, and some hidden fees!

We've lived and worked in Hollywood for a while and when we started looking for our venue, we knew we wanted to have our wedding in Hollywood. We had seen shows at The Fonda, but had no clue you could have an event there. We were over the moon when the thought of having our wedding there became a reality. The Fonda is historic to Hollywood and the inside is so unique and drop dead gorgeous-- it was a total no brainer. Working with their Director, Bailey Lyon, was so easy and seamless that it made our decision that much easier. There are so many cool spaces within and so many possibilities to make your event amazing... even our super traditional parents were all equally blown away with how gorgeous The Fonda is. We got changed and ready in the same dressing rooms as some of our favorite musicians and even got our families on stage for a pictures. I could go on and on about all the wonderful things about The Fonda. At the end of the day, we had the most amazing wedding / the best day & night of our lives with our names on a marquee on Hollywood Boulevard. If you're thinking of booking The Fonda for a special event, you're not going to be disappointed... and neither will your guests!

Venue considerations

There are so many positive things that I’d like to share about the La Cañada Thursday Club! I first toured the venue about 2 years ago and fell in love the moment I saw the courtyard. The beautiful big trees, the way the bright pink bougainvillea plants draped around the entrance gates, and the fountain with the beautiful teal Spanish tiles.. it was everything I could want and more! The garden out front is the perfect area to take photos with its shady green trees. My absolute favorite detail are the beautiful deep teal doors! Another perfect area for photos. The ballroom is equally beautiful! While the space does hold up to 130 people, it’s the perfect place for an intimate celebration and I loved that there was a tearoom area for our Photo Booth and dessert/coffee area. We absolutely loved our wedding! We loved working with Ani. You can truly tell that she enjoys doing what she does because she showed us so much care during the planning process, she always made us laugh, always checked in to ask how we were doing/feeling. She was professional and showed great attention to detail, made sure to answer any question we had and most importantly made sure we were happy! She worked well with our wedding coordinator and vendors and worked alongside Jose (venue maintenance worker). Ani even left us the sweetest message on our audio guest book (After the Tone). I’m so happy to have her voice recorded in our messages, she helped make our day so special and I will always thank her. Everything flowed so seamlessly! I also have to give praise to Jose, who does the maintenance and help around the venue. The day before our wedding we were able to access the venue to set up, drop off items, and Jose was there helping our family, answering questions. Even the day of the wedding Jose was there to step in and help and would check in our our guests as well! Our guests raved on how beautiful the venue and how helpful the staff was. We truly feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate our special day at the La Cañada Thursday Club. I wish I could relive our wedding day all over again, you could just feel the presence of so much love in the room. Thank you so much to Ani & Jose for making our wedding so beautiful and special!

Castle Green, quite frankly, was the first choice we made when we were planning our wedding, and what an excellent choice at that. It was the first venue we saw, and after seeing three others, we couldn’t stop comparing them to Castle Green. We immediately had to go back and lock it down. A historical landmark of Pasadena, you really feel you are transported to the past, and that was the experience that we wanted for our guests! They have a curated vendor list that really helped make planning our wedding a flawless experience. Tatiana is the Director of Events there, and she too was a major help from beginning to end. The Majestic Downtown is unlike any other wedding venue in Los Angeles. We are the venue for the couples who notice the details and want something utterly timeless and one-of-a-kind. I recently attended an all-white wedding organized by Essentialyfe, and it was truly a breathtaking experience from start to finish. The venue, perched on Mulholland in Beverly Hills, offered the most incredible views overlooking the city—a perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. The all-white decor was nothing short of stunning, with every detail meticulously designed to create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. The cocktail hour was a highlight, with a wide selection of creative, expertly crafted drinks and beautifully presented hors d'oeuvres. Guests mingled on the terrace, enjoying the sunset while live music played in the background, creating an unforgettable ambiance. Essentialyfe made the entire experience seamless. Their staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From setting up the venue to making sure guests were well taken care of, the team was on top of every detail. The company was an absolute delight to work with—professional, organized, and responsive. Overall, it was a flawless event in every way. I highly recommend Essentialyfe for anyone looking to host a high-end wedding or event. We were looking for a unique venue for our wedding. We knew we wanted it to be outdoors and a place for both a reception and the ceremony so that our guests wouldn't have to travel between the two. The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. The playhouse was a great place that the kids could escape to to watch TV while their parents enjoyed the party. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) I appreciated her communication and patience walking me through things - planning a wedding myself was a task that was draining on me! One thing I didn’t realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn’t do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I’d like confetti, but she explained why she doesn’t allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn’t enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. We’ve started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn’t feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can’t wait to start reading her book. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!
