Maddie did an amazing job for our wedding. She was great to work with and made our day stress free and run smoothly. She is organized and her templates helped simplify the planning process for us. Wonderful to work with as the family of the bride, the family of the groom, with the multiple vendors. Communication skills are on the spot always mindful of time, tracking details and pulling together the many parts of a wedding to have an event from early in the day through the very end of the day departing the venue that ran so smoothly. I've had a camera in my hand since I was at least ten years old. Photography has always been something I've been passionate about. I was the friend that captured all the memories in high school. Once I got older, and more interested in this becoming something real, I decided to start my business in 2018. I've had the pleasure of working with the most loving clients ever since.

Kay was hands down the best wedding photographer I could have ever asked for. Her style is light and bright which transferred the brightness and happiness of our beautiful wedding day. Not only is she incredibly professional and sweet, but she also delivered a preview in 1 day and our full day of photos in about TWO WEEKS. The online gallery she sent us had literacy over 1,000 photos and they were all edited beautifully. She was able to capture every tear, every funny face, and every unattractive cheesy head-thrown-back laugh. Other than family portraits, she was truly a documentary style photographer in that no photos were staged and every shot is authentic. I could go on and on and on about the actual photos, but in addition to the extreme high quality of her work, Kay was reassuring and helpful throughout the whole process, going so far as supporting me even more than my day-of-coordinator in the creation of the timeline for the day of. If you have any doubts--don't. She's amazing. I would hire her again and again and most likely will for photos in the future.

Stephanie is simply amazing! From the time we had our initial on boarding until the wedding was over she was very attentive and made sure I was cool, calm, and collected the whole process . When we started planning we wanted our day to be as stress-free as possible and fun so Attaboy was an easy choice. There was so much I loved about the venue, but here are some top considerations: Location/logistics- It was so easy to get everything and everyone to the venue and our guests loved how easy walking or parking was. Other vendors also expressed appreciation that they were able to get in earlier in the day and that it was easy to get to. Since it is off the creek, the outside area felt more intimate. There are also lots of cute areas to take pictures in the venue and just steps away. Aesthetics- the venue was beautiful! The simplicity of the set up really made our florals pop. They provided tables and seating which were perfect with our design. The whole space lends itself to so many different design possibilities. Also, since it is very cute/clean as it, we didn't need to go overboard with decor. Service- Anna was a huge help throughout the entire process. She made me feel confident that everything would run smoothly. She was also quick to address questions/needs. The day of the event all of the staff were wonderful. They were so friendly and fun!

We brought Caroline on 4-6 weeks out from our wedding. She was instrumental in helping alleviate the pressure on us during those final weeks - she became the point of contact for all our vendors communicating behind the scenes, making sure all the final details and arrangements were being made and accounted for. We would meet regularly for status check ins and she always went above and beyond and offered to help with anything else that she could. Even for our rehearsal dinner which wasn't exactly part of her job description, she was beyond helpful in helping pick things up to/from the venue and caterer because we couldn't. She is extremely organized, communicative, solutions-oriented, and not to mention just a cool person who is so friendly and funny that she'll make it feel fun. Can't recommend Caroline and Protea enough!

We booked Union Mills while it was still under construction. While we were unsure what the final product would look like, we knew that we wanted to work with Niko. Turns out, the final product was gorgeous! And our suspicions about Niko weren’t wrong, either. He was generous and accommodating throughout the whole process. Nothing is cookie cutter. He wants the catering to match your vision 100 percent. Did we mention the food was delicious? Niko’s catering skills and having a kitchen on-site made for a great culinary experience. We are so grateful we were able to host our wedding in Downtown Frederick in a venue that perfectly showcases the town’s historic roots and charm.

Christopher, an attorney in NY- NJ and I, a Chiropractor in the Virgin Islands, are very busy with our careers. It was difficult planning a wedding, so we required vendors that are easy to work with. Mike always answered our emails and texts and returned phone calls ASAP. We reviewed different DJ's and selected Mike because we wanted Latin Caribbean music plus American music for our entertainment. We put together a last-minute wedding reception plan, we sent the recommendations to Mike, and he worked everything perfectly. He was able to get a feel for the crowd and put music together that worked perfectly. Mike put together a timeline that was perfect, and we were able to accommodate all aspects of our reception, which included lots of dancing. We looked at so many videographers and watched so many wedding videos. Livvy’s style was exactly what we were looking for. She was super responsive and easy to work with from day one, and her packages were incredibly reasonable. When we met to do our love story, Livvy was fun and made sure we were both comfortable. She gave great direction so we never felt awkward. She really was an incredible hype girl the whole time, which made us feel even more comfortable about being in front of a camera. I’m pretty sure she got us our love story in around 24 hours (benefits of the off season!) I cry every time I watch it. I’m just in awe of her artistry…the questions she asked us and the way she wove our answers together tells our story so beautifully….it’s truly something we will treasure forever. On our wedding day, Livvy was awesome. She really was a ninja in getting her shots, because after our couples portraits, I didn’t even see her until she was getting ready to leave! We got our teaser trailer pretty quickly, and we got our full video not long after that, and every time we watch it, we notice another subtle detail that just blows us away (one of my favorite details is how when I mentioned our dog in my vows, she overlaid video of us with our dog before the ceremony). When we got our motion book (which is another fantastic bonus of booking Livvy!), the screen was cracked, but we contacted Livvy and she had a replacement ordered and sent in like 24 hours! We can’t say enough great things about Livvy. If you are on the fence about hiring a videographer–just do it, and hire Livvy if you can. You will not regret it.

However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help. I was upstairs starting my beautification and when I came down the stairs towards my dad to walk down the aisle, I was blown away seeing how beautiful my home looked! Thank You, Jessica!!

Makeup lasted all night. Looked amazing. I could say so much about her. She was sweet, professional, she did a range of looks on my girls. She did all 6 of us in a couple hours. If you abide by the time slots she needs it will be easy for everyone. All my girls loved her as a person as well. Some of them slept with their makeup on and woke up with lipstick still in tact, lashes still on. She is on time. For my woman of color, she can match your skin tone exactly. My girls were mostly white but my MOH is Hispanic, and another is a very dark in complexion and both blended seamlessly. My makeup remained perfect, normally my eyes get annoyed with mascara and lashes but they didn't when she did it. I would also be friends with her IRL. THAT is how amazing she is.

Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. I started Lal Moya Weddings & Events in 2019 because I wanted to create a more personal event for my clients. I have absolutely loved working with couples on one of the most important days of their lives. From weddings with 50 guests to over 350 in churches, hotels, and the great outdoors, I've done them all.

We hired Lal Moya to do the florals for our daughter’s wedding. We needed florals for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and full sit-down dinner reception, and we needed it in 4 weeks, AND our daughter was set on a jewel-toned color palette…in spring… Lal Moya came through! The team created gorgeous arrangements that were exactly what the bride wanted. They adjusted the number of arrangements, boutonnièrs, etc as our needs evolved. Their professionalism through the entire process was stellar. The price was quite good. I highly recommend choosing them for your florals. You won’t be disappointed!

Went above and beyond and made our vision come to life with the expansive decor they offer and her creative eye! I can’t recommend them enough! Beautifully unique venue, stunning decor to choose from their vast inventory, the eclectic colorful farmhouse has an amazing photo opportunity in every nook and cranny! The bridal suite is gorgeous and relaxing and the grooms area was spectacular. I could go on and on raving about everything this venue offers. We were married in one of the outdoor locations by the greenhouse and it was perfect (the rain plan ceremony spot was a stunning back up option-so many great areas to choose from). The Christian Royer House was the best venue for my wedding! What Michelle & Jerry offer for their couples goes above and beyond anything else I've seen offered by other wedding venues & owners. They provide decorations, ceremony centerpieces, two separate floors for the bridal party to get ready, a honeymoon cabin, and a detailed planner with tips and tricks to help you plan a wedding according to their venue. The venue is gorgeous and the fountain in the background made the ceremony so peaceful and romantic. We absolutely loved how our wedding turned out and the support Michelle & Jerry gave us was so helpful! The staff is amazing and gives recommendations for vendors that frequent there and their coordinator we had, Maddie, was a god send for an unfortunate event with our original photographer and was in constant communication with us prior to the wedding. Amazing views as well as a great area to get ready in for both guys and girls.

My team of DJs and I truly appreciate it. A little background on who I am and what sets Frederick DJs apart from the rest. Starting as a DJ as a kid, yes, a kid of only 14! I took a huge interest in the entertainment industry. It started a little before then, but that’s when I got into DJing. I fell in love with playing music for others while working at a roller-skating rink. (Wisconsin Sk8 University) I later moved on from the roller rink where I became a DJ assistant for a solo DJ who specialized in weddings. Let’s just day that gave me a whole new love for the job.

We recently had Robert DJ our June wedding. Pros were that he was on time and friendly. He handled little hiccups smoothly and w/o complaint. Prices are reasonable and he offers a lot of services, like ceremony recordings and fun add-ons. He really can be a one-stop shop for a lot of wedding entertainment. While I think he is a good all-purpose DJ, I'm not sure that he was the right fit for us in the end. Specifically our two biggest concerns were that 1) he didn't consistently use the language we had asked him to use to address guests and 2) communication leading up to the wedding was less organized than I would have preferred. In our case, we really prioritized communicating with vendors about our desire for an affirming, somewhat non-traditional wedding. From the onset when we hired vendors, we asked about comfort and experience working with a diverse range of guests and requested that vendors be attentive to using inclusive language, especially as it relates to including LGBTQ folks. In the case of DJ services, we requested he not use gendered language like "ladies and gentlemen" due to the gender diversity of our guests. We also had an integrated wedding party so we weren't using some of the traditional wedding party language. I get that this is a specific and maybe unusual request, so we wanted to be really sure our vendors were okay with it, and Robert was super friendly and agreeable when we talked about it. I think Robert's intentions were really good here -- he expressed a lot of desire to make sure he got this right and willingness to be careful. Maybe those requests were made too long ago though, because when we got to the day of, we had a lot of issues here. Our coordinator had to talk to him about using less gendered language, which did not seem to result in much improvement (there was definitely effort...at one point he said "ladies and....guests....esteemed guests" but then he went right back to "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls"), and it was really frustrating for both us and her. He also told us we'd have a ceremony recording the day after. There was really no rush, but that was what he told us would happen. Instead, we got the recording a week later than he had originally stated, and we were not told it would be delayed until I asked twice. I think it's also worth noting that the ceremony recording did not include the music for procession and recession. (This is on us, we should have confirmed that would be included, but it was disappointing) Communication tended to be a little last-minute and unscheduled -- e.g., spontaneous phone calls rather than putting something on the calendar. Followups were sometimes required. He also texted me (bride) the morning of asking if he could bring an assistant and requesting we add a meal for that additional person. Not a big deal, but I do wish he would have communicated in advance/not while we were all trying to get ready. Otherwise, I thought/heard feedback that some of the music transitions were a bit awkward, but not to an extent that was too disruptive. None of these are big issues, but the multitude of small communication inconveniences and frustrations did add up to where I would not feel comfortable recommending Frederick DJs to a friend. Robert is nice, but I'm not sure he was the right call for our needs. He might be a better fit for someone else, particularly if you are looking to include a number of add-ons and want to use one, reasonably-priced company

In addition, our covered deck, which overlooks both the 1st tee and 18th green, is sure to be a favorite with our guests. Maryland National Golf Club can host ceremonies, as well. Our venue offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, where friends and family can come together and enjoy a beautiful atmosphere while celebrating your love.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Alyssa, their wedding coordinator, and all of the staff at Maryland National Golf Club. Alyssa is very professional, detail oriented, and super easy to work with. She gave us exactly what we asked for and everything we didn't know we needed. She made perfect recommendations based on who we are as a couple, and filled in the gaps with details we had forgotten about. The staff as well was extremely friendly and easy to work with. After our wedding, our families, guests, photographer, and DJ could not say enough good things about Alyssa and the staff here! Maryland National Golf Club itself provided a beautiful, intimate setting for our wedding. We had a little over 90 guests and a wedding party of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. We used the outdoor ceremony space and rented white chairs from the venue. They were set up exactly the way we asked, and it turned out beautiful. We also rented their white arbor for the ceremony itself and asked for it to be set up in front of the beautiful greenery and plants on the right side. We provided decorations for the chairs and the arbor, and Alyssa and her staff set everything up perfectly. We also used the inside, upstairs space for our reception. We decided to have our sweet-heart table in front of big windows, and the tables for our guests set up around the rented dance floor in the center of the room. Appetizers and food were served in the space to the right of of their fireplace. Again, it was intimate and perfect! We provided decor for the tables as well and rented their candle vases and Alyssa made everything so beautiful. Everything flowed well, and guests were easily able to move around and find everything. We also used their catering services, and everything was phenomenal! Another aspect of our wedding that our guests could not say enough about. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue was. The day of our wedding, I did not feel stressed or worried about any details coming together because I knew everything was prepared and being taken care of by Alyssa and their capable staff. They gave a dream day that my husband and I will treasure forever.

Our wedding here was so much fun and unique, which was the perfect fit for my husband and I. While there are so specific rules of the venue that are in place because of the uniqueness of the venue that can make it a little tough to work around, the team with Fetewell was so easy to communicate with in order to iron out those details and come up with solutions. 10/10!
