This historic Japanese garden and summer cottage were built at the turn of the last century. A private estate spanning 125 acres of gardens, fields, streams, mountains and trails, it has remained in the same family all this time. The garden is recognized as an important example of the Japanese “strolling” garden from that era. Because the estate remains in private hands, it is made available by the family for special occasions on a limited basis (2-3 ceremonies per year) The venue includes the Japanese garden and the surrounding meadows and fields. If you are looking for a location for a formal wedding ceremony and reception or a destination wedding site for enjoyment with guests over a long weekend of fun, hiking, fly-fishing etc., this venue offers rare access to an exclusive, one-of-a-kind destination. Takach's Grove first opened it's doors in 1970 by Andy and Marguerite Takach. It was home to countless company picnics, Family Reunions and special events of all kinds.
